3 months ago I went to the salon, I had the exact same hair, roots and banding. The hairdresser told me there is no way to fix my hair and that all she can do for me is dye my hair brown lol... Went back home, did a bleach bath and bleached my roots and voila perfect hair. I guess some hair dressers are too damn lazy, it was very interesting watching you though!!
It might have been that it was out of her skill set and she didn't want to promote more damage. It was a blessing because if she was not comfortable, it could have turned out bad.
I think some just don't know how to do it. I had the same stylist for over 10 years. I then moved to another country, and now I cannot find anyone who can make my hair the same silver color that my previous person did. I honestly think the current person just does not know!
Her DIY job looked really good. With good toning and styling, I bet it still looks really good when she would do it at home. This pro job, with two stylists working on her hair, obviously turned out way better than anyone can do on themselves. It came out super nice.
Omg as a hairstylist myself, this is really beautifully done. I’m having to do a color correction kind of, I think? On a friends hair. She has black and red box color in her hair. And has never had her hair bleached. This gave me some ideas.
lovee the result and this isn't hate I'm just so curious how she didn't get a lot of breakage when it's being kinda messily applied and overlapped like 6:06
Just wanted to say I love the energy between you 2 beautiful ladies, as well as the info you share freely! Wanted to write this because I am currently trying to be strawberry blonde 🍓 and all I'm finding is cool, ash, icy blondes. Ugh. So I saw Lisa's beautiful warm blonde and had to comment!!!
Hey y’all! Great job 👏🏼.. 30 years of hair here and I know this takes tons of technique! I personally never wanna spend that much time with my family much less a client. Lol. Just kidding. I love them all! Peace from Nashville.
I like the shorter hair but these extensions and blending are PERFECTION! I wish I was local to have y'all do my hair (that's if you all work with type 4 hair)!
My hair is super damaged from going black back to my natural color dirty blonde but there is still orange banding right below my roots. I’m worried about lightening it again because my hair has been lightened many times in the past and I’ve used a couple color removers on it. It’s definitely very fragile and dead. so I’m not sure if I should attempt to fix it or just not risk the extra damage. I figured if I did fix it I would bleach with a 10 volume and put on those darker parts and maybe a 5 volume for the rest . Or just attempt a quick bleach bath focusing on the dark spots ? The rest of the hair is already pretty blonde tho so idk if I should bleach over it again, but the banding is orange it definitely needs to be lightened again to match the rest
how much did this end up costing? I'm interested in something very similar, although I know everyones hair journey is different I'm just curious what this service cost her!!

