Kool video Russ. The Drone really captures the birds eye view and shows all the pretty colors,,just like a rainbow.:) . Hahahaha,,especially,,when your dressed for winter in shorts. XD Are you sure your not from the North/central states? We BBQ the same way. Lol
Very cool video, as a commercial pilot I really appreciate videos like this. There is an old army bomber field nearby in Blythe. This sign was for the women who were learning to fly to become WASP's. Quartzsite airport was a place for them to do that before they moved onto more advanced training in Sweetwater, TX. There's two parts to this sign. One is to show the direction North ( for use in map reading). The other tells the pilots that Quartzsite is in a SSW direction 11 miles from that point. Any altitude above 3000 feet AGL the sign became a blur to the pilots.
I think Arizona generates $million annually in tourism especially from RVers. There are may potential ways to increase visitors if the major arterial roads (determines by average annual daily traffics counts) are paved. Paving roads reduces dusts, damage to tires and suspensions and reduce traveling times and fuel consumptions, etc.
Russ you have some intestinal fortitude to wear shorts while you wear earmuffs and gloves driving around Quartzite BLM sites. As you said, the buggy is not heated. I must say that I wander how you keep the camera steady while driving in the trails that clearly seem very rough. All in all the country side of Quartzite does offer some interesting areal views. Please keep them coming.
After I watched the first time I am watching again. So much to see that I missed the first time. What is the temp that early in the morning? A weather report would be interesting for us that live in the cold country.
They make pants. Also you can buy 2x large coveralls that fit over everything. Seriously the neighbor has cover like they put on golf carts. They make little propane heaters for golf carts. Riding around in Side by Side no doors in shorts air temperature in 20's.

Great BBQ brisket sandwich at Lyle’s booth. Didn’t need anymore rocks…. Stay at Roadrunner tonight. 1 day was enough of Quartzite for us. I enjoyed Borrego Springs more. Happy travels.

🙋♀️Hello Russ! Fascinated by the Cacti shapes riding through the dessert. So many picture perfect moments of beautiful blue skies mixed with various shades of dessert browns. Aerial view showed how clearly large those letters stood out for those pilots to see. Amazing. Looking forward to the Gem show. Hoping for a bigger turn out this year.

Hi Russ, do you see any rattle snakes out there in the desert at that time of year. We really enjoy off road atv videos, planning on coming down from Seattle area next year. We have 2 dogs, snakes are a concern.

I think you're missing why we come to Quartzsite
