If you do not have fusible fleece/batting then you can sew quilting lines to hold it in place. It’s free and it will not wear out from washing like adhesives can over time. Happy sewing. Thanks so much for having both PDF and SVG. You are amazing and generous!
I stumbled onto your video about Itty Bitty Box Bags, wonderful tutorial btw! But I'm leaving this comment, not for that, but for you, as an individual. You make such informative, easy to follow, RELATABLE, warm-hearted videos. The way you present even the more advanced tutorials, leaves me feeling like I can accomplish it! Thank you so much!!
I wanted to start teaching my grandson 11 yrs old and granddaughter 6 yrs how to sew and this is a simple project to start on. My grandson is actually looking forward to learning. Thank you for this tutorial.
I absolutely ADORE hearing that! Getting kids to sew is such a passion of mine (I wish TH-cam regulations weren't so sticky about that). Thank you for teaching them how to make something for themselves! It's such a gift.
I try to live a zero waste/low waste lifestyle the last few years so I like to DIY some of my own products. So glad I found your channel! You should do a whole DIY zero waste items video! Like making a travel utensil case and other items that replace disposables! Loving your content! Some ideas low waste community uses that can be sewn at home: Utensil case Reusable coffee cup sleeve (you have this) Reusable food storage bags (you have this) Reusable pads/panty liners Maybe a water bottle strap could be cool! Bulk food drawstring bags Produce bags
Thank you for the free pattern! I’m waiting for hardware to arrive so I can make a couple Spice Racks. I’m excited to try this out to pass the time. Thanks, Jess!
PERFECT PROJECT!!! I am going to Fayetteville TX in Feb for a crafting retreat with friends. I'm making them ITH coasters as a gift and NOW I'm making a cup sleeve to match their coasters!!! THANK YOU!!!!
Your so cute. Love your attitude. Going to make these for a little gift for my older lady friends. One is 102 years old. We meet up to Mc Donald’s for lunch on Monday’s once in n a while. Thank you thank you
One of my after effects from the chemo I was on makes cold things really hurt my hands and fingers. This helps so much, especially the upgrade larger ones. I just love your videos. Thank you thank you.
Your enthusiasm is contagious! After watching a few of your videos I risked life and limb lol digging my sewing machine out of my storage unit. Now to refresh my memory on how to use the darn thing!
Thank you so much. I live in Durban South Africa (a tropical climate). I am going to use this for coffee holders etc. Hot coffee in a ceramic cup gets so hot you can't hold it. I am going to try. Once again thank you. I came across your channel by chance.
My friends & family like the frozen Frappuccino drinks, so the cups are bigger. I will continue making your size & then make it 1 inch bigger for the larger cups. Great pattern. No messing with buttons.
Thank you so much for the tutorial, pattern, and how to adjust the size if needed. I like your enthusiasm and making it reversible to suit our location or mood. I change moods quickly so I might need to switch out a couple for the same cup of coffee 😊😐😕😁!
Haha I feel you Carol! My husband takes the storm trooper sleeve out with him, and he puts the trooper side out if he wants people to leave him alone, and the porg side out if he is feeling my open to conversation. Trouble is, everyone asks about these coffee sleeves! They are just so fun to use.
@@Mizrea I remember her saying if you get a coffee cup that has a cardboard sleeve, you can open out the sleeve and see how it compares to the pattern or use it to make the pattern. The fusible interfacing or batting piece is the finished size. The larger pattern for the fabric includes seam allowance so you have to add them to the size of the cardboard.
Made some for gifts to my secret pal at work and some others that I work with. Such a fast sew. Great tutorial. Thanks for doing these tutorials, I have learned so much from you. Now I am off to make more
Just a thought... not sure if it would make the side seams too bulky... but what about pressing under one edge of each piece before sewing each into a circle. Your description of sewing around the circle is fantastic!! And puff paint?!?!?!!! Just awesome!! You are so fun :-)
I will be making these very soon. If it wasn’t bed time I would get up and do it now. You make me want to do them cuz you are so stinking adorable. Love your videos.
Cute and easy! It’s hard to wait through the introduction because I’m so eager to see the project, but I’m always glad to know the development process.
Just made a couple of the others with button closures, then saw your tutorial! Will definitely try this and probably won't be able to stop making them! Thank you so much, love your enthusiasm, I feel the same about great, practical things that WORK OUT!! Have a great day!
A great project. I've seen so many sleeve projects and they never give me a result I'm happy with. This one is so easy and it came out perfect the first time. Thanks you so much. I'm going to do it again using fleece on both outers - or possibly felt in place of fleece.
Ray!! I'm so happy to hear that! I know how you feel, most items I make require a lot of trial and error. Congratulations on getting it on the first try!
I picked up a mixed bag of sewing stuff at the thrift store last night. One item in it was a package of feet to make it easy to sew tight curves! I haven’t tried it yet. I don’t have a 1/4” mark on my plate, so I hope they help! Then before bed, I just came across this video! I guess that’s a sign I need to make these, especially since I’m going on a road trip next week!
I know this was 4 years ago - but this just popped up - love this idea my granddaughter has been after me to make her som lol - she glad this popped up - easy please thank you
YEEESSSS!!! This is PERFECT!! This is what I have been looking for. Now off to make a bunch with all the scraps I have because I can't throw anything away.
A couple of years ago I made coffee sleeves and thought "wouldn't it be great to have a no button and loop" I'm excited to see you did ALL the work and when I give these as gifts my friends will think I'm the genuis
I'm not the first to think of this, but I did have to figure it out without the help of the internet. So I did feel pretty proud of myself. Thanks LaJune!
Jess, you are hill-ARIOUS....so entertaining 😃! Thank you for your enthusiasm and fantastic tutorials. Love having you in my sewing room with me. Cheers😎😀
Oh my days this is amazing!! I’ve made coffee sleeves with buttons and loops and find after a while the elastic loop goes slack. This is a perfect way of making them and I can’t wait to have a go!
So I made my first one...so easy!! Unfortunately it ended up too small for my coffee cup, so I’m going to try and lengthen the pattern a little and see if it works second time around :)
Lots of custom fabric groups on Facebook. I'm working on a post about it in my Facebook group, OklaRoots Creatives that should make it easier to find these.
I watched this a year ago, and with the pandemic, nobody was really going out, or dropping by over Christmas, so didn't make this...BUT, wow, with Christmas coming up again, I'm making SO MANY for stocking fillers...am a tad addicted to be honest, think I even made one for my postman..

