Parked my Discovery up roadside and was annoyed to find someone had caught the wing mirror. Glass not damaged but hanging off. After lots of cursing, and a cup of tea , came to this video . Watched it and within three minutes the mirror is as good as new. A big thank you from me. Happy face. Time for more cups of tea. Yupeeeee phil
Thank you, will be using this to get to the spring that allows the housing to be folded in - I guess this spring comes off it's post, then the housing becomes floppy. Thanks again!
Very helpful, many thanks. Just one point - it was hard to see exactly what was going on due to the black parts. Might have been better to use a black background rather than white as I guess the auto exposure was underexposing for the dark areas.

Thanks man, great video. Was unsure how to get the base from the motor without breaking it :)
Thanks so much for this video. This worked like a charm.
Glad it helped!

Thanks, I hope I don't need to do it myself anytime soon.
It's actually MUCH easier to fit the adaptor clip to the car first and clip the mirror to that. This is the whole point of the adaptor.
I didn’t find that to be the case, but maybe I did it wrong
Good
1st guy to comment :)
That's not a 200tdi mirror. Looks like maybe 300 or TD5
I only mention it as the 200tdi ones are a ball ache
