Sean you're only 50 you have plenty of life ahead of you. I think as humans we are always starting again. Hope you will be happy in Wales, the air quality will be great for your walks.
When you said you asked yourself “ if this is where I want to end my days” it resonated with me. I have known for some time I need to move, I’ll be leaving my sixties this year. There is not much time left in the hour glass. Better happy and relaxed than busy and stressed I say.
I have just only recently discovered your channel and saw this on the list...and figured (accurately) that this went back to your decision. I am 69 years old and have had to relocate several times in my life and 22 years ago made the decision to move back to where I grew up. I had left as a Navy wife and been away for almost 30 years, but a situation arose in my life that prompted me to make the same decision you made. I left a 'life' behind when I left Florida: friends, community activities, a very satisfying job. Even though I was returning to my 'hometown' I did so with the approach that it wouldn't be any different than any of my other relocations, except for the presence of family in the area. You made the right decision. I've found that the greatest regrets in my life are over the risks I didn't take.
19:18 - this says it all. You're back in Wales, not too far from where I live, and you're promoting the area. The work you're doing for the area is fantastic. Keep it up, Sean.
One of your last sentences is what matters. You’re 99% sure it’s right for you and that’s all that matters. No one else can live your life for you. Wishing you all the best in settling back in Wales and making new friends and a better life.
I am following your journey and completely get it, its all about quality of life. Next week i am moving in with my son, daughter in law anf grandson, we decided to give up our expensive small houses to move into a larger family home in a lovely village. We will all save money, i wont be lonely and can help with child care and they will experience a proper community. Go for it 😊
I know it can't be nice to have everyone speculating about your life choices. but in my view you seem the happiest you have been for a while with this decision. I think you should try and make it happen as soon as you reasonably can. I know it isn't easy with all the stresses of moving, but don't be scared take the plunge. Hope it all works out.
The biggest regrets are not trying, not making changes. Glad you have the courage and energy to take this leap! Sure it will work well and you will adapt. A cuppa at George’s isn’t enough to hold you in London! Best of luck. Enjoy your new life!
We moved from Essex to a quiet little town in Bedfordshire. We did this to be nearer family but it was a good decision, people are so much friendlier here. We volunteer and are part of the community, can’t imagine living elsewhere now. You have the right attitude and will soon settle down
I grew up in walthamstow london , I moved to the US , but when I visited the walthamstow area, i realized it has gotten very expensive, still a lovely area, but a bit more expensive. London, in general, has gotten very expensive.
Your future sounds like fun--I find these big decisions are less stressful if I think in terms of "five years" rather than "the rest of my life." I moved (alone) to a different country at the age of 70, so you have plenty of time left to try something new!
I'm a Canadian living in Canada and have favourite friends from and in the south of Wales. I enjoy the photos they add to their facebook profile. It is so beautiful! The latest is the reopening of one of the canals in Cardiff. It must have been exciting. I'm sure I will enjoy your TH-cam channel even more than I do now.
Go for it Sean. I related to everything you said.Lived in Ontario for 37 yrs. Never belonged. Moved back to my home in Newfoundland. Felt that pull you spoke about. Finally content at last. Follow your heart and you won't go wrong. Lovin the vids.
I returned to the Swansea area five years ago after over thirty years away. No regrets - it’s where I belong. No regrets either for leaving at the tender age of eighteen as my life experience has been rich. I have, after a bit of a wait even got a plot!
I am so happy you decided to come home, after the war we moved to Wiltshire so that my father could get out of the pits, but we never settled there. I remember my mother saying to me one day, if our next door neighbour died, we would not know until the hearse drew up outside the door, that’s no way to live, so here we are, back where we belong. Love extra extra Sean😊
I lived in Bedfordshire most of my life we decided to downsize and move to Cornwall never looked back. I now have a large garden and grow some veg wife has her flowers. Its so peaceful and small community. I am fortunate have small works pension and do a couple of days work. That does us plus have my little TH-cam channel about my life down here. I think you would be much happier living a simpler life back home in Wales. Its about expectations in life. The problem is often people want you to conform and live they way your supposed to. As I have got older I much more cynical and dont belive the main stream alot of the time. Be happy keep smiling !!
