Have you ever thought about having an aloe plant on your window sill in the kitchen for unexpected kitchen burns....ouch! So nice to just take a little cutting from the plant and compost the scrap after for that nice healing gel miracle! 😊
A tip for keeping cleaned glass jars clean longer. Once they are clean and dried store them upside down on the shelf. Any dust will settle on the outside of the bottom and is easily wiped off if necessary. The inside is still pristnely clean. Works with glasses too.
I see I'm not the only one thinking how sweet of Becky to pre plan these video's for us. You are a sweetheart. Thanks Becky. I hope you and Josh are able to get some sleep and relax a bit with the little one. I can't wait to meet them.
People with parents who teach them these things are so lucky!! I’m 44 so it’s a little late for me but I so wish I grew up being taught all these amazing things. My house is small and I work full time so I just don’t see myself being able to do it, but I wish I could. It’s truly fascinating and impressive!!
Hi, I'm 44 as well and apart from a couple of recipes I didn't learn much about food from my Mum. She didn't particularly like cooking which was great when I was a teenager because I loved cooking and then I became terminally ill and cooking and baking was something I could focus on and cooking for my parents as I moved back home when it was medically dangerous to live alone. I can't eat a ,ot of food due to having only one metre of my intestine left after many surgeries over the years. I also have aspergers food traits and I don't like mixing ingredients but I've been trying new flavours over the past couple of years. Unfortunately both my parents ts passed away in the past three years and apart from everything else I miss cooking for them. I've found a lot if amazing recipes on TH-cam so I would recommend searching for a recipe and watching a few variations and make it how you like it. I've taught myself to make professional cake decorating from watching countless TH-cam videos. I'd like to grow fruit trees, vegetables, have chickens etc but my health has limited what I can do. I have faith that you will be able to do some of the things you would like to do. I hope that you have a lot of fun doing whatever you try. Xx
congrats on having your baby!! i just loved watching your videos and always thought wow she’s gonna be a great mom and now you are !! and super thankful for the pre records, this is the only channel i can watch 45-60 minute videos and be consistently tuned in the whole time
Okay. To begin with, congratulations on the birth of your baby boy. I hope that your recuperation is going well. Secondarily, I want to remark on Becky as the Queen of Multitasking. Unbelievable what you get done in a self directed session. And thirdly, I always appreciate it when you demonstrate your appreciation of your viewers by calling us “friend”. Bless, bless, bless! Have a wonderful Christmas with the new addition to your extended loving family. 🎄🎄💋
I just love watching you! It warms my heart to see someone your age canning and preserving. Congratulations again Josh & Becky on the new arrival of your baby boy! Hope you are healing well, and adjusting to your new routine.
I'm reading in the comments that you have had your baby! Congratulations! Sending lots of prayers and love to you, Josh and your new little one. Thanks for a great canning and cooking video.
We all have different ways of canning food. Becky and her mother are great cooks. Both have so much energy that they make me tired just watching them! I can all my meat raw and unsalted as well as the broth. No salt allows me to salt as needed per recipe. I also cook for my dog and no salt is a no-no for dogs. I have a 22-pound turkey that I am going to thaw, debone, and then raw pack the meat. No need for fluid, as the meat makes all the needed juices. I will freeze the bones until I decide to make poultry bone broth.
After getting all the bones out, you could toss them (and veggies, if you want) in a roasting pan and roast them nice and brown before cooking the broth. This will contribute to a deeper flavor and colour as well… 🤗💓💞💓💞💓💞💓
Fabulous video Becky! The pot pie with the flaky biscuits looks great. I have never seen anyone cook 4 chickens and 1 turkey and make the process look so easy. You are also very detail oriented which helps a great deal in the kitchen. Many people are nervous in the kitchen and anything you can do to take away those nerves is appreciated.
I had a bunch of buttermilk that I needed to use up a few days ago, and I thought I’m gonna pull a Becky and make a bunch of biscuits for the freezer! So thank you for that. 😂 Congratulations to both of you on the new arrival!!!
My husband got me the electric Presto canner for Christmas, and since I was canning up beef and chicken stock this weekend, he gave it to me early. Becky - that thing is a DREAM!! I'm so glad that I found your channel! Hope you are recovering well and enjoying this time with Baby Acre! ❤
Congratulations Becky and Josh! I hope you’re soaking up every moment with your baby boy. I can’t wait to hear your birth story when you’re healed. Enjoying this pre-prepared content that you created for us in the meantime 😊🫶🏼❤️
Just a gentle reminder for you, please try not to tink your hot jars together. If one exploded it would be tragic! I had a cool jar of canned grape juice slip in my hand as I was rinsing my the jars to clean them well before packing onto my canning shelves. The jar hit the edge of my sink and exploded! My ceiling, kitchen curtains, and everything else in the area, was coated in grape juice, including my face and clothes! I am so thankful the jar was not hot! As careful as we can be, accidents can still happen. Love your videos!
