Plessie's Plunging Falls just has to be one of my fav levels. The music/visuals/ and just plain fun value is all there. AND YOU GET TO RIDE ON A DINOSAUR
Strangely enough I don’t really greatly dislike any of these levels as all of them have good level ideas except some of the harder versions. Most of the level design is good but short.
Agreed! Like you and Copycat said, the ideas sound great on paper, but they aren’t executed well. I love this game seeing as it’s the sequel to my fav game, Super Mario 3-D Land!
@@youtubewontletmetypeagoodu8128 well actually the worst mario game is easy, its hotel mario or mario teaches typing but the worst mainline mario if you don't count smb2 the Japanese version then it's super difficult
I’m so glad you put Grumpblump Inferno at the worst level because it really is hell. No joke, I died 20 times on that level when I first played 3D World. I remember telling myself, “Never again.” When I first completed it.
Here's my top 10 favorite Super Mario 3D World stages: 10. Beep Block Skyway: There are Beep Blocks that alternate to the beat of the music, so you'll have to follow along with the rhythm. That's what I love about this stage. You also have to focus even more when you get your hands on the Double Cherry to keep all your clones alive. 9. Super Galaxy: As you said, this is reminiscant to the Mario Galaxy games. Mario Galaxy is my favorite game ever! I also love playing as Rosalina; she's hot. Unfortunately, there's nothing else to say... 8. Hands-On Hall: Instead of reusing "same-old, same-old" environments like the NSMB games, Nintendo went all out and based this stage off of traditional Japanese dojos, with sôchi doors, totani mats and gongs! Defeating a couple specific Goombas gives you the Goomba Mask, which disguises you as a Goomba, which is kinda pointless, but who cares; you're a Goomba! You also have a ball with enemies outside on the roof to wrap things up. 7. Puffrod Peaks: This stage has a mechanic which lets you use the touchscreen to activate platforms and blow into the microphone to make platforms float around, and it's actually not that bad! And... (sigh) I got nothing else... 6. Sprawling Savannah: What I love about this stage is this wide-open-world-like area. I feel like I'm on the plains or something! I don't know why I put this on my list instead of an honorable mention, but this is so breathtaking! 5. Searchlight Sneak: This stage is a castle without a boss. In it, there are searchlights everywhere, and if you get caught by one, freaking Bullet Bills will start firing at you! It's like being on a stealth mission, but if you want access to some places, you basically have to get detected by a searchlight. I also heard speedrunning this stage changes the mechanic, but for me, this stage is just fun to play. 4. Fuzzy Time Mine: I'm going for the original because I agree with you on that. You have to quickly go up a mineshaft to quickly escape. Why? Because of the horde of Fuzzies! Touch them once and POOF! Goodbye. Anyway, you have to walk along seesaws, clouds, Jump Panels, and avoid compacters that can crush you. The autoscrolling isn't really my cup of tea, but in my favorite stages that include it, it might as well be. 3. Mount Must Dash: This is inspiration to the Mario Kart games, with Dash Panels, colored walls, and even the remade retro music! I wish they made one based off of Rainbow Road. The only downside is how short it is. Imagine if you had to finish the stage from start up to the part where you would warp to the end part, then go back through it again until you do it three times just to get all the Green Stars and stamp. Each area where a Green Star is would come out every time you pass through. But still, it doesn't change the fact that I love this stage so much! 2. Trick Trap Tower: It seems cool climbing up those towers like if I were on a quest of some sort, but the real fun happens in the second tower of the stage. It's infested with Fizzlits, and you basically have to kill them to make your path clear when you go down. While climbing up, you have to collect the five Key Coins. Once you open the Warp Box by doing so, a poisonous mass starts chasing you down the tower and you have to quickly make your way back down! That's my favorite part of the stage! Honorable Mentions: -Super Block Land -Rainbow Run -Sunshine Seaside -The Great Goal Pole 1! The Great Tower of Bowser Land: The final boss stage happens to be my favorite stage in my opinion! I wish there were more build-up level, but it feels chaotic overall. When Bowser comes down, he attaches the Super Bell to himself, turning him into a kitty cat, or Meowser! I know it's just a platformer with an autoscroller, but I love platforming battles! Once you get to the top of the tower, you hit the POW block several times and defeat Meowser! In this game, Bowser finally had the brains to wisen up and use the power-ups to his advantage; it makes for such an incredibly epic final boss!
I think a good way to fix Grumblelump Inferno would be to make it so that one of the Skipsqueaks at the beginning would jump and then fall into the lava. This would show the player that jumping to keep up with the Grumblelump is a bad idea.