Couldn’t agree more with all you said in this one Sean. I was born almost on the runway of Heathrow airport ( that was the joke) back in the day as our house was so close. I moved to Buckinghamshire to get away from the noise and fast pace. Eventually work to me to Canada for over ten years. Then like you I felt the longing for home… I would say to my friends in Canada that my heart belongs to them but my blood belongs to England. Cheesy I know! 😊 but, Although not London I’m very happy in Lincolnshire. I started watching your channel as you where heading off to Cymru snd look forward to enjoying you new adventures. For personal growth and peace of mind I think you’ve done the right thing. I’m sending all the best wishes to you. 😊
I haven’t watched many of your videos other than this one but I’m very impressed with your openness and honesty. I can only wish you best of luck and every happiness. Be strong.
Love it that you are so respectful of other people’s privacy when you are filming ❤ & also seeing everyday life/architecture etc in the background as you walk along. Fabulous videos

I think we all eventually go back to our roots Sean,Ive lived in numerous places in uk and abroad but now happily back to my roots in the highlands of Scotland.
I just did the same thing and moved back to Sheffield after 2 Decades. Something was telling me I needed to be around my people and my only regret is that I didnt do this 5 years ago. I wish you all the best for the move.
Congratulations on choosing new adventures!! Moving is no fun, but looking forward to seeing you in Wales!! Fun fact: I was born in Cardiff! I am from the Netherlands and live in Nashville. Sending greetings and well-wishes! 💕🏴🇳🇱🇺🇸
Grateful that you are taking us along on this journey, having lived in the same place all my life I can only imagine the feeling of excitement you have
Your move seems like it's coming at the right time, Sean. As much as I loved living in other places, there's no place like home, among your own people.
Good for you! If you want another change, later, make a change again. Nothing is written in stone, for heaven’s sake! I know you decided on Wales, from subsequent videos. To be honest, most of my English friends left London during the pandemic. They are scattered all over the country, now. I’m looking forward to seeing all the meaningful contributions you will make. 💖
Found you in my recommendations and now I’ve subscribed 👍🏻 We moved from London to Glastonbury five years ago when I retired. We’ve never looked back, it’s great here and my advice would be LONDON’S A SH*T HOLE …. GET OUT ASAP. You’re absolutely correct in saying everything is cheaper and you can organise how you live to suit your pocket. We keep one room warm with open fires and take hot water bottles to bed. We’ve made friends and all the neighbours know each other. So much better 👍🏻
Too much to say for a simple TH-cam comment but seems to me Sean, having followed you for many a long year, your heart has always yearned for this move. So please by all means let your head work on the logistics of it all but you know it's gonna happen, and I wish you all the best.
I only discovered your TH-cam channel through Richard vobes and went straight to the Welsh films. I think moving back to wales is the best. I think it’s more of a spiritual place, London is not somewhere I’d want to live, I live in Essex so it’s commuter belt but don’t even want to go there

I wish you every success in Wales. You’ve lived there before it’s like you’re going back home tbh. However it’s a new chapter. Getting involved in the Welsh community will be exciting and rewarding I’m sure. You’ve taken your viewers on walks and markets around London. Truly looking forward to your exploration of Wales. All the best Sean
American's tend to be a bit opinionated (as are TH-cam commentors!) so I wouldn't give it much of a thought. Being military and from a military family we used to move every few years and while that gets old and one feels the need to put down roots, I don't think I have put down roots in the right place (since I got divorced here and now am on my own) so the pull to move has been increasing every year. I understand the feeling you have of being bored where you are and that need to go somewhere else. As you have been talking about going back to Wales, I've been getting the pull and feeling about moving back to Montana... Will be a while before I can do that but the pull is definitely there! Will be interesting to see wherever you go and Wales it is!
Well thought out plan Sean, and for all the right reasons! By way of serendipity I am in the process of considering downsizing and moving from Suffolk to the Isle of Wight. I’m off there next week for a few days ‘fact finding’ and having a good look round. I’ve spent holidays there but tend to have only gone to the ‘touristy’ spots, this time I’ll be looking around the more suburban areas, shops, doctors etc. and the plan is to look around in the Winter when the days are short, places are closed and it’s wet and cold, so if I still like it at this time of year then it’s the place for me. great to see you so positive, upbeat, and focused. All the best, R.
