Yeah I keep throwing belts too. I looked the set up over real good and figured the tension spring probably needs beefed up. This video confirms my suspicions as this is what I reasearched to see if I was on the right track. I have a bunch of springs from different projects over the years so I should have something that’ll work.
I have the same exact mower. I’ve had nothing but problems with throwing belts on this machine. I bought it brand new from Lowe’s three years ago and had this problem ever since I’ve owned it. I’ve tried everything. This is the first video that actually makes sense. I will be trying this and let you know if it works. Could you please tell me what kind of spring that is and possibly where you ordered it and bought it?
Good to know mate - I'm so sick in tired of my belt throwing and snapping I live out in sticks ,it sets me back weeks waiting for dealer to get belts in
1 is crazy low bro , hope that bad boy is running the Kawi engine 😂 mine is always throwing belts driving me nuts , Difrent deck tho ,42inch Fab ,,spring is in middle behind , I've always been suspected the spring tho , will see if I can get one 👍

Hey I have this same mower I have question does your mower have a belt guide around the front pulley or clutch pulley?

That was my problem. That and the rod that stabilizes the deck.

I ended up getting a smaller pully for the 3rd pully and a couple washers under it that and a spring fixed my issue in the yth 24k54

Good fix but you could have avoided that by not cutting in 1, 2and 3. I never cut below 5. Grass growers better and looks better not scalped
