It's so refreshing to see a review that is not all praise, but an honest review of the pros and cons of the rig, as you've always done. I'm super excited for this release and if it hadn't been for the portals, I would've probably already ordered one. I'm on the fence to see what you make of it from here and see how it progresses.
I had the same issue during the build. I had a 10mm pin left over from the transmission bag. I remembered I had two 8mm pins and two 10mm pins. So after finishing the transmission, I had to check the instructions about five time to make sure I didn't miss a 10mm pin. Joe Ropes rock.
i love the paint job. i just built a scx10.3 wrangler i painted it white. i think vanquish was directly gunning for the scx10.3 with this new truck. beautiful paint job im painting mine the same way when i get one next year. as im watching you crawl it looks like the twist is bout the same as the 10.3
Thanks man! The 10.3 is a great truck. Definitely targeting the 10.3 market with this release. You’ll like the Phoenix when you get it. 10.3 definitely flexes more.
For down low weight vanquish makes brass inner rings for those wheels and brass hubs as well... great video as always appreciate your honest reviews 👍🏾
I think this is a great trail truck. It has way cool features for crawling but it's not really what I would call a great crawler. Maybe take the guts and stick them in a lcg kit with a Power Wagon body.
Nice video, cool to hear your thoughts, I got mine a few days ago but still have to set up my workspace, we moved a few weeks ago and I didn't expect as fast delivery as I got so I thought I'd have time to get my tools in order. I can't wait to try it where I live, we don't have that velcro like rocks that you do but we still have some nice terrain that should challenge the truck and maybe even me as driver :)
I’m liking this rig for sure man. Unfortunately with everything going on I can’t buy any more rigs in fact I can’t even find time to wheel what I already have but thanks for the cool footage! 🇺🇸
Great to see the truck in action. Really been looking g hard at getting a vanquish. Do you think this o e is just as capable as the pro or should I just stay with my trx4 2021 bronco?
Logan, do you still have the Phoenix Portal? What are your thoughts on it? Trying to decide between the Phoenix or an Ecto. I just built a nice Gatekeeper so I’m leaning Phoenix, maybe even straight axle version. Curious if you still like yours.
Funny how many are torn on that choice. Both are really fun but I feel like it’s a much different question than this or that. Like, what size truck do I want haha
Love this new kit, but I just got the early bronco, so I’m gonna have to wait a while and this one. Love the paint scheme looks awesome specially with those bronze Rims, appreciate your sharing I’ll be following for more I love it specially this place you have to go crawling outstanding rock on
I've Been tempted by this rig, but I still want to get he Axial 10.3 Bronce first. Plus I've got a TGH sherpa and A Banggood TFL bronco in the mail so I've got my hands full a the moment. looking forward to seeing more running vidoe's of this. your paint job looks sweet.
Nice video as always I always find myself jealous of the terrain that you get to use Did you smash your left thumb? If that’s not just shadow of course
Great review!!! Lots of feedback. I noticed the lack of articulation in the video too, did you work out why? Also, you mentioned the gatekeeper, which did you find crawled better, this one or the gatekeeper?
What's up man. Awesome video. I'm new to the hobby. I started out with a trx4 high trail k5 a few months ago. A few of my friends have vanquish trucks. One has the fordyce and the other the phoenix. Although my friends have more knowledge than I do , you have way more experience than all 3 of us put together. I can't decide witch one i want . The phoenix with portals or fordyce straight axle. I saw your videos on both. And im still undecided. I'm not a hard core crawler. I'm more of a trail truck basher kinda guy who crawls sometimes. I want to be able to have rear wheel drive and 4wd. Is it possible with eather of these trucks? I want to be able to change bodies too. Maybe you can help me decide. Thanks.
So do you perfer the bfg tires over hyrax for the terrain you run on i love tires and for some reason these tires have never really appealed to me and im not sure why i think i need a set. Also this truck i want it asap when do you think it would be available?
Haha I feel ya man. This transmission has many layers to it and multiple times building and tearing down gets old. However I’m very familiar with what to do now.
@@westdesertwheeler nice! I live in Salt Lake. May have to head down there once I get mine built. I follow you on Instagram, I’ll shoot’s you a message when we plan to head down and maybe we can do some crawling.
@@mickd8188 holy shit im an idiot sorry i could have sworn these were limited slip, i just flipped it over when i read your reply and tested it! lmao. sorry new truck.
@@ed0c that's alright mate... it wasn't an exam or anything..lol. Trx4 have a locking /unlocking centre on everything apart from the sport, but most all others are locked until you get into the Ryft and Axial monster trucks etc.. Cheers 👍
It's a fairly smooth rc. If you add more weight to the tires, I think it will climb rocks better. It's a very interesting rc. I had a good time. Subscribe and like.😄😄😄
What shock oil Weight do you go with, in my early bronco I went with 45 weight in the front and 80 wait in the back seems to work pretty good, that’s with SSD pro scale shocks 90 mm performs really great now Harley any torque twist
Have you had any issues with the Axe system not having enough internal BEC? That's my favorite system in all my crawlers but I'm not sure if 7.4v is enough
Cool stuff... I like the white, super clean look. Are you running the kit supplied shock oil ? Looks like it needs a heavier weight to alleviate that bit of torque twist and weight transfer. Which is typical of also what the pro and ultra needed..Plus as you also mentioned maybe some front brake weights The tuning is all part of the fun. Looking forward to seeing more. Cheers mate 👍

