How do you use that MMB to pan? It seems that there are a lot of comments here about it and you just ignored it. Maybe you can show us how you use it because I cant find a single tutorial on how to use it to pan. Thanks!
I've been using the g600 for 5 years now and the 24 hotkeys per software has really improved me workflow, but this 'drag style' shortcuts is really cool!
I ordered one, then returned it, the middle wheel is too hard to push, definitely not for CAD. And the biggest feature of it, infinite wheel is just useless to any 3d modelling activity.
How does the middle mouse button feel to click? When you click the wheel, is it hard to press or very light and easy? I work with 3ds max all day and I cannot use any mouse that has a hard click on the wheel.
Have you tried one of those mouse with 16 programmable keys on the left side? I would think those would be even more helpful considering how many hotkeys we often need
I recieved this mouse today and guys at first glance it is awesome, I recommend buying it. The only thing I miss about my old mouse that compared to this one the middle button click for pan in 3ds max is a little stiff, hopefully that will losen up a bit overtime.
thanks for the advice they are helpful for sure yes i like reviews on preferable devices for work they give nice ideas to help in workflow and they are fun
Another great mouse should be the CADmouse pro by 3Dconnexion. Has three buttons instead of two, to pan and rotate viewports without stress too much your forearm and a dedicated button to open a custom dial with per-app functions.
Great tips as usual Ava. Thank you. I would love to see your approach on other hardware and how you specifically deal with other 3D artists in the office. I’m still flying solo but will need to grow eventually by hiring. Do you use a server that contains all your assets and work off that machine. Or have several machines and combine the render nodes? My knowledge is limited in this area. Your opinion is much appreciated. Thanks Dave :)
Excellent review. I'm still using very basic Logi mouse - but now I'll try MX3... Normally I use Wacom tablet, but never learn how that can be use with Max.
I use a Wacom Intuos pro medium tablet in max. I find it better than a mouse while working for a longtime, hand sits relaxed and maybe I got to much used to it but i'm overall doing stuff faster with a tablet than a mouse.
Good review. Anyone used it for 3D CAD software Vectorworks? Can the buttons be customised to VW? Trying to decide where to get the Logitech Master 3S or the 3D Connexion cad mouse. Any thoughts appreciated.
I tried to use the Master MX 3 but the scroll wheel is horrible. It even scrolls when you just lift the mouse up and down. So it's pretty much impossible middle-mouse-click without it scrolling as well. So after rotating in my 3D program it pretty much zooms as well.
@@ArchVizArtist Yeah. Found out about the button next to the wheel. Strangely enough the support chat wasn't able to tell me about that. Now I like it much better.
This is pretty great to see at how much versatility there is and how it assists with the workflow, Would you mind reviewing an option with say a stylus and tablet from Wacom. ?
I couldn't use this mouse, because I am so used to using the click on the scroll wheel, to Pan in 3d max. And if I remember correctly, the scroll wheel on this mouse "CLICK' to toggle the free spinning. Is one thing that kept me away from this mouse...I know some people hold "shift" to Pan, but it is very difficult for me to "unlearn' a decade old habit..
hi i have been watching lots of artist saying digital graphic tablet is good to use but i see no use of one as i have to scroll rotate alot while in 3ds max modelling and i see no point where i can get comfortable with the pen tablet than mouse , mouse feel more comfortable for me , if any1 know how to use pen tablet with max modelling / visualization pls share ur exp
@0:22s It's MX THREE, not MX FREE ! (though I wish it was :) PS I have one and yes, it does feel and behave very well. And I also tried the MX2 and the MX 3 is much better ergonomically for sure.
I bought Mx Anywhere 2s, and got shocked that scroll wheel can't work as middle mouse button and now this mouse is useless for me. Can you confirm me that MX Master 3 has middle mouse button in scroll wheel? I am a heavy CAD and 3ds max user and I can't live my life without middle mouse button on scroll wheel.
Hello I follow your tutorial, you are very good mentor. I need CORONA render setup tutorial, How I can quick noise free render from Corona render? please help me. Thanks.
@@ArchVizArtist mainly because when i using CAD i move the mouse alot. I find 125g is a little bit heavy, i prefer mouse weight around 100g when using cad. Second, i favor the palm grip so i find 48mm is too high, my wrist would kill me after a day with a mouse that high. 38-44mm is the right height for me.
You never gave a reason why the Mx master 2 is not as good as the 3. I have the 2nd gen it has exactly the same functionality and it costs less. Yes, there are some design improvements on the 3rd gen but it doesn't justify why everyone should pay 100$ for a mouse. Otherwise great video and really nice suggestions on the shortcuts!!
Not in the wheel. Ive another mouse, the MX anywhere 2, with the same button configuration and is absolutely painful to work in 3D with. Nonsense when you are talking about productivity.
Do you want me to review more devices?
your hardware config please
Ur monitors
Can u tell us the model only thanks i. Advance
Yes, we need more device review to improve our workflow.
yeah

I've bought one of those and indeed it's a great mouse for 3d modeling. I've had several Logitech mouses and MX 3 is the one I like the most.
Good to know ;)
This is the only video I found that actually fits what I was looking for
Yes, review more hardware/accessories that you think might come in handy for 3D Artists.

Glad it was helpful!
Hows the click compared to the original mx master? I have the mxmaster and the click pressure does really annoy me as it produces finger fatigue.
Great video!
Thanks!
Please review the sitting chair for long hours also monitor stands, usb hubs etc.... Thanks for the mouse video..
Hello , could you tell me about how to prepare a good portfolio for an Archviz Artist ?
I'll create a video about that. Now, I can tell you the most important thing, be creative and do something different than everybody else :)
Please review more devices for us! I really enjoyed your video.

Hola, para Photoshop que usa este mouse o una tableta grafica? O utiliza las dos cosas?

Thanks for sharing, I've used tablet only in Photoshop, never in 3d software. I will have to try it ;)
Wow, I'd like to see a demo of that !
what do you think of the Razer Pro Click?
i've heard a lot of issues with the mouse scroll lagging
We don't have any problems with this mouse so far 😊
I also get some lag. But it is due to the computer and not the mouse
Its cool . Please let us know about your tools used for 3D visualization .
Very nice video. What about Twin motion?
Pen tablet or mouse wich one is good for 3D modeling.

Is the middle button on mouse working fine?(Click on the wheel), I have mx 2s and doesn't work like click on the wheel
It's working in both mouses (mx 2 and 3) for me. Maybe you have it disabled in software. In mx 3 wheel is much better.
Hi Ava! Nice review for interesting mouse. I've got Pantech mouse.
What do you use for sculpting?
I haven't done sculpting in long time, I used wacom for that before ;)

I might try a tablet. Good idea :)
I hope they are special versions for left handed users
Not sure, you have to check ;)

What about 3d Mouse... do you guys use it?? since I use it my work was speed up since I got better 3d navigation in viewport
Great for sculpting!
why should not buy the grey or white mouse?
They look stupid and all of the filthy dirt from your hands will show up. It will look dirty all the time.
Do you ever tried 3D connexion mouse with 3d max ?
ok Sold!
"Logitech MX Keys" nice to see it

I'll check it out, haven't seen it yet.

You can use it in both version, you can program it however you want.
You can not orbit? I have had similar problems. It's a mouse driver problem. Programming the button does not help.
its good but I would suggest you try the hero 502. I use both and I find the hero much better