I once read that the way to choose your habitation is to ask Where do I want to live? and then Where do I want to die? If the two along, great. If not, it may be better to choose where you want to die.
Ignore the negative comments Sean, this is the most positive you have been in a long while. Wales is calling you. I don't think it will be long before you will be singing in the local male voice choir because everybody sings in Wales! Good luck and onwards and upwards!
I moved from Essex to Norfolk twelve years ago live in a village best thing we did you go for it I think you will benefit good luck for the future 😊 from Kay and Steve
Hi Sean , I apreciate your views on house move/relocation . The old saying is relevant today as it was yesterday and is relevant for the future . " Live within your means ". I am 73 and getting on for 74 . I am quite sure you will succeed as new opportunities arise . Your comment about life revolving around the allotment can be " monotonous" as I am finding myself as there is more to life and can be more stimulating with a new location etc etc . Good luck and look foward to your new " challenges "
Follow your own path. I totally understand your reasons for going back to Wales. Definitely lots of potential. I really enjoy your content as it is not only gardening which I am interested but lots of other things
Hey Sean, I like how you keep your doors open to keep your Spirit free to follow your inner guidance. There are no wrong decisions when you follow the pull :) I am absolutely disgusted no one stopped to help you !!!
Hi Sean, great video your looking and feeling very positive and I’ve watched your journey for sometime now. I think you’re doing the right thing as it seams the right time in your life to make a move for the better financial and for well being. It will be great seeing you getting acquainted with your new but familiar surroundings in wales. Moving is a big deal I did it at 63 and moved all the way up north to Cumbria and I love it. People are so nice and helpful you definitely see the difference between them and people in the south , Oxfordshire where I was living where no one really bother and I had very little in the way of friends. Now I have loads of good friends and neighbours that have been very helpful. This is a positive thing for you and you will do great and you will do well 👍😃
Good to hear you sounding so positive Sean. Sounds as if you are done with London. We look forward to following you wherever you go. More than 15 years left in you I hope. I'm 65 next year and am hoping for at least another 20 😁.
Not necessarily happy but content. You have a lot of good things. A nice home, finances, a safe place to vent and food in your stomach. You will gain more cumulatively as time goes on. Xxx
@@seanjamescameron yes, I realised that. I have looked at your journal and other videos this morning. Looks like you have the basics re Maslow under control. Looks good xxx
Hi Sean I’ve been following your journey for a few years now and I think you’re videos are really good down to earth not like so many videos where they come out with all theses fancy gadgets which is quite obvious they are being sponsored by these companies so I’m going to sign up to your patron site . I will be 70 next birthday and thank fully I’m fit and well and I can tell you that look back on life it never worth stressing yourself out and over think thing just in joy life bet of lock . Doug
Hey Sean - following all your videos and going back in time with your videos pre wales move. I’m just curious (as I too lived in london for 2 years from NZ), and found it expensive back then….how much less/more affordable would your rental in wales now be compared to what your rent was in London - is it a substantial difference? Cheers mate, Mike 😃
Always follow what is best for you. As far as weight, I think your size is fine and you are very handsome. But yes, starting routines to make you feel better are good and the move did work out best for you! I wish I weren’t in USA, I’d be a walking partner with you!!❤
Greetings, i have meant to send this message to you for awhile know so excuse my belated congratulations towards your new adventure. Huzzah! I have noticed you have had your home land on your mind for a few years , even if subconsciously your home has been calling you back. The universe works on its own timeline to get everything lined up but once the path is cleared it all works out . I too follow the old religion and feel we share in vibration of places, and the people that prevail there. We are at our best when we are truly intune to our enviorment and feel belonging is truly authentic. I believe it was John Muir who said, the mountains are calling and i must go.that is me as well. I am happy to see you are on an exciting new path. So many new creative opportunities lay just ahead. I also really have been enjoying your videos lately. I come home from work at the hospital and turn on your video and decompress by listening to your thoughts, plans and tidbits. Nothing stressful, pushy or trashy just pleasent conversation that a friend would have. your energy is vibrant, lighthearted and fun. I love to see your neighborhood and excursions. Thanks for all your videos and dedication to your work, sharing part of yourself. I will continue to be a dedicated viewer and looking forward your beautiful videos to come. And by the way if you fell over i would hop on a plane, cross the pond and help in anyway i could, just might take me a bit to get there😊 blessings on your new path
The traffic and noise in London would drive me mad ,, I’m not surprised your allotments are a place of sanctuary and those Welsh mountains are calling you back home ., best wishes, Lisa
I'm happy for you , Sean. I was a little concerned at first because to the observer, it seemed 😅sudden, but now it is clear from this video that this is the culmination of a thoughtful process. We are concerned because we care.... But this feels right .