That's the best looking build of all the VX4-10s I've seen on TH-cam so far
Thank you! I felt less was more on this truck
Glad I wasn't the only one with that extra pin after the transmission build😆
That’s pretty quick! Ha. Can’t wait to get one of these.
Yeah I ordered it on the release day and built it ASAP. I liked the features!
Nicely done! Great to see more of these out in the wild!
Thank you, I really like how it turned out. Got a few more changes and it’s done

Like always mate you give all us guys a good walk through your trails and honesty of the products you are using. Can't wait to see what's next 🤘
Thanks dude, glad you are liking the content. Always something to test in the RC garage! Already got a big change on the comp truck coming soon
Still building mine and so far every video has been positive about this truck.

Just finished mine tonight. Hopefully get to try her out tomorrow 😎
One of these days you really need to take a mini crawler out there they’re really fun!
That truck is vintage sick too man 😆👍🏻

Yes sir! I’ve done some shopping. Got some brass hubs but I might just stick wheel weights to the inner rings
3:30 are we all just going to pretend we don't see the skull in the rock!? Such a sick place to wheel man!!!!
Haha that’s pretty funny! Maybe I’ll name it dead mans turn since I always roll there anyway

Thanks! Yeah I certainly like what they came up with
First touchdown. Footprints in the sand. . Awesome truck
I am liking it a lot so far. Definitely tuning to come
Looks like a solid rig. Can't wait to see your permanent power plant in this.

I just ordered mine.

Did you put 180 or 270 degree servos for the overdrive and dig

How are you liking it? I am ordering one this week. Do you know if a hobbywing 550 will fit?
An outstanding looking truck right there.
Awesome crawling 👍👏 thanks for sharing
what motor/kv/esc are you using on this?
Nice video as always I always find myself jealous of the terrain that you get to use Did you smash your left thumb? If that’s not just shadow of course
Lol my left thumb still had paint on it from painting the truck. I took it out the next day
Can't wait 2 go ther n ride✌🌍🇺🇲
What size tires? 120mm OD?
Wow you did an amazing job on this truck man it looks awesome and the wheels are 🔥

If only we could get these in the Uk. 🙈
No international shipping? I thought I’d seen people overseas with them

how do you feel about locking diffs? im debating on locking my diffs in my scx10iii would love someone to make a deep video on this subject.

Cool video, and your rig looks great.....u have any issues with the clicking from the transmission people have complained about?
Not really. Sometimes if I shift I have to let off for a second to let it complete the shift then it’s quiet again

Nope it’s a direct fit
Did you paint that?
Yep
Looks so sick man 👍