Thank you for this inspiration, Becky. I'm glad to know you and your family are doing well. I'm going in for surgery (nothing life threatening mind you) in 3 weeks and I'm totally canning a bunch of turkeys that are on sale. It'll help so much. Thank you for everything you do and I hope you rest well. :)
Becky, you are such a blessing to all your viewers. I am a 72 year young grandmother and you inspire me with every video. Snuggle with Baby Acre and Josh.
Becky, here's a tip for you. To keep your cilantro fresh for a long time, put it into an air tight container and put an egg in with your cilantro. It stays fresh for over thirty days. Good luck with your new beautiful son! 🥰
Congratulations on the birth of Baby Acre, Becky and Josh. Take the time to rest and heal; we'll be here when you are ready. God Bless. Love you all! xxoo
Just wanted to let you know that I used your video to make my first Turkey Bone Broth. I came out with WONDERFUL quarts of liquid heaven. Thank you so much for the video guidance. Two days later, after pressure canning the Broth, I used a couple of extra jars to make PC'ed pints with the last of my Turkey. Keep up the great series of your videos.
Having fun getting tips and ideas watching your channel. Tip from me: I have a Ball Electric Waterbath canner and it has been my go-to for broth making. The metal flat that sits on the top of jars to keep them from rattling around will sit lower and be a shelf for solids. I put all the bones etc on top of it, fill it with water, and let it maintain the temp. It has a spigot from which you can drain without the fat for most of the broth. Love it!
Refrigerate the entire stockpot after you strain. Then ALL the fat comes to top, so the slow going with the fat separator is eliminated. One fell swoop. Then you also have the option to freeze that fat like people freeze bacon fat to use in cooking, etc. for flavor etc. If you do that or like to cook with the rendered fat.😊
Fun to see the progression till “B” Day. I’m preparing to do a big canning session myself, good motivation…thank you! I see we have feedback from the new mommy❤ Hope you are recovering and enjoying your new family.
Canning chicken is a HUGE plus! Soooooo many options. You are doing an amazing job for someone who is about to give birth. Nesting. Can't wait to see you and Josh with the new baby. I was really blessed after Thanksgiving. 2 friends brought me their turkey carcasses and leftover turkey parts. SCORE! They know how much I love to can my own bone stock and broth. One even gave me a ham bone with LOTS of ham on it.
We're so happy for you and your family!!! So glad to heard baby acres is doing well. I hope you rest up and heal plenty!!! Thank you for the videos. Have some good family time
You are such an Amazing young lady!! Your parents must be so very proud of you. You thought of all of us. Congratulations on sweet baby. REST, RELAX and enjoy that Bundle of love!! Blessings
Hi Becky! I love your seasoned salt! It was a game changer for me it tasted so great it made me want to cook from scratch more often and make my own seasoning blends. It seems silly that something as simple as that made such a difference in my kitchen. Anyway, thank you!
We have a couple of places I can go to that are community surplus food sellers. I was able to get 100lbs of whole chicken for a steal! We parted out some of it, vacuum sealed and froze them. We also roasted up about 10 whole chickens, shredded and froze it as well. Having that precooked chicken is so handy! I love to combine it with fire roasted tomatoes, black beans and some seasonings for a quick and easy taco night. It’s also great to whip up a chicken chili on a cold night
I did it, Becky. I did my first canning project of broth. Chicken broth and bone broth. I'm about to do canned turkey and chicken after Christmas. You totally inspired me. My Grams and I are stocking our panties now. Much love, Little Momma. I hope you get well soon.
Hey! Hiya! I hope all three of you Acres are doing beautifully and are happy as larks to be together. Quick FYI...did you know that most veggie peelers work in both directions? I use it that way now, down and right back up, and it's weird feeling at first, but man, it actually cuts down time when you're peeling a lot!. Happy Baby, Happy Holidays, Happy life you three. xo from a granny
Becky, as always, love this video, so very informative and I always learn and am so inspired by your videos! So thoughtful of you to do prerecorded videos for us, your friends out here in TH-cam land! Congratulations 💕 to you and Josh!
Becky, You didn’t show removing the neck and giblets from the turkey. You might want to add a note next time so newbies know to check the cavities. It’s a common mistake for new cooks. Love all your videos. When do you decide to freeze veggie scraps vs. feed them to the chickens?
Looks delicious Becky. We did an early Christmas as my Daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren are taking an out of town trip for the holidays. One of the gifts I received was a very nice, new, knife set. I can not only dress for success now, but also have the tools to make the process safer, easier and much more efficient. Thank you for your tips, inspiration and enthusiasm. Praying that you are well on the road to recovery and that each day brings you this moment of the now to embrace with wonder and gratitude. God bless.
