Those guys on the other side will find it very hard to cross to the other side when that seal feels like it’s territory is being breached. The Leopard seal is one of the most territorial types of seals only being a step down from elephant seals and Walruses.
No, leopard seals very very rarely attack humans, and they never hunt us (most attacks are deemed to be territorial, relating to hunting grounds). So combine the rarity if the attacks in general and the fact this isn't a hunting ground. It would be super unlucky for the girl to have been attacked.

Wild animals are often stressed if humans get too close, and even more so if those humans move around and make loud noices. I get it you are interested in the animal and want to see it well, but the considerate thing to do is to move away and watch silently from a distance. That all said, this video is of a once in a lifetime encounter, and yes, I'm jealous!

It's forelimbs are so long, it almost starts to resemble a sea lion. Except it still worms along on its belly when on land, instead of propping itself up on them to walk.

I’ve hunted and fished my whole life. They are exceptionally fast for short distances but if you want to underestimate a wild animal be my guest.

@@dudedog7914 the seal dragged the women down and drowned her, idk why that isn't dangerous to you. Also there's plenty of cases of where leopard seals attack people or attempt to, it's just that only one has ended in death.
