Phantasma is probably one of my favorite beam shotguns atm, its very powerfull and can apply a lot of status procs due to high status chance and a lot of multishot, also the "unlimited" punchthrough adds a lot of convenience! :D
This is how I play shotguns: Boar Prime + Multishot/Damage/Toxin Riven Throw all ya standard mods on there, primed whatevers, and a fire rate mod, maybe that amalgam nonsense Wisp = Max strength + duration + Energized Munitions + Arcane Tempo + Arcane Acceleration Experience the void 👁👄👁
Hek already goes up to 40 pelletts/shot with regular mods. Add a multishot riven to that and you can run 90% elemental mods and primed charged shell while still stacking status effects like it's nobody's business. Good times.

IMO best shotgun is Sobek, I run a viral and heat build, with acid shells, and the syndicate augment, it fucks over groups of enemies
