I once drilled into a sewer pipe in a concrete wall by accident. That really sucked but was 20 yrs ago. Next up my question is will this detect roof truss studs in a asphalt shingle roof? I need to do a solar panel install and dont like the idea of drilling random holes searching for the roof truss, then having to patch the holes. If it would work for detecting roof truss through roofing there could be a big market for this in Solar system installation.
Wood detection is limited to around 38mm - 80mm max depth depending on surface material... Tile/concrete is more 'solid' compared to dry wall so leans towards more the 80mm max. - Chris
Max depth depends on the specific material composition we would expect fermacell to behave similar to normal dry wall. Woodend studs detection depth is around 38mm. - Chris
It will not be very accurate on small diameter rebar but it could give you a rough idea. You likely need to use signal view to get the best picture of diameter. The bigger rebar the more accurate. There will be an update next year for the Dtect 200C ( free of charge ) that might improve this type of measurement. - Chris

Can it detect the plumbing lines of the bathrooms?
Please tell me, will Bosch release an angle drill?
Very good presentation! 👌👍
Looks like a must-buy! 😅
Thanks for the video. Can it detect rafters under a roof covering? Eg concrete tile or slate?

How will it work on detecting wood studs behind fermacell?

Thank you for the presentation. Can it also detect the rebar sizes?

I need it, how much
Very Detail explanation. Well done Chris. Let's Go Bosch!🔥🦾
Can it fund studs behind a brick wall with an air gab behind the brick?