Holy cow! Lololol…I did this the week of T’giving cuz turkeys were cheap and I had no freezer space. Roasted one a day and canned it up. ~whew~ Hope you’re doing good. 😊

A tip for keeping cleaned glass jars clean longer. Once they are clean and dried store them upside down on the shelf. Any dust will settle on the outside of the bottom and is easily wiped off if necessary. The inside is still pristnely clean. Works with glasses too.
Thanks for all the pre-recorded vicious before baby. Congrats to you and Josh on the birth of your baby boy. I know your gonna be a great mamma.
I see I'm not the only one thinking how sweet of Becky to pre plan these video's for us. You are a sweetheart. Thanks Becky. I hope you and Josh are able to get some sleep and relax a bit with the little one. I can't wait to meet them.
400K subscribers! Congratulations!
People with parents who teach them these things are so lucky!! I’m 44 so it’s a little late for me but I so wish I grew up being taught all these amazing things. My house is small and I work full time so I just don’t see myself being able to do it, but I wish I could. It’s truly fascinating and impressive!!
The only time it's to late is when you are gone.
It's not too late. Even a little bit is progress. You can do this.
Man… love how prepared you were Becky. You’re amazing. I hope you’re enjoying time with Josh and Baby Acre.
I just love watching you! It warms my heart to see someone your age canning and preserving. Congratulations again Josh & Becky on the new arrival of your baby boy! Hope you are healing well, and adjusting to your new routine.
Congratulations on the birth of your baby boy. My day is not complete unless I watch 3 or 4 of your videos!
Congratulations Becky. I pray for your health and safety. Be blessed.
400k Subs, congrats! 🎉🎉
Congratulations on your new addition. Rest up and enjoy the bonding time, so precious.
After getting all the bones out, you could toss them (and veggies, if you want) in a roasting pan and roast them nice and brown before cooking the broth. This will contribute to a deeper flavor and colour as well… 🤗💓💞💓💞💓💞💓
So cute that Becky's baby belly sets an oven alarm off when she leans over the stove! 😍
Congratulations to both of you on the new arrival!!!
It is amazing how accomplished I feel sitting here with my feet up relaxing and watching you work...lol
I love watching you cook and make separate meals. One question, Do reuse your rings when you Canne your foods?
I tell you, it’s almost impossible to start my day without these videos - so incredibly thoughtful that she pre recorded a bunch! ❤
You're the best Becky and congratulations to you and Josh on your new bundle of joy ❤️. Welcome to the world baby Acre.
Love it!
We definitely appreciate the effort and thought you put in to think about us. I am praying for your full recovery while you and Josh are enjoying Baby
Your energy is amazing! Congradulations on the birth of Baby Acre. You two will be awesome parents ❤.
Ooh awesome!!!
We're so happy for you and your family!!! So glad to heard baby acres is doing well. I hope you rest up and heal plenty!!! Thank you for the videos. Have some good family time
Becky, you are amazing! I've found you to be such an inspiration since I found your channel during 2020. Blessings on your new bundle of joy!
Amazing how much broth and food that made. This is one of the best channels. She's such a natural in the kitchen and so fun!
Your so so amazing becky! I love your Channel, and you’ve taught me to step out of my comfort zone in my culinary skills! Keep up the great work!
You are such an Amazing young lady!! Your parents must be so very proud of you. You thought of all of us.
Congratulations on sweet baby. REST, RELAX and enjoy that Bundle of love!! Blessings
I hope your feeling better. Take care. Congratulations on the baby boy. That's a beautiful Christmas present.
Once again, you are truly amazing Beckie. Praying you are recovering quickly and safely. Merry Christmas Beckie.
Great video, Becky. Congratulations to you, Josh, and your families on your beautiful son. God gifted you with the greatest gift of all!
Agree! Swore the neck was sticking out of that turkey when it was being seasoned too.
It was, but while transporting it from the roaster, she dropped it on the floor.
I had no idea what that was the first time I made a turkey. I thought it was stuffing. 😂
I KNEW you would hit 400K before the end of the year! Congratulations on Baby Acre AND your amazing growing channel. You ARE "The Darling of TH-cam"!!! 🥖🌶🍲🍅🥰
I want to Congratulate Josh and Becky for the new addition to the family, I am looking forward to seeing baby Acre in upcoming videos and you both get plenty of baby hugs and kisses, such a precious time for both of you.
Congrats on your beautiful baby boy 💙 It’s incredible thinking you did all of this work right before his birth. Hope you can get all the rest to fully recover. Thanks so much for recording all these video’s for us. Much appreciated ❤️
Becky is amazing. Unreal the energy she has.
You have come such a long way from your early videos and I feel privileged to see you morph into the confident person you've become. Blessings to you and Josh and the baby.
I am sure that you are enjoying all the hard work that you put into preparing meals before baby acre was born. Great job!
Glad I came across this. Pulled a turkey and some home raised chickens out of our freezer to can and make room in my freezer for meals before baby #9. Was wondering how to cook it all at once along with broth. Good demonstration, thank you.
