I've just started watching Sean's videos and this a rare sort of bloke these days. Gentle, kind, has an allotment and cats, has crap furniture he finds in the street and charity shops. This is kind of bloke you want as a mate and someone living next door. This is someone who probably makes friends easily with lots of different people and has a lot of acquaintances. I wish you the very best in your new life and look forward to your videos to come.
Ive just found sean too,im really enjoying the channel.Such a kind, gentle man.I just watched the episode when rusty passed...broke my heart to see how upset sean was.......My best friend in Holland has just started watching too,she loves it!!!
Omg, I just loved the filming of Cardiff Castle, etc, with The Welsh National Anthem music playing, "The land of our Father." I've just loved this vlog and I've found it so emotional. What a humble person you are Sean. Home is where the heart is, and mine is certainly in Wales. A year has almost past with you home in Wales. X
Watching this at the time you are coming up to a year in your welsh cottage. How time flies, thoroughly enjoyed watching your journey and catching up on the London vlogs and allotment vids.
On Christmas day my granddaughter asked me what my plans for 2024 were, she was told it was the year I put myself first. You put yourself first Sean and keep the faith. When I emigrated 35 years ago (12,000 miles) some thought it was a mad idea but sometimes you have to put your head round the cornor to see what's there, I can hardly believe the years have passed by so quickly, I've been very happy and made real friends. We're all with you Sean, take care Jenny
Oh gosh Sean that was heartfelt. It's hard saying goodbye & moving on, but as one door closes another opens. All the best for your move, I'm looking forward to seeing how things go for you & hopefully you will settle in quickly ❤
The best life is: living near a wood in a quiet little village with fresh air and also having friends in London that you can visit from time to time. You made the best decision 😊
Hi Sean, end of this month it will be a year ago I sold up and left London after 30+ years and moved to South Yorkshire. It was hard at first but now I settled down and enjoying my new home. The people up here are much friendlier and more helpful. I am volunteering in a local public garden/park. I wish uou all the best and luck for your move.❤
Oh, I watched this and could have wept! How I miss darling London. I don't care what anyone says - its life and verve, diversity and buzz is so treasured. I feel buried alive here, but can't afford to go back now. I hope your experience is different and you love your new, slow lifestyle. All the best.
Goodness, your London-Eye reaction resonated with me! I moved to South Wales three years ago after coming to the same conclusion at 50 as you -- I couldn't afford a bearable life where I was. Leaving somewhere you have lived for decades always brings a little grieving. I hope you find the same relief and pleasure in a slower life as I have.
An emotional goodbye to old friends and places.😢 I wish you, Topsy and Amber every happiness in your new home! I can’t wait to see it, a whole house all to yourselves and the green hills and valleys outside - wonderful! xxx
2 points Sean for you. I’m an original Londoner and I would move back to Wales tomorrow! I lived in South Wales for 12 years - fantastic place with fresh air. The cupboard with the cats if you look inside it will say Utilityware. This was cheap furniture made post war and could be ‘collectable’ in the future. The cats know!
I just recently started following you and at this time in my life, your travels and slow way of living resonates greatly with me.. I am anxiously waiting to see your new life in Wales.. all the best Sean ❤
Aw, wishing you a wonderful future in your new house, and fantastic life back in Wales. Hope Amber and Topsy have taken to the journey okay, and are enjoying the scents, old and new.
Aww good luck Sean, you will be so busy you won't have time for sadness and what a fabulous adventure to start in the New Year with so many new things to do and discover. I moved away from London 3 years ago and discovered the residence group and you will probably have a sharing community where you can get your bed and chest of drawers for free. We are so happy and you will be too. Much love. xx
It's always sad to look back on life but you have a future to look forward to now you have made the decision. Looking forward to seeing your progress. Good luck Sean.
Lovely vlog. I can understand you getting emotional, 20 years in one place is a long time, but now you are starting something exciting an new. I am sure you will settle back in the valleys quickly, onwards and upwards.
I’ve been following you and watching your videos for years and years and I have a goal to start making comments on those who really inspire me I live in North Carolina and I love watching your videos happy new year. I was raised in the military my dad was in the Air Force we moved and traveled every 3 to 4 years so through this story touched my heart it brought back so many years of saying goodbye, but also such excitement for the next chapter. I look forward to following your journeys in your new location in Wales
Great heartfelt vlog Sean! I suspect the next few weeks/months may be an emotional roller coaster. Hold your course on the difficult days. IMHO you are ‘going’ to something (Wales) rather than ‘leaving’ something (London). You have achieved so much in 3 short months. Onwards and upwards!