Nice video! Champion's Road is also my favorite. I'm a glutton for punishment or something. The Hands-On Hall levels would also have made my list. I feel your pain on Grumblump Inferno. I haven't gotten there yet in my playthrough of the Switch 3D World, but I remember losing over a hundred lives when I played it on the Wii U.
So far but how long will it last? Edit: Bowser’s Fury definitely is really fun but I like Odyssey a little bit more. I definitely like 3D World better than Odyssey tho
I know it's an unpopular opinion, but oh well. I know it's shorter, but it's everything I've wanted in a sandbox Mario game. I think it's also the fact that it is 3d world and Bowser's Fury in one that makes me love it. It's still not my fav switch game, nothing is topping Breath of the wild
I’m currently playing through 3D world for my fist time and just beat world 5. So far my favorite levels are Double Cherry Pass, Bowser’s Bullet Bill Brigade, Big Bounce Byway, and Sprawling Savannah. I really hated Chain Link Charge
I love Fuzzy Time Mine, how dare you put in on one of the worst, the fuzzies are my favorite mario enemies, they're just so cute, you make me wanna wash my eyes with bleach. 🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎
All levels in this game are special in their own way we get very memorable ones like Double Cherry Pass, Plunging Falls, Super Bell Hill, and we even get levels that are references to previous games like Super Block Land(3dLand) Mount Must Dash(Super Mario Kart) Super Galaxy(Super Mario Galaxy)and musics from super mario 64 like the slide theme
I think Beep block skyway should've been number 10 because the fact that the mechanic of this level is the music is so an original idea and makes fun gameplay dynamic the fact that you have to wait for the beat moment.
I haven't seen all these levels yet, as I just beat the game recently. I liked a lot of the levels, but I'd have to agree with the #1 worst. That level was rage-inducing and nearly made me game over >.
7:20 I remember the switchboard section being so unbelievably frustrating. In fact, it was so infuriating that I considered it to be the hardest level ever!
I actually hated star-2 gameplay wise trying to get all stars and stamps. The first star you see you have to hop on a brick that breaks instead of becoming solid and the enemies could break it which happened a lot. Then the stamp you could only get with a cat suit and the lvl never gives a single power up. The other two stars are ok but those first two collectibles left me in a sour mood and I was glad to get past it.
Okay hear me out. The best level in the switch version is puffprod peak AKA the one that used to use the touchscreen for the purple/pink platforms and blow into the gamepad to make the platforms move. Now EVERYONE can activate the platforms, so it is pure chaos in 3-4 player multiplayer. Ground pounding people on the platforms for the crown or just to make them fall off is hilarious
You should make a video like this on 3D Land. Some bad levels that come to mind are S1-4, S2-3, S2-4, S2-5, and S3-3 (I think? It’s the one with the obnoxious tight walk ropes everywhere with only 30 seconds). A good world that comes to mind is S2-castle (this was a nice break from three bad levels in a row)
What about that autoscrolling Ghost Level in World Bowser(? Idk I think it's bowser)? It's so long and the fact that the Dry Bones aren't effected by the light helmets is so annoying. Definitely my least favorite level.
I hate ghost levels in general, normally it's the freaking boos I hate, but when you have a powerup to take care of them, they're not so bad, so I'm in agreement with you there.
The worst levels are any level that plays like a 2d side scroller but forgets that the game is in 3d so you can easily fall to your death when you just want to jump on the platform but the depth perception screws you over, I really hate when that happens.
(Floating) Fuzzy Time Mine in my opinion isn't that bad. Idea is fun and Exacution is also fun. It is also forced to have auto scrolling too. But good list
Champion's Road is the hardest, but that isn't my worst only because i can beat it really easily with the right Power Ups. My most disliked Level is between Rammerhead Reef or Bowser's Bob-Omb Brigade: Generally because these 2 levels are quite hard, and they're really boring and annoying when you get hit by something you couldn't have seen coming.

Your #1 worst is one of the best. Of course you do not jump while you are on that, but rather run with the rotation. It isn't the level's fault that you didn't consider basic physics, or at least consider that as an obvious alternative when jumping didn't work. Usually you put out good material, but that selection was ENTIRELY personal bias, and not at all based on the actual quality of the level design.
Me too I remember I struggled alot in the jumping cannon balls section were you jump on the cannon ball and jump another cannon ball to go up. And also remember struggling after the underwater section I can't aim it properly to the block that took me a day to finally beating this level.
Number 7 on the worst side is not a bad level. Yes, it is short but if you watch ceave gaming's video about secrets in 3D world, you'll see that it is a decent level.
I like how the “Worst levels” in the games weren’t even that bad, it’s just that all the levels in the game were all so good.
