It needs polishing, tbh I think it has a lot of potentials but 20 dollars is way too high for what it is now.
you should've realized! this game has resolved the 'driver free safety feature' the cars are so well programmed, No one got hit! LOL
Not overly surprised. Had my early concerns when the trailer mostly featured very basic stuff as taking a shower and buying stuff, over actually showing more gameplay in general and social interactions. It made me think it's going to be a tedious work grind, with juggling needs and buying apartment stuff, I didn't see much indications there were gonna be many social interactions, clubbing and other activities than work and buying.
it is an asset flip, he is using the first person adventure template that was given away for free some months ago on the UE4 marketplace. You will see the same assets over and over again because those were packs given away prior on the market. The UE4 market gives away a number of assets for free every month. I know cuz I do hobby game design on the side, i cant make assets worth a damn but I am quite good with the UE4 Blueprint node based coding language so I often use assets to make personal games for fun but nothing worth releasing to the public.

I feel that a bit more polish, and a bit more direction, this mediocre game could become a half decent experience.

From what i'm seeing, this feels more like a tech demo or proof of concept. The main systems are there, but there's not really any actual content yet. If it is just one person, i'd say 2-3 years is a good estimate on bringing the game to something that could be enjoyable and worth looking at, so long as they keep up the work.
We *DEFINITELY* need more Arnold impressions in the future. That shit is awesome.

AAA Developers: Take a few years to develop and release a game with an entire 100+ team studio working on it day-in and day-out to create a game that is usually a straightforward genre game (fps, mmo, third person adventure, racing, etc.)
Early Access Developers: Just one dude in his bedroom trying to make a massive rp game with thousands of complex mechanics that all have to work and mesh together to create an experience where literally anything goes. Including but not limited to: Thirst sleep and hunger, eating and dieting, showering and cleaning, clothing and warmth system, day/night cycle, first person and third person mechanics, driving simulation, inventory systems, a multitude of different stores with their own individual operating mechanics, npc behaviors to create a dynamic world, and then moving onto jobs each with their own individual mechanics implemented such as: gas station owner with shop maintenance, mechanic with an entire vehicle crafting system, police officer with its own complete gameplay system with filing reports, arresting perps, weapon mechanics, etc. and a nearly infinite amount of other jobs with their own insanely ridiculous amounts of mini-gameplay structures that all have to work properly and not completely break the game. Oh and that one person developing the game plans to do all of that in 6 months to a year. You know. Developing something AAA developers aren't even capable of developing, and planning on doing it in less than half the amount of time it takes a massive team to create a simple game.
And people are absolutely shocked that these games all turn out to be scams.

While you are correct about this project being a big undertaking, You listed all the wrong things. A inventory system for example takes maybe 20 minutes to make. It is not complex in the slightest. Adding things like hunger and health, are some of the most basic programming you will ever do. The complex things are creating a netcode that supports a high number of players and optimization to allow for high entity counts. Everything else can be done by someone with maybe a year of games development and a good understanding of the language they are using. Anyway it looks like this game is singleplayer so I guess what I said doesn't really count for this RP game.

He wasn’t, most asset flips dont have cinematics like that. But notice he got quiet as the cinematic got bad and confusing.

Gotta review the alpha release success story that is Squad. They were real rough in the start but seeing a dev team go from modding to shotty pre alpha to a already beloved milsim game is amazing

Bigfry have you played broke protocol? It's a life sim but it actually has alot to it like police, firefighters, pizza delivery,houses, apartments. The game is block based but it's interesting.
As much as we all love a good big fry trashing of a game, I would love even more a series of you finding unique games that are awesome . You could call it "sleeper games". Talk about a game that don't get the credit it deserves . That would be awesome, there is so many games out there now a days it would be super helpful as well .

Oh god not another one. Also I highly recommend you play The Coin game. It works and its actually fun and polished and its made by a SOLO DEV. Pretty entertaining if you like arcade machines

0:56 thats because unreal automatically enables steam vr and oculus plugins which loads the drivers when you package and run the game, thats embarrassing that the devoloper missed that
I heard it's a matter of just clicking a checkmark to enable or disable it when uploading to Steam. 😂

The reason why SteamVR pops up is probably because the devs didnt bothered to check what plug-ins enabled (there is a SteamVR plug-in that you need to disable or else SteamVR will launch everytime you launch the game) before building shipping build of the game. And since they dont have VR set, it never showed up for them.
When balanced right and some time for development this can be a great game
They are using character creator for the people and all its starter clothes settings.
