Doubt it, the bald head is aero and good for heat dissipation. All of my (male) crit bros and I are going bald. My female teammate aren't so fortunate. Just look at Victor Campenaerts and how fast he is and how little hair he has. (JK - do what's best for you!)
Just had mine done in Mexico. The injections were maybe a 3.5/10 on the pain scale, not even worth mentioning. I met a good mate who had the same procedure and we agreed that by far, the worst part was laying face down for the few hours it took to extract. Once I was face up I spent another 3-4 hrs to implant and I actually slept a fair bit during this process. I had 4750 grafts and it took about 8hrs, for under 4k usd. TJ clinic for the win! Super professional. Picked me up in SD, I spent the night in Tj after the procedure (in the same hospital) where they fed me lunch, dinner then breakfast before I left. I was transported back to SD with meds and that was all she wrote. I can’t imagine there’s a better clinic out there. Btw; PRP, stem cells and pain meds were administered as part of the procedure as well as a vitamin drip while the process was happening. Beyond happy wth the entire process.
Dang Claudio! Your willingness to post your journey is simply amazing. I'm not sure I would have the guts to be as open and transparent about your hair transplant journey. I'm so happy for you and hope that it turns out fantastically for you. I'm a fan for life!
Claudio, you’re a brave man! Thanks for sharing your journey, and rest assured you have a whole team of subscribers cheering for you on whatever you do.
I had mine done 3 weeks ago I went through exactly the same as you but with the added stem cell treatment. 3 big holes in the back of the head plus when they pump the plasma into your skull it burns like crazy. Now i have still stinging donor area and some itchyness. Healing well and inflammation down to about 15%. 60% of the transplant has already gone but the stem cell will help regrow quicker and thicker hairs. Glad you enjoyed it 🤣 I had 4400 grafts $2900 including stem cell and prp plasma treatment. Regards David
Brother it looks great so far!! If the finished product looks anything like now then that’s a huge win!! Will be interesting to follow along the next 12 months or so to see the transition.
i think it's great that this is becoming more mainstream. it was definitely seen as a bit weird and vain before in the UK, but in the last few years i've seen a good few acquaintances getting it done. and the results also look great compared to the first ones i'd ever seen (razer straight fake looking hairline etc). tbh i quite like a bald head, especially with a big beard combo, but each to their own and it's nice to have the choice now!
Had the same procedure done a few years ago, and my experience during the surgery re discomfort was pretty much the same. The shock loss is super real but once those scabs fall out it’s gonna be the best feeling in the world
I'm also from NY and I was at the same clinic a few weeks ago. I went through the exact same things... I told them to stop during the procedure also. I was afraid they'd make my hairline too low and had visions of Eddie Munster.... The hairline was good and i let them continue. I had 4900 grafts. Good luck to you and your recovery.
dude. I feel terrible. On one of your ftp test livestreams I remember commenting like “take off your hat and let your head cool and you’ll go faster!” Fellow baldy here (thinning crown). So immense of you to share the honest journey. I think i’ll stick with my hair pills! Holy shit haha. But your hairline looks sick, way to own the first phase like this!
hello friend. I was on my second transplant in the same client in the same room at Hotel Nova Plaza Pera overlooking the street. I had my first transplant in March 2024 - 3800 grafts - now I had my second one to increase density 3 weeks ago in December 2024. I am very happy with both visits. P.S. The photo in the profile is before the transplant.
Watching last night's SNL, and they did an NYC airport skit that, at the end, included passengers returning from Turkey after "cheap" cosmetic surgery....I swear they had you in there. 12-21-2024 episode, for reference.
I had mine 5 days ago, in London.. dude I remember 1 injection, then I was done in 4hrs.. I would not have coped with what u went through, interested to see how u progress.
You have a good shaped head to go bald. You could have shaved it and got a new bike with the money! Either way your head will look good. Thanks for sharing this.
Congratulations. But to keep that hair healthy and growing naturally, You need a multipeptide collagen and keratin treatment with growth factors for longer lasting results. Skinlyte has a soap that is loaded not only with collagen but also keratin peptides. It is called Hair & Whole Body Bar. According to what I read on Amazon, it is fast absorbed because it has an enhanced peptide binding enhancement technology which produces water molecules in a condensation reaction that hydrates skin and hair naturally. It repairs, grows hair, naturally moisturizes, rebuilds and strengthens hair and skin. I got it at Amazon and I am impressed with new benefits I discover every time I use it. I noticed many improvements in my hair, skin and nails. What I like best about it is that it's all natural and without harmful chemicals such as synthetic dyes, fragrance, SLS or preservatives.
Big earner and cost of living in America makes all the cost higher including the transplantations (5-6 times less in Thailand and Turkey with the same quality or better results)
will it make me faster tho?
If you managed to ride without a helmet, maybe that turbulent airflow could help you out lol

for cycling you always want less hair. can you return it?

Good for you, Bro. As a. Cyclist and fellow Baldi, I am excited to see someone own this process.
Looking forward to seeing your journey continue👍🏾

Scabs are falling out and feeling good!

You deserve to have a full 🦁 hair. I know people that go to Indonesia for 🦷 work. Look forward to seeing the results.
getting mine done next week... pumped for it!
Awesome, good luck!
be careful with the sun for the first 2-3 months, in New York luckily it is the winter season.
Love the brutal honesty. Would like recap of healing process. Hopefully you took pictures.
The DHI method procedure is like a walk in the park. You should try FUE grafts to truly feel pain.

Damn dude, looks great! 🤘
🙌
I went to Serkan clinc as well 2 years ago, what a wonderful experience (except the hotel included in the package).
My hotel was actually fine!
@ClaudioMarquez Cool they must have improved the package eversince!
Finasteride is great brother. I have been on it for years and has kept my hair full and my prostate small 😅.
I had mine 5 days ago, in London.. dude I remember 1 injection, then I was done in 4hrs.. I would not have coped with what u went through, interested to see how u progress.
Looks good dude
Thanks!
It takes a whole year for it to start taking effect? WOW.
Yes, sometimes 18 months for full results!
Instead of Minidoxidil spray, use the oral tablet version - it is much more effective.

Thank you!!
You can 100% use your normal shower pressure after 10-14 days, you need to massage the scabs out after day 10 ideally. Looking great though!
Thanks for sharing! Knowing what you know now, would you still have gone through the procedure? Was it worth the pain?
In the moment it was hard. But now I kinda forgot about the pain and I’m looking forward to the results over the next year!
@@ClaudioMarquezRight on, thanks Claudio ❤
9 hours sheesh that's brutal. looks good though!
Don't do a transplant unless willing to tak finasteride or dutasteride. The hair will eventually be lost if you dont take it.
Would you do it again if you knew the process? Also, you have a great beard, worst case you can always shave your hair and rock that look no problem
Ask me in one year! 🤓👍
see you in 12 months ;)
lol there goes all your aero effect under your helmet....lol JK it is awesome you are able to do this.
oh and the shaved head looks really good imho.
Thanks!!
are you on finasteride ?
Not yet
I thought this channel was about cycling 🤔