Sean, you have been very brave making this move , I know it will be hard until you get the house fitted out with all things that make life comfortable but you are so resourcefull you will cope well. I hope the cats have settled in and now moved from the bathroom to be snuggled up with you. Good luck, let us all know how you are getting on with this new and exciting part of your life.
I agree Sean about a slower pace of life, l left Sydney in Australia for quiet Tasmania, I had nerves and a feeling of loneliness at first, now I’m in to my daily routine and don’t miss the city or chaos at all, feel more at ease and less anxious ❤
Welcome back to Wales Sean . Hope you and the cats are settling in your new home. You’ll soon find your way and make new friends you know what we’re like here . Can’t wait to see what comes next for you here in wales .
All the best Sean, i was born and bred in Catford and moved to Newcastle some 25 years ago. Best move i made to get out the rat race. All the best in Wales! I hope you find a new allotment and continue your content!
Wishing you all the very best. I’m sure your life will be filled with lots of new friends, new adventures and happiness. And you won’t lose old friends you can always visit them. All the best. 🎉
Oh Sean! Amber & Topsy nestled in your top dresser drawer is about the cutest thing I have ever seen! 💕 I have a soft spot for black cats and they are gorgeous! Are they siblings? What’s their gender? Seeing this has made my day! 🥰❤️ You are a wonderful cat daddy :)
Good luck in your new life in Wales, I have no doubt once you have settled you’ll soon make new friends , it’s going to be a happy healthier life for you and you’ve done it at the right time in your life, so onwards and upwards Sean x
Good luck James i have moved 5 times in my life once from another country which i thought i was going to spend the rest of my life but things change i am now in my happy place got my allotment and a big garden its been expensive but as i get older i find i do not need so many materiaistic things
It’s Monday 8th when I saw this film and wow so emotional. Hope all is well and the cats are settling in their new home. I’m sure give it a few weeks and they’ll love it in their new surroundings x bless you Sean xx
Being a fairly new subscriber Sean, i really felt for you, to leave somewhere, where you have made such good friends, found it quite tearful, but watching where you are now, seems like a good move, your two kittys looked very cosy in that drawer 😊
Aww that was lovely, good luck in your new home, when you decide the time is right to let the cats out rub a bit of butter on their paws before you open the door, they will lick the butter off and then wherever they go the will leave fresh scent so they can find their way back, it worked for mine, even though my heart was in my mouth waiting for them to come back x
Sean, I've recently came across your channel, so apologies as I'm watching your vlogs not in a chronological order. Just wanted to say it's very heartening to come across someone who loves cats gardening and a slower pace. I admire your strength and artistic ability to post authentic videos. I enjoy your vlogs very much. Sending you blessings from me, Monty, and Bertie 🐈🐈⬛🙂
Sean, another emotional goodbye to old friends and places, I lived in London for 2 years and I run away, life is too short and I am confident that you will settle into your new life in no time, all the best. Sam
I am so pleased you are having a new home. My staffy and i have recently moved into a retirement living bungalow. I am so excited and so very happy life is so great now. Good luck in your new home x
I have loved your reflective content over this winter/Christmas period. it has been really cathartic for me. Glad to see that you have made it this far. Any news on a little part time job up in Wales. I do think that would be good if possible (maybe not straight away), not just for the money but to create a new routine with new people.
I can’t wait to watch your next adventure in Wales. Have loved watching you make the decision and your thought processes 💕 I am also on the move with my four rescue cats, I will go and look for the diffuser you talked about 😊 I am on my way on the 16th January to a small country town in Western NSW, Australia.
I moved home two weeks before Christmas and the waiting the week before was the worst. Seems to drag then all of a sudden its happening and it a whirlwind of activity. Enjoy your new home. New year new start.
What a brilliant video! It tugged at the heart strings. Saying goodbye is the hardest but what is waiting in Wales is a new journey forward. Good luck Sean!🙏
Bittersweet memories. You are on the path to change your life for the better. Moving is hard; I was in the Air Force and moved 21 times in 25 years. I so look forward to your future videos about life in Wales.
Sean!! Moving is so funny. Because we always...ALWAYS...have more stuff than we thought. I could feel your emotion at the end, my friend. God speed. Take care. We'll see you next in Wales.
Goosebumps again Sean with the anthem I noticed the Cadiff eye was welcoming you after saying goodbye to the London one I am excited for your new adventure Blwyddyn Newydd dad Happy New year
How did your cats travel during the move? I have a sister in Melbourne Australia, roughly 10 hours straight drive not including breaks. She's a pet nanny. When we visit, little Sis tells us to bring Kitty-socks. He's a tuxedo. Adult son spent just over half a year harness, cage and car training him. Kitty-socks now loves the car and we stop every 90-ish minutes so he can hear a stretch and toilet stop.
