Bob..my sister has been following you since the beginning here. She finally made it out to the RTR 24 this year. She was glad she finally made it out to watch your speech. She had plans of getting a van and traveling, but she passed away 2 weeks ago. So I bought one and we have plans on attending the RTR 2025. In her memory! Thank you Bob for all you do!
I just love Bob’s sincerity, authenticity and kindness. Thanks to you and all those who work and volunteer in these efforts. It’s a beautiful thing to see.
Been homeless. No excuse. Get a bike and a good attitude. If you go toward the Southwest the weather is better. Especially during the winter. Make a plan. You will triumph.

Thanks for everything thing you do to help the nomad community. You’re such a giving person. Too bad more people aren’t like you. The world would be a much better place.
I went last year, what a wonderful experience. I really appreciated the talk on Medicare vs. Medicare Advantage, it gave me information that I needed to make a change. Thanks Bob and HOWA.
I wish I would have heard that one, but family obligations prevented me from coming after many years of attendance. Was it recorded and shared I wonder.
Yes, I think I did make a mistake on the Advantage plan this year, but it will take me another year to get back OUT due to health. My plan includes 12 massages/yr. I sure needed THAT when I was a nomad! They don't talk to elderly people in the city.
I cannot even wait! I mean I likely have to until next year, but I would never have the courage to without your channel. You’ve literally saved my life. I thank you so much
I have been a van lifer going into my third year. Now, my goal is to attend your RTR, come rain or shine, and to meet the guru of van life, Mr. Bob Wells. See you at the RTR.
I WANT TO GO TO THIS SO BAD!!!!! I bought an RV a few yrs ago with dreams of packing up my 4 kids and hitting the road. My situation is a little unique because I live in a very remote part of the U.S. in Alaska I want to not only experience for myself how big the world is but also show my children. Neither myself nor my kids have ever set foot in a Home Depot, IKEA, Lowes, etc. because big box stores don't exist in my town, there may not be any of those stores in AK at all, but even if there are, I still live on an island. I'm 42 yrs old, and my kids are the 4th generation in our family to be born in the town we currently live in, Ketchikan Alaska. Located at the bottom of Alaska, it's nicknamed the First City because it's literally the 1st city one comes to when visiting Alaska by boat or plane. I've always wanted to get off The Rock (another town nickname because we have hardly any topsoil) but living on an island makes things difficult. I have to make flight or ferry arrangements, and those tickets alone cost a pretty penny, then have to think about food & lodging. Since I've been a widowed mom of 4 for the past 9 yrs, saving up extra for travel just never seemed possible. Until I discovered Bob & his story; he started out in AK too, albeit way farther North than where I am, but he found a way and he made me believe I can too!
I'm a widow who just drove my RV with my little dog from Florida to Alaska this summer. I stayed for 123 days and never wanted to leave. But I wasn't on an island. And I did see the ferry prices. Very high. Keep your dream though. It might take the kids getting out of school in order for you to be able to hit the road in your RV, but keep your dream. Going to Alaska made me a better, stronger person. Hats off to you. Stay warm.
Every year I want to go, but I never wanted to burn up all my vacation / PTO time for the year first thing in January! (I'm on the east coast, so 5000+ mile round trip.) But since I intend to 'retire' from my current occupation later in 2024, this trip will be a 'dry-run' for my impending retirement. I'm making a 4 week road trip of it and intend to see the Grand Canyon, Slab City, Death Valley, the Salton Sea and more while I'm out there! See y'all at the RTR! Safe Travels EveryOne!
@@leilareggie1826 That would seem like 'cheating'; to FLY in to a gathering of van dwellers / nomads?! (Of course if you're coming from Germany there's no other practical way tho . . . ) Those RV's are quite expensive to rent too . . . could be more cost effective to just stay in a 4-star hotel instead, although I guess that defeats the whole spirit of the event as well. Maybe rent a minivan . . . . ?
I so wish I had made it to an RTR before it became so big. I was there in 2018. There were at least a couple of thousand or more. I am still very glad I went!
Thanks Bob - this is a really great gathering for sure!! I (unfortunately? maybe not!) won’t be able to attend in 2024… I’m just about to quit my job here in Eugene, take a busy summer job down at the Grand Canyon, with a plan to be at our RTR in 2025. Quartzsite here I come!! First though, I must “stay with the program” and gather a few $$$ to buy my van. That will happen just before I depart for the Grand Canyon next summer. (I must confess that I additionally have a burning desire to see ALL the stars I can, in the dark desert skies, Milky Way my friend, destiny laid out before me.) So glad you are having a “prequel” for the women , before the main RTR... from January 11th - 13th. The women may perhaps need some additional assistance with their “life on the road”. (Although I have met several many mighty capable female van-dwellers who are way smarter than me.) Ladies I salute you!! Friends - please look for me in 2025; I will bigtime enjoy meeting all & everyone. May Good Fortune bless you all!!
Thanks for everything you do Bob. I'm heading out there for the first time, and am looking forward to the experience 💯%. Learning, growing, and connecting with others a long the way. Been following you for many years. Looking forward to shaking your hand and thanking you in person. You are an amazing human. ✌🍀
I’d love to get there this year! Just got my express van two days ago. It will be my second build, and very simple so MAYBE I can make it… I really hope so 😁 regardless I hope everyone going has a blast!
Every time I listen to you speak Bob, I think, what a kind, compassionate man you are. I believe you to be as true as your words & I wish I could meet you and come to your RTR. But I live far far away & will probably never have the means to travel to your beautiful country, but knowing you, through your videos, is a gift I will always cherish and be thankful for.
Bob, you're too funny..."If you are alive...I don't know if we really want any dead bodies" LOL! I went to the women's RTR one year and had so much fun. I made some great friends!
I've been following you for a number of years. I've kived in multiple RVs but wasn't mobile. Now, after making the decision a year ago to live and travel in my Buick Rendevous, I'm finally in Quartzsite. I'll be seeing you in a few days. Looking forward to meeting all who I am meant to. Thank you for creating such an open door welcoming event.

Attended my first RTR and WRTR last year and loved it. Unfortunately I can't make it this year but I plan to be there next year. It was well worth the trip.
Just really like your videos. If I could afford to go, I would. You all seem like pretty cool people. Pretty much the opposite of my current neighborhood which makes it sadder I won't be able to do it this time. Have fun and God bless all of you❤
I love Bob. He’s a wonderful man! I can’t make it there because of health problems but I feel better because I donated $20. Merry Christmas to everyone! I used to be tight with a buck, but no more. How can I join HOWA?
I’m new to this life… been on the road a little over 3 months, but I’ve watched your videos for much longer- I’ve been looking forward to this announcement for 2 months!! I can’t wait!😊
for the real newbies.... the vast majority of camp spots are dry camping and without toilets. You just bring your own water and 'facilities' and you will be fine.
I would love to go. Unfortunately my husband physically unable to travel. He needs me here. I travel through all of the youtubes I watch. Thank you for all of them.
