    Thumbs up for the yellow colour. It instantly places it along with the workhorses like CAT or JCB.

    Giles has some great products. I upgraded my Ender 5 Plus and 2 of my Ender 5 with the ExoSlide system. They made them the best they could be. The new extruder looks like another great solution for them. I gave all of my Creality printers away so I could have room for my Rat Rigs and Bambu printers.

    Great video Kris, you are amazingly thorough in your testing! A note on extruder motor amps, the reason for the 0.6 amps RMS or less is to keep the extruder motor under 50'C or so (if needed, the amps can be reduced to 0.5). If users have any questions, we try to answer all emails from the contact page of our website.

    I was able to get rid of the under extrusion in the start areas by switching to Prusa slicer. My Kobra Max and Ender 5 Plus suffered from the same issue until I changed slicers.

    I would still like to see a video on the Hero me Gen 7 being fitted to an Ender 5 Plus, I have a Gen 5 on my 2X Ender 3's and 2X Ender 5 plus machines, I was going to wait until the threads failed to upgrade to Gen 6 with the brass inserts but I had no need to undo the screws so those threads have not had the chance to fail.

    Nice. Love the attention to detail. Thew 5015 fan seems to come in a variety of voltages(12 and 24). Which voltage is appropriate for the Ender 5 Plus?

    So curious - I watched a video you did some time ago regarding dual extrusion. Are you aware of any way to do IDEX with exoslides? Seems like it may be a great combo, especially with the extruder you just presented.

    I have this extruder installed on my LK5 Pro. Neither Giles or I can figure out why it won't extrude. Tried switching drivers to no avail. I'm having trouble removing the motor so I can try running it alone to see if the motor is malfunctioning. Any tips or thoughts on these issues, especially when it comes to loosening the grub screw on the thumb wheel? It's at such an angle that i can't see the screw, just the recessed hole and I can't seem to get an allen key at the correct angle in order to torque on it.

    How fast does it print? And how well?

    • @kerseyfabs
      @kerseyfabs  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm printing at 80mm/s at the moment. I'm not a speed guy so I'm not sure where it would max out. If I get the urge one night, I'll try and max it out.

    Your “start-stop problems” are improper pressure advance setting. Ditch marlin and start your endeavor with Klipper.

      I was wondering about that... he didn't say anything about Linear Advance tuning. I know he's done it in the past, but it should be done for each material. Was it forgotten?
