***** About Living Traditions Homestead *****
Living Traditions Homestead is all about living a simple and sustainable way of life. We believe the world has gotten too “busy” and that people are missing out on many of the true blessings this world has to offer. We started as a small urban homestead in Gilbert, AZ and after the city grew up around us, decided it was time leave corporate America and take a big leap of faith by moving our family to the Missouri Ozarks.
We put out 2 new videos every week! Wednesday and Saturday. We hope you will become part of our homestead family by subscribing to our channel and watching as we give up the rat race and live simpler, more fulfilling life in the country.

Have you heard of drinking posts? You can replace your hydrants with them and the water comes from below the freeze line, so you do not need any heaters and water is always available, no matter what outdoor temps may be. You're already set up for them, so I thought I would mention it. Plus, you don't have tanks getting gross. There is always fresh 50 degree water available no matter whether freezing or with sweltering heat. No tank cleaning/maintaining, no heaters.

You two have become my favorite homesteaders on TH-cam and really the only homestead channel I watch anymore, I used to watch several. Unfortunately everyone else stopped sharing their knowledge and started pushing products, books, podcasts or whatever else and it really got annoying. So thank you for being authentic and just sharing your knowledge with everyone trying to learn.

One of the great things about Missouri land is that it heals itself in a short time. Ruts, burned land etc are filled in, plush and green in no time. It’s amazing. We just sold our farm, use real estate agent Tammy Barrett in Mansfield, she is wonderful. We got the first of 12 offers in 47 minutes and we only showed our house for 4 days!

Someday we will know why certain things happen to others. .. when life seems to be spiraling out of control this past two years, we have to have faith. In 2019 we picked up the pace and made in official in Dec 2020. Yes, a great deal of work and preparation for not only us but the future owner of the home we’d built & lived in 29 years. It is a LOT of work getting ready to move. We are also in the process of getting our place ready so we can move too. We are in Washington state and planning on moving to Missouri sometime next spring/summer. Not sure where in Missouri we will end up yet, will be needing at least 20 acres, and will likely buy raw land so we can build everything up ourselves, but we know that God will show us where we are meant to be. Thank you for putting out your channel, we are loving watching and learning all we can before we move. Blessings

We are doing the same thing. We started with 1 acre with goats and laying chickens and we just bought 35 acres to expand and get broilers, turkeys, IPP's and become self sufficient. I enjoy following you and seeing your projects. Michigan is very different than where you are but you give me a lot of ideas.

I agree! My husband and I lived on his homestead and had a big garden. Sadly, we divorced and I left. I miss everything about the farm life. Now I am too old for that kind of work. I love your family and watching your videos gives me some peace in this messed up world. God bless you

I've watched your channel off and on for three years or so and have enjoyed your videos. Not sure where you get the energy, strength, and are able to find enough hours in the day to accomplish everything you two have, but it's inspiring for anyone who has a dream they'd liked to achieve. May God bless you with good health enough to continue your homestead/farming journey.

So exciting to hear about these plans! So is the new shop on the Farm? Are you going to be remodeling the house there?
Have you built your new greenhouses at the farm? Are you taking the first greenhouse with you or leaving it behind at the homestead? What about Kevins parents?

What a blessing to be able to move to a farm that is so close to where you spent so much of your life. You can keep your friends, your church, your community. We moved over 1900 miles to our "forever" home in our late 60.s. Now at 69 and 73 we are beginning to really feel "settled." So much new to contend with. Bless you both and Merry Christmas to you and your family.

You are both incredible with what you have achieved since buying the homestead. I don't always check in but usually when I do, there is something major happening or being announced. It helps with the continuity of what's happening. This is great news. You have worked so hard and deserve everything you've achieved and are planning for the future. All the best. I'll still be here as well.