Such nice friends… perhaps they can come Visit you one day. Im sure you’ll get back to London at Christmas or sometimes for a visit. I think this was a very good move. Im new, so still catching up.
Watch to see where you started from . A good change I hope . I live in Utah USA . Wales looks a bit like it but doesn't have the history you do .though they mined for silver . Look forward to your videos . Thankyou .
🍀✨ Good Luck Sean... You were on of the first TH-camrs I regularly watched along with, Rick Van and Titli's Busy Garden. Thanks for letting us into your world all these years. 🙏🏽 Very best of luck for your new life in Wales. 😊🥂
Thanks for taking me along on your visits/tours. I feel sad and elated as if I were going on that journey. You have inspired me more than ever to visit Great Britain. I'm a history buff... Safe travels and see you in Wales.

Sean, I would have put the table in the van upside down, makes it more stable and leaves more room for other stuff. I am so excited to see the move, probably not the only one.
Good luck, from Oklahoma! I’m excited to see how everything goes & I was happy to see the green gate packed in the van. I hope the cats settle in nicely. I really like those pheromone diffusers.
Watched the rest of your video and realized last text was too late. The changes are stressful even if desired and planned well, make sure to keep track of your BP for the next few weeks, and take lots of breaks physically and mentally. We are all excited to see your new life too!! Sending love and light!
All the best Sean. I think that you have done the right thing. Cant wait to see the new house!!! Hope you and Topsy and Amber are settling in. Much love
Happy New Year, Sean! What an adventurous start it is for you and the cats! Letting go is really hard to do, but in a way, you have been getting ready for change for two or three years. Perhaps all the shifting around the allotments and arranging and re-arranging of the plantings, were signals that your heart needed more or different and you just could not settle in and find comfort in the activities you have always enjoyed. Wishing you and yours all the very best in '24 as you find your way in this new life and place. .sending a big hug from the 🇨🇦prairies! ❤️🐾❤️🐾❤️

Hi my family and I come from the welse valleys. You are the lucky one made it back to the Valleys.
I felt very emotional at the end, it brought tears to my eyes. I've watched some of your Wales vlogs and it looks like you're settling in.
It was sad for me to see you meet up with your best friends to say good-bye. I hope you can keep in contact. Blessings.
Oh gosh Sean that was heartfelt. It's hard saying goodbye & moving on, but as one door closes another opens. All the best for your move, I'm looking forward to seeing how things go for you & hopefully you will settle in quickly ❤

Thanks for taking me along on your visits/tours. I feel sad and elated as if I were going on that journey. You have inspired me more than ever to visit Great Britain. I'm a history buff... Safe travels and see you in Wales.
Thank you Sean. Looking forward to an introduction to Wales. If you need some city life, you can always have a day trip to Cardiff. I love the Hay Festival and the town of Brecon. Lovely cafe in the Church there. I move to a small South Somerset town 6 years ago from Bath, it was the best thing I did, it's so friendly here and only half an hour to the seaside.
Just remember... if time is quickly comming to an end....it is also quickly comming to a beginning.
One door closes...and another one opens...with brand new possibilities....waiting for you to discover them. Dont fear the unknown, you have made it 100% this far...you only need to go through it one day at a time. You got this... give yourself 2 weeks to settle in, as long as you have food , water, shelter your cats and a cup of tea, you can create the rest.
I wish you all the fortune possible dear Sean. This vlog is absolutely amazing 🤝🏻
Sean, I would have put the table in the van upside down, makes it more stable and leaves more room for other stuff. I am so excited to see the move, probably not the only one.
That video is out Wednesday.
Hi Sean, no you don't want to scare the neighbours do you. 🤣. Happy New Year to you and hope your new life in Wales brings all that you wish for.
Sean, good luck with the move. I think your feelings to come home are best described as Hireath
Good luck & Wales is a great place, looking forward to seeing your videos. Happy 2024!
Happy Trails to You. Can't wait to see your new beginning. Nice to see Geoff and Gary.
The best of luck with your move to Wales.Looking forward to seeing your new adventures.
All the best Sean. I think that you have done the right thing. Cant wait to see the new house!!! Hope you and Topsy and Amber are settling in. Much love
Enjoy your new home and good luck. I'm sure you'll love it.
I love the Welsh national anthem - so much more uplifting than God Save the King.