I'm going to make this today! Thanks for the tutorial! I've been thinking about how to add an inner pocket (between the 2 panels) to hold coffee cash.
Thank you so much for the pattern. That was super nice of you!
You are not being overly excited.....THESE ARE EXCITING!!!!!!! Love it, I made one today and now I want to make MORE!!!!!! Thank you!

Thanks for easy to follow instructions. I appreciate your time and kindness for sharing them.
I love this design. I believe I can make it a bit easier. Go ahead and iron those raw edges and it will eliminate the folding.
That's what I was thinking.
Thank you for the free pattern! I’m waiting for hardware to arrive so I can make a couple Spice Racks. I’m excited to try this out to pass the time. Thanks, Jess!
Made this and it took me all of 25 min with the help of your wonderful svg file. Awesome tutorial thank you!!

Awww that is such a sweet gift! I hope she loves it! Thank you for sharing this with me.
with the puff paint you could use a coordinating color and put tiny polka dots or speckles if the pain on both sides and keep the reversible aspect
God bless u jess u r sooo adorable!!! No wonder everyone loves u and you're channel is growing good on you! Blessings to you and your family 🙏🏻💟💟
One of my after effects from the chemo I was on makes cold things really hurt my hands and fingers. This helps so much, especially the upgrade larger ones. I just love your videos. Thank you thank you.

I also use insul-bright to protect from hot & cold. I love the puff paint idea. I was thinking about running it around the stitches on both sides.
Omg these will make great fish extender gifts for our Disney Cruise! Thank you!
YES!!! Ohhhh now I have to make some cruise themed ones 😍😍
@@OklaRoots sent you a few pics of finished products on insta! Thanks again!
Perfect for Xmas stocking stuffers. Love the Star Wars fabric. I am a fellow Disney buff
These are fantastic gifts!
I did it!! Here in Canada. More Tim Horton than Starbucks.

I think I missed the instructions on how to adjust size, where can I find those?