I guess you did a good job, that colour does not look nice on her though. She has got too dark a complexion (olive) for platinum hair. Also, in my opinion, she looked much better before the extensions, which just gave her the appearance of a cheap tacky Barbie...
So you can bleach wet hair? I’m stuck at 9.75 only at the top of my hair oh no 😮 just did my roots I have to use gentle Bleach because I overlap doing it myself… is it worth bleaching again or should I tone it at 9.7 ? Rest of hair is 10 pleaee help
Wish I could find a stylist this dedicated to my hair. Maybe I wouldn’t have had banding also green pulling it was a mess!!! I’m going to try even eventually but I’m on 2 years of going back dark and letting it grow
Awesome job! Looks amazing!! I just got my hair done. Lightened my highlights and coloured the hair in between foils level 4 ash to add more depth (had too many highlights done) and to match my natural root colour. The dark colour ended up bleeding onto my highlights when the hairdresser rinsed and washed my hair 😥 it ended up darkening the highlights a little bit and i waited so long to achieve my level 9. The hairdresser said that it would fade with time and that my highlights would lighten after a few weeks of washing my hair. Is this true? And if not, how difficult will it be to lighten these highlights at my next service when i do my root highlights? And will i havr an issue with brassiness when i try lightening them next hair session? I like cooler tones.
I have similar hair to hers, except my banding starts at the top, where my stylist took me from a creamy blonde and let it over process to become pretty much white blonde, and now that one band of white blonde grabs all of the toner, every single time and I just need a clear filler to put throughout my hair. It doesn’t seem like anyone uses things like this anymore. I don’t understand why I’m having so much trouble finding it. I have been in the hair business. My mom was before me, my aunt my grandma the problem is none of them have been in practice recently nor did they work on platinum all over style blinds ,and now there are all these products that have bond builders built in. I just want a clear filler to equal out my porosity. Any product you could recommend? just an overall root to tip clear filler. Also, I’m in California. What city do you guys work in, I would love to potentially be a client
The color is absolutely amazing, wow! The only thing I don’t like are the extensions. They’re too long for the rest of her hair, and it looks really obvious it’s not her own hair. She should have them cut to maybe 3-4 inches longer than her own hair, to make it look more natural. Otherwise it’s stunning. You guys did a flawless job on the color.
At the 30‘ mark couldn’t you just run lightener thru her existing bands and ends? I feel the platinum card was not the technique to go as it’s meant for a high level of lift. Also when cutting prior to extensions I wouldn’t necessarily create an established base line as this has to be blended out with the extensions afterwards. Just layer/trim everything on an angle usually does it for me
I’ve been trying to find an answer to a question I have but can’t find it anywhere.. I used a blondespray/lightning spray in June this year and for my birthday in November I would like to bleach my hair, I’ve heard that bleaching/ colouring after lightning spray is not good and will make your hair break off.. then I heard if you put something like apple cider vinegar in your hair the spray stops working? I used it in June and then I used hair masks after that and haven’t done anything to my hair after the spray
I can answer. Those sprays can have a chemical reaction. Using vinigar isnt really going to help. I would reccomend doing a test strand and seeing a professional. Be honest Nd tell the stylist what you used.
Hair color itself is great but it doesn't suit her skin tone. Not everyone can pull off white platinum but I understand that this is what the client wanted.
I don't understand why someone does this to his hair when she is so dark. I think a darker root would look better on her and she would nt have the stress to come every 6 weeks for a touch up. But great work.
Good grief!!! Hair color is SOOOOOO complicated! No wonder I’m TERRIFIED to do it! I’ll just stick to basic…Do you have basic coloring education suggestions???? That result was beautiful ‼️
I'm offering a hands on highlight workshop. All the deets are on my site. But if you are looking for foundational classes, going to branded color classes at your local distributor really helps. mirellamanelli.com/hair-education/
8:30 am Hello, I bleach my hair on the top and black underneath , my question is I devided the front from the black ponytailed the front ponytailed the back. I accidentally dyed the back first and the top second. After I dyed the bottom I was so distracted that as soon as I done the bottom about 5 mins later I got under the faucet and washed my hair but the black stayed good but then some of my blonde somehow seeped through a lil and started turning like a gray . I then washed my blonde separate it did really good besides the bleeding with the few noticeable pieces that got black on them so now my other question is when can I wash them together like my whole head.
A really good tip would be whenever you have a bleached area close by to a Dark type of color , get yourself a really thick conditioning mask , load it into the bleached hair- literally to protect it from the dye getting onto and/ or grabbing. I would use a clarifying shampoo and only wet, and lather the blonde when you do end up shampooing it next time , leave it In for like 10 minutes. Next put a good creamy type moisturizing shampoo on the dark area, shampoo quick- make sure your rinse water is super cool- so you can close the cuticle and thereby prevent the transfer again. Good luck 👍😀

How long did you let the bleach sit in your hair?
It’s not just being lazy, blonding- especially to platinum blonde is a skill that few hair dressers possess.
Exactly why I choose to learn how to do my own hair.

This was a $2000 hair service including hair extensions. I charge $150 an hour. Without hair extensions, its around $1000

I so wish I could locate sum lady as fabulous as you two are at what you do . Stuck in c.b.iowa with same exact hair compromise.
That raw blonde is actually stunning on her 😍
At her move up will you take the extension out and apply her root then put them back in ? Or apply the lightener around the wefts?
You can do it both ways but because she has a hidden bead we will most likely remove and reinstall.
Absolutely gorgeous 😍
You guys did a really good job on her hair and she looks amazing and beautiful and I would love you can do my hair lol so awesome
Thank you so much!

Stunning.
The lightener is recommended for using it with 30 volume? Although every other powder is recommended for the maximum of 20 volume? How can that be? 😕😕
Amazing where are you guys located?

I wonder what this service would cost without the extensions.

What kind of hairdresser does that to her own hair? I am not a hairdresser and that crap never happens to me and her hair looks totally fried!

Yes they are! You can get 10% off with using code MIRELLA

Do u guys have a salon??
Yes! You can check out rebelfemme.com in Mission Viejo CA
You should double the wefts on her extensions so they aren't so thin - she has thick hair and the density needs to match
