    Do you prefer your turkey stuffed or unstuffed?

    That pork is a great idea. I thought about wrapping some chicken thighs with salted pork before putting them in the smoker. Always great ideas coming from this channel. Thanks for sharing!

      That's a good idea with the chicken thighs! I don't feel like salt pork has much distinctive flavor so there wouldn't be any to get in the way of the smoke flavor plus it would help keep the chicken moist.

    Gonna try spatchcocking the turkey and smoking it this year. You should come ear with us this year!!!

      What time are you guys eating dinner this year? I love spatchcocking chickens. It's way easier to cook them evenly that way!

    Happy Thanksgiving!!!
    This sounds delish!! I've been making turkey for Thanksgiving for over 45 years, and I've done all the things, (except deep fat frying). This sounds so yummy, I'm sharing with my daughter who is making the turkey this year! If she decides to go with this recipe, I'll let you know the results!

      Happy Thanksgiving!! I've only cooked about 5 turkeys in my life. I always go to my mom's for Thanksgiving. I've never deep fat fried one either but I would love to try it out one day. Yes please let me know the results if your daughter tries this out! I would love to hear about it!

    You're supposed to toast torn up white bread crumbs as the base. Why did she even get off the couch if she didn't have sage.

    • @TastesSoMuch
      @TastesSoMuch  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's an odd recipe as it called for soft bread cubes. Normally I would toast them. I thought I could get away with not adding extra sage since it was already in the poultry seasoning. I would try the extra sage next time to see how much of a difference in flavor it provides. Thanks for watching and commenting! 😀

    • @Willard-tn8bh
      @Willard-tn8bh ปีที่แล้ว

      You don't have to toast the bread crumbs, just let them dry out fro a day. Absorbs the turkey juices just fine.

    • @lailaandthemoon
      @lailaandthemoon หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@TastesSoMuch I usually let my turkey sit in a lemon and vinegar and salt brine just for the flavor not so much about the salmonella but it also helps me feel like my turkey got clean from the lemon but I agree salmonella does spread everywhere if you get messy when washing meats only use one tray to avoid spreading it to all your trays/ plates 🤍

    Soft bread cubes? First time I ever saw that, most are dried or toasted. Some butter? how much? Sage or poultry seasoning? How much? Was this meant to be funny?