4.25 am in South Wales. As a person who ended up in Wales 12 years ago simply by putting a ‘pin in a map’ electronically , I think you are 100% right to move back to your homeland. Even when you live alone, you are never on your own in
I've always felt that the move to Wales was truly in your heart. I think the "pull" you speak of is our deepest unconsciousness or higher self, some say, who gives guidance. We need only listen as you have. I think this is why you're so much happier and lighter these days.
You mean you're nearly 50 and you KNOW how to afford to live???😉 I was 57 when I moved to Tonypandy. Didn't know a soul, stayed for 6 years then moved back to Hereford as my daughter and her husband moved back and were going to start a family. Unfortunately, doesnt look like grandchildren are going to happen. I needed to 'heal' after the death of my husband, so, I went to the Rhondda, and now back home. Yes I met a little bit of anti English, but, I did have great neighbours!! Do what your heart is telling you.......karma!!!!
Best of luck Sean . Most of the world seems to be on social media now. If you have garden/ allotment in wales and the finances are easier you have the foundation to start exploring. I think you have a lot of wanderlust.
Go for it always follow your dreams even if they don't turn out right better than living a life of regrets of not doing this or that. I know what your saying about community i lived in an area of Belfast everyone new me and my family when i married and only moved a couple of miles outside Belfast i became the invisible man if i walked into a bar everyone was having fun chatting away but i stood alone its a funny feeling yes as you say i made new friends but they weren't the same type of friends i had in Belfast i think community's have to see you playing as a child and growing to maturity for you to become part of their community or as you say your always an outsider
There was a man knocked to the pavement in our town. He later died of his injuries. Someone was arrested. These things happen. Could happen anywhere. Right? What they did not tell you was why two other people were also arrested that night for theft. Can you guess? Guess the almost unthinkable? I hope you find the peace you deserve away from London.
Looking forward to seeing your move. There are so many things to see and do here in Wales, and the walks are fantastic. As I said before, you're going forwards not back. Yes, Wales has changed but it's still nice and cheaper than London. For example the choir costs as you stated in previous videos.
Sean who's life are you living? It's your life mate do what you want to do, what makes you happy. People will come and go on social media, be happy and enjoy your life. Live it to the best you can, I personally am looking forward to going forward with you behind the screen.
Hi Sean, like you I will be moving in the New Year from Martock in Somerset to Wisbech in Cambridgeshire. It a shame to leave my allotment but I will be able to have a garden where I will be moving to, so no excuse for me not to pop out to do a little bit of work. I’m really excited and it sounds like you are too, you look a lot happier now you’ve made the decision to move.
I think that you are making the right decision and can make it work. My husband and I made the big move fourteen years ago, to where I lived from 1952 to 1957. There are plusses and minuses to most decisions, but on the whole, it was the right thing to do. Although the property tax went from $100 a year to close to $2,000 a year, our other costs are more flexible. We can take public transportation and give up the vehicle, in good weather, we could probably walk to the grocery store. The climate is better for growing a greater variety of vegetables and fruits. Do I love this place as much as I loved the home that we built together and lived in for 30 years? No. But this place has a charm of its own, and it is much more sensible.
Fasting is a perfect way to loose weight. The myth about 3 meals a day started by food manufacturers. Out bodies where never designed for that. I would guess you diet is sugar and carb based. Key is no sugar low carb high protein. Plus walking as you are doing. I wish you well in Wales beautiful part of the world. Good luck my friend.
Oh gosh people's worries... no sense of adventure. I was born and bred in London and moved to Portugal not knowing a single soul and having never set foot in the country. Everyone was so busy in London working and just trying to survive and barely able to come up for air. Can't imagine how hard it is now with the cost of living rise.
