For those that may not know, the host (Guy Kawasaki) was Apple’s Chief Evangelist previously and was an Apple Fellow…so not a fan of Microsoft and a bit biased as a host, but a great thought leader, author, and marketer nonetheless.
@@jesperhammarlund300 Hindsight is funny isn’t it? On phones no at this point it’s a non issue Bluetooth audio quality is good enough and most of the big headphone manufacturers make Bluetooth headphones. It isn’t new for Apple to be the one that kills off ports and standards in the industry. That has been going on since the Jobs era. Apple has always been the company that isn’t scared to experiment with their hardware and software compatibility be damned.
I remember watching this event when it came out. I have to say that DVDs were still big part of society in 2008, and would be for another 5 years. But to claim that Apple was some sort of amazing trend setter is painting somewhat dishonest picture here. Microsoft and Sony had gone over to HD and Blu-ray a few years earlier. Apple had made a bet with their iTunes/Apple TV online movie purchase instead, and since then I have only bought ONE movie from that store and I was disappointed with the experience. Many people still play their DVD movies in 2023.
Ballmer is right, DVD are future!
lol. I’m sure Balmer is a smart guy but boy he sure has made some statements over the years that have completely bombed.
Steve Ballmer is such a funny person. Keep em going!

You do get this video is from the past right ?
@@ERiC-1 Every video is from the past bro.
Well in 2008 I NEEDED DVD player in my laptop.
Back then they used be used a lot more. Matter fo fact, a part of me still wishes my new HP had one.

Apple also predicted computers becoming the thing of the past.
Ballmer reminds me of the office,...in a bad way
95% of college students use macs...............
Steve Ballmer is soooo cringe, I’d rather be poor and have a tiny bit of class and character

You typed this in 2023?
People buying DVDs is like saying people still buy LPs.
2.09% usage is not worth mentioning dude.
@@shahn78As streaming services continue to silo content, introduce ads, raise prices, etc., people who care will migrate back to physical media.
Lol😂😂😂😂 DVD’s are you from the past?????😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Where’s the face palm emoji when I need it.
@@the_shah_of_iran I just walked around the supermarket store last week and saw several DVD movies lined up. 2023.
why tf the host gotta laugh all the time, so rude
Cos ballmer's a clown who says the silliest stuff
Steve Ballmer literally tried the grab the host. who's rude in this situation - him or the host?
Because Ballmer sucked at being a leader!
