- I HAVE ALWAYS WANTED TO BUILD SOME REALLY COOL TRUCKS. I BOUGHT THIS TRUCK WITH THAT EXACT PLAN. I WOULD LIKE TO MAKE THIS TRUCK NOT ONLY COOL BUT FUN TIONAL AS WELL. FOLLOW ALONG AS WE PULLED THIS TRUCK OUT OF THE 1985 AND INTO 2024! TO TOP IT ALL OFF, I AM GOING TO DO THIS ENTIRE BUILD WITH WHAT I HAVE ON HAND. THATS RIGHT, I AM SPENDING $0.00 ON THIS BUILD!
This channel keeps getting better and better . Love the little helpers giving u and the wife a hand on projects. JC UR Knowledge and teaching is amazing.
You are starting with a clean slate so we will just wait to see what the future brings. Glad to see you are getting some help have to be some good guys for sure. Stay safe and have a good day! Tom
I like your vision for the truck. I can't wait to see the outcome. Great job on the ideas and build process.
Start to finish it is a great opportunity for the guys helping out and people like me who would like to help but can’t, to learn as you go along.
I had fun being there it was a great experience even if it was for one day....😊
Enjoy every build you do, and you can do whatever you want to it. Have a great evening, JC and Mrs Smith
Great video J.C.Smith really looking forward to this build. It looks like it coming together in one place with help from people that want to learn how to do this from you. Thanks for sharing stay safe Mr & Mrs J.C.Smith.
Enjoyed the video as always. Glad to see where this is heading J.C! 😎👍
What a community where people give up there time to help awsome JC Keep up the great work
Love the idea. Making me think about land scape truck half inclosed half ramp so I could load mower in the open and other tools in the garage space like a box truck.the cab forward is great for neighborhood parking
Looks like a prime candidate for a drop axle from an old car hauler.
yes.....if a guy wanted to spend money. i am doing this build at ZERO money!
J.C. Your building exactly the truck I've been wanting to build . So far so good . Great videos .
Cool build up
See jc you are on point truck shop class jcs building
Just little rain drops of the build ideas 💡 Love it so far. 🎉
Hi JC thank you for sharing 🤗
The builds are getting better and better. I like this build better than the first one because this is a ground up build from scratch these are the builds I like the best. It’s like building a 1 of 1 build different than anything else again this is what I love to see taking what you have on your properties and building something new/different out of it nothing goes to waste utilizing everything that you have. I’m really excited about this build. Thank you JC For sharing this with everyone love what you do and everyone who participated in this project.
i am enjoying this build much more than most others. its great bringing in guys to be part of it as well.
@@j.c.smithprojects that’s true too
Hi J.C & Mrs Smith & it's is Randy and i like yours video is Cool & Thanks J.C & Mrs. Smith & Friends Randy
way cool jc
nice
great video love the knowledge you are passing on shows what kind of man you are
I want to come wrench!
Sounds cool JC! I'll be watching!
Going to be following this. I think the cab will sit down fine on that straight frame. May have to put the cab mounts low on the nose of the frame like rear pivot on dump truck
cut , grind, weld, repeat..
Excited to see what you come up with on this one.
I think Jacob (?) Is handling the engine for this.
You can add frame to the rear. Can even step it down to help with the wedge bed.
Super curious to see if you use like a 255-22.5 front, or a 19.5.
i plan to have a step up at the rear to accommodate the the larger tires
Your justification of the air brakes is solid. Going with a mid engine has many advantages. Will the cab still tilt?
yes. it will still tilt.im going to try and stuff as much of the "less than pleasing to the eye" things under it.
I think it would be kewl 6v71 and a 9 or 10 spd straight pipes
I was really hoping for a ramp truck build. I am getting back into sled pulling next year when we move back to Michigan from Idaho and want to build a ramp truck while we are out west here in the land of little to no rust.
there might be a twist to this.
The rain was really messing with your vibes there. Eh, but you got the job done, and the project is rolling. It's gonna be a great truck when it's done. I've always liked old trucks revamped to more modern standards - if not full modern. There's several peeps here in Europe that have taken 2000's era trucks and refit them inside shells of 1970~80's trucks. Some of the pull contest trucks are done that way and those are always cool.
I like this. Where you at guys that want to help and learn
Fantastic!
I’m thinking welding rig, flatbed, and a knuckle boom 😁
im not a welder! i have another idea i will share with you.
good stuff man
Jc I want to come. It’s a 20hr drive. If I can work it out can you deal with me a week?
j.c.smithprojects@gmail.com
How big of a pain is it getting the truck re-speced for more weight?
most people wont want it upgraded to a heavier gvwr. they would prefer it lower. it doesnt matter to me. either way is fine.
I’m one of those people I was just curious if you were hauling higher than the cab vin says it can even though the truck can more than handle it how the dot man would handle it
now things are happening !!!!
never fast enough
Please tell us why you are here? FOR THE BAKED GOODS!