That view on storing fat is not true because its the intake of more food than you are using ..as energy ...any excess turns to fat .so if you are active you need more than if you are a couch potato you don't..simple..carbs turn into sugar
Sean you're only 50 you have plenty of life ahead of you. I think as humans we are always starting again. Hope you will be happy in Wales, the air quality will be great for your walks.

I think you have to find your safe place. I am now in my happy place and will live here forever, nice home, nice life xxx

Agree with you how expensive London is. Go for the move & you'll prob never look back. Plus living alone, you'll get a Council Tax discount.
I lived in Essex for three years I was so home sick for Wales 🏴 I came home. There is a Welsh saying Hiraeth a spiritual longing for home 🏠.
I find your chats very real.thank you I'm a fan.still catching up,your a top man

Well done that lady sticking to her principles and avoiding Paypal
Best of luck ❤
Totally understand the pull homewards to the Gaelic fringes. Can't fight it, just follow it.
London is getting very expensive. I hope it goes well in Wales. Good luck.

Beautiful intro ..
Sean i wish you the best in your move and your life.
There'll be a welcome in the hillside when you come home again to Wales Sean to quote the song
All the best,
R.
The sooner you move the better , it’s a bit like being in limbo waiting for it to happen
Wishing you a great adventure back home in wales x
I once read that the way to choose your habitation is to ask Where do I want to live? and then Where do I want to die? If the two along, great. If not, it may be better to choose where you want to die.
Reckon it’ll be a whole new lease of life for you, Sean. I bet you’ll end up asking yourself why you didn’t do it sooner 😊👍
Ignore the negative comments Sean, this is the most positive you have been in a long while. Wales is calling you. I don't think it will be long before you will be singing in the local male voice choir because everybody sings in Wales! Good luck and onwards and upwards!
I think you’ll be very happy in wales Sean , wishing you all the luck in the world ❤
I moved from Essex to Norfolk twelve years ago live in a village best thing we did you go for it I think you will benefit good luck for the future 😊 from Kay and Steve
Lovely video hearing your thoughts and wanders. Enjoy your cuppa tea. ❤
Privacy is certainly something you can't put a price on. You've made the right decision.
Best wishes for moving back to Wales. Living in a big city doesn't calm the mind like living in the countryside close to nature.
There is no place like home 🏡 😍❤️🕊🍮
Don’t listen to the negative comments, I think it’s a great move. 😊
Not necessarily happy but content. You have a lot of good things. A nice home, finances, a safe place to vent and food in your stomach. You will gain more cumulatively as time goes on. Xxx
This was filmed in November last year before I moved.
Doug
Many thanks Douglas.
Half as cheap.
Always follow what is best for you. As far as weight, I think your size is fine and you are very handsome. But yes, starting routines to make you feel better are good and the move did work out best for you! I wish I weren’t in USA, I’d be a walking partner with you!!❤
go for it dont look back. old saying goes you dont ask you dont get xxx
It’ll be a great move for you Sean - you’ll likely get set up there and think why did you not do it sooner. Good luck!
@@janebaker966 🤣😊 apologies for my horrific spelling errors.
The traffic and noise in London would drive me mad ,, I’m not surprised your allotments are a place of sanctuary and those Welsh mountains are calling you back home .,
best wishes, Lisa
I'm happy for you , Sean. I was a little concerned at first because to the observer, it seemed 😅sudden, but now it is clear from this video that this is the culmination of a thoughtful process. We are concerned because we care.... But this feels right .
Same temperature in Denmark. I just went for a swim..best time of the day.
4.25 am in South Wales. As a person who ended up in Wales 12 years ago simply by putting a ‘pin in a map’ electronically , I think you are 100% right to move back to your homeland. Even when you live alone, you are never on your own in
You know you're in the UK when garbage becomes "rubbish". 😊
I've always felt that the move to Wales was truly in your heart. I think the "pull" you speak of is our deepest unconsciousness or higher self, some say, who gives guidance. We need only listen as you have. I think this is why you're so much happier and lighter these days.
You mean you're nearly 50 and you KNOW how to afford to live???😉
I was 57 when I moved to Tonypandy.
In Wales. It’s a completely different world.
Looking forward to seeing your move. There are so many things to see and do here in Wales, and the walks are fantastic. As I said before, you're going forwards not back. Yes, Wales has changed but it's still nice and cheaper than London. For example the choir costs as you stated in previous videos.
County
