@@pant-hootingchimp8917 unfortunately it can't be remastered into HD as it was shot on standard video not on film, as there was no HD back in the early 90s, so upscaling it a bit is the best it can look.
@@PaulA-sy1xl But that's the same with the majority of their videos that were filmed on standard video - they've still upscaled all those up to 1080p HD. Their few videos that were filmed on actual film were remastered in 4K but the majority of the others were filmed on video yet still all upscaled up to 1080p ,like I said, so Wild Horses can be too. It hasn't been upscaled at all.
@@pant-hootingchimp8917 I'm not sure what the story is with the wild Horses video, I worked in the movie biz and with U2 a couple times during their Zootv period as I was also part of the "Even better than the Real Thing" music video that we shot in London and the Zootv outside broadcast over in Dublin. So our video like most of the others was shot on industry standard 90's video but upscaling is a tricky subject when your're up scaling from an original source material which in this case is video as it's a long, long way from HD and you can see from looking closely at the new versions of the "Even better" and now "Numb" videos the overall picture is still slightly soft as unfortunately you can't put in fine detail that never there to start with, even today with best computers and software it still isn't proper HD and can never be because it wasn't originally shot that way, yes it's a vast improvement on how the videos all originally looked but you get to a point with upscaling you find you can go no further and tend to end up below 1080p, either way it definitely looks great and at least now The Doppelgangers are easier to spot in the "Even Better" video now
I remember the shock when U2 released this song. Like Achtung Baby wasn't enough after their R&R era of R&H and Joshua. People were hit by a surprise. Good times. And the video, a masterpiece (and a hidden element for all foot fetishist).
In our day and age of music a song like this is considered status quo but back in 1993 a lot of people didn't know what to make of Edge's spoken word poetry and sampling in a U2 song. It's how great bands create the new sound and don't just follow what others are doing.
Numb by U2 is musically exploratory and touches on a very relateable emotion, the 90s style electro rock music and haunting vocals go together in a very majestic way .

So I went to just about record store in the city until I finally realized the song is "Numb", from the Zooropa album. What a trip it was to discover U2 in my mid thirties!
I appreciate the intent of this song. In fact, I listen to it every time I have to go one of my in-law's gatherings.
I wanna wish Happy 64th Birthday 🎂 to U2’s Bass Guitar Adam Clayton!!!!

I remember when it came out I was in high school and my friends started to hate U2 because it was too far from "Sunday Bloody Sunday" standard or other hits. The more my friends hated this the more I loved U2. So provocative and out of this world. That album was way ahead of its time and Radiohead could surely say thank you for this and the path it opened.
I feel this album made it ok for radiohead to release kid A
yes, i lived the same experience. i loved this album even more than achtung baby.....
Lol, I can relate, and even worse when Pop came out. For me though, U2 can't get it wrong. Never. Ever. Every single album is perfect.
@Gordon Cameron stripped away guitars, danceable grooves, electronic beats and effects. Both albums were the most complete departure from their normal stuff. Made it acceptible for conventional rock groups to experiment with electronic music.
The success of Joshua Tree gave them the freedom to just create art. Encompassing, immersive art. ❤️🧠🔥
Three decades ago the music world became Numb with this song and video. U2 was back then, still is, and will always be a Hall Of Fame band.
Hi I recommend a song that's called 'The Bond Villain ' By Robert Nix
One of my favorite videos back then. And memories of playing this song on a discman to college every morning 7 am for a month. LOVE.
*@Arpana Gvalani - I remember how excited everyone got when discman introduced its new 8 second anti-skip technology, and how everyone would shake them to see if they would skip!* 🤣😂😅
Yoooooo lol me too
@SpclOps20 man that's nothing but you right😂😂😂😂😂😂 I did it purposely. And if it skipped after 4 seconds I would get passed and return it😂😂😂😂but remember when the 30 second came out then minutes😂😂😂
With today's events unfurling at mind numbing pace, this song just fits so perfectly in my brain right now.
I've always kinda liked this song...
I never realized it's so much connected to depression and the feeling that goes with it preventing you tclimb out of the dull feelings 😮
I have 16 foot size, onllee rgisterd as 13 here
Obras maestras.
The first time I recognized U2 when I saw this video and became a fan. Since then I bought all available music and joined every tour. Popmart back in 1997 was the first concert. Too sad I missed ZooTV. Achtung Baby is my all time favorite.
I agree- I saw their 2nd to last concert on the Achtung Baby world tour. In my opinion, they hit their peak then. Amazing concert.
Espetacular!!
The hold this song has on me .
The lyrics of this song has it all....selfie...being high....numbness....etc
Hi I recommend a song called 'The Bond Villain' By Robert Nix
This song popped into my head out of nowhere. Right after I put it on my phone I realized I had never seen the video. Holy hell. It’s really good! This album is great and I still think I have the cd somewhere. Music from 30 yrs ago truly stands the test of time.
I told you Selfies were invented in the 90s @4:00
You sound just like me!

I remember when this album came out, I was disappointed in it. And here I am listening to this beauty and loving it.
Everyone's eyes are so lovely and clear in high def! 🤩
U2 has evolved their sound without losing their greatness.
Ahead of times song & Music. U2 can try & risk it. Great Number.
And Wild Horses Remastered in HD?
But, finally Zooropa videos!
Can’t wait for Lemon and Stay…
its in the Achtung Baby Playist but somehow it was never announced
@@krypto_9872 Yes, but sadly not remastered in HD. I don't understand why they've left it out and not remastered it.
So our video like most of the others was shot on industry standard 90's video but upscaling is a tricky subject when your're up scaling from an original source material which in this case is video as it's a long, long way from HD and you can see from looking closely at the new versions of the "Even better" and now "Numb" videos the overall picture is still slightly soft as unfortunately you can't put in fine detail that never there to start with, even today with best computers and software it still isn't proper HD and can never be because it wasn't originally shot that way, yes it's a vast improvement on how the videos all originally looked but you get to a point with upscaling you find you can go no further and tend to end up below 1080p, either way it definitely looks great and at least now The Doppelgangers are easier to spot in the "Even Better" video now
Takes me back to Happy days driving around listening to this in the car on cassette!!
Iam sure this was out on video as well ???
I remember the shock when U2 released this song. Like Achtung Baby wasn't enough after their R&R era of R&H and Joshua. People were hit by a surprise. Good times. And the video, a masterpiece (and a hidden element for all foot fetishist).
I was 10 when this video came out, but I seriously do believe that subconsciously this video is what sparked my foot fetish as a teenager. 😂
Also i like this One especially for the foot video 😍🫣😋
Zooropa may be from the 90s but it is absolutely timeless. The songs are not subject to any ageing process. Time is truly on their side.
In our day and age of music a song like this is considered status quo but back in 1993 a lot of people didn't know what to make of Edge's spoken word poetry and sampling in a U2 song. It's how great bands create the new sound and don't just follow what others are doing.
4:00 that's how 90's girls looked like. God, how I miss them..
they were doing selfies then too
I miss my 90's look too 😢
Particularly because 4:06 is how a lot of "girls" look now.
I thought that was Chesney Hawkes
The funniest U2 video! And his wife appearing at the end. So young we were! Even the manager appears!
At the time of the video, I don't think she was his wife yet. He was still married to Aislinn O'Sullivan at the time.
Future wife. EDGE fell in love with this dancer during mysterious ways clip
Numb by U2 is musically exploratory and touches on a very relateable emotion, the 90s style electro rock music and haunting vocals go together in a very majestic way .
1993 was 30 years ago! Wow! Time flies.
Hi I recommend a song that's called 'The Bond Villain ' By Robert Nix
First time I saw that was the early 90s and loved it. Laughed my head off at the feet scene as did my wife. Wanted to see it again but no TH-cam or much internet in those days in most homes.
Still very cool video after all these years
Esta canción estaba fuera de época creo que si la hubieran sacado hoy en día tendría más exito
Sin duda
Wow , what a great track. What a great video. I remember when it first came out how polarising it was. Edge on lead vocals and Bono on backing vocals put a lot of people off at the time. But it holds up sooo well. I absolutely love it. So many layers, it just works. Thank you U2
I wish Edge got to be lead singer a little more often just for the sake of variety. He has a really good voice.
@@nostromo7928 agree , Van Diemen’s Land off Rattle and Hum deserves more respect too. It should get the crowd noise and the blooper interview taken out of the track.
I remember I absolutely loved this song back then. I'm not a "repeat" kind of guy, but this one I did put on repeat. And my friends, including the U2 fans, were like "Dude, you alright?" LOL
@@danebraimage That was part of the film soundtrack. I saw U2 for the first time on the 1987 Joshua Tree tour, November 14. An all day affair with the Pretenders and the BoDeans as opening acts. A stellar night I'll never forget!
Edge was actually rapping here xD
FINALLY!!! This is in my favorite top 10 U2 songs and one of my favorite videos!!!! It's been missing for TOO long!!!!🇮🇪💚🤍🧡🇮🇪♥️
These were the good times, when modern innovation still revealed its genius to us hand in hand with real music.
I remember when this came on MTV and VIVA.What a times to grow up in!
Zooropa has always been my favourite U2 album since it was released.
The Zooropa album and Achtung Baby album were the soundtracks of my High School years, class of 94 baby!
I miss how cool was U2. Achtung baby and Zooropa the best and cool era.
They stay cool at pop álbum too.. but them start to go away
One of my favorite music videos from all times.
The Diversity of U2.. The Edge Blows U away
This song has aged much better than I expected.
The Edge just edging 🔥🔥🔥
Zooropa was my very first CD brand new out of the store shelf purchased with my own money when i was a kid back in the 90's and i still have it. It felt like going to a Porsche dealership and buy a new 911...
Zooropa Ah Man so good!
Remember being a kid watching the video visiting my grandma in Florida, was so amazed by it.
I remember when this premiered on MTV.

Amazing at the time; yet even more prescient today: water torture, Zooropa bar code hat, pushed, pulled, excess, bound, the selfies. Brilliant!
I've been to countless concerts by countless artists: nothing topped Zooropa 93. I actually wore the tourshirt yesterday
The Edge such a great sport in this mv.
