- Jennifer Lopez is stepping away from the stage this summer. The superstar has canceled her upcoming "This is Me…Live" tour, Access Hollywood confirms. Jennifer, 54, announced the news in her On The JLo newsletter on May 31, telling fans in a personal message how difficult the decision was. "I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down," her note began. "Please know that I wouldn’t do this if I didn’t feel that it was absolutely necessary. I promise I will make it up to you and we will all be together again. I love you all so much. Until next time." Representatives for LiveNation said in a statement that Jen is "taking time off to be with her children, family and close friends.”

Well I don’t know if it is because of ticket sells. Do you know when Jlo was married to Marc and she had Emme and Max she took time off work to focus her marriage and there kids. One of the main issues Jlo and Ben were having was Jlo working to much. They both were missing each other and agree that there reassess what there propties are and Ben probably said. my love baby I loved you but you have to choose to cancel your tour or working on our marriage. Jlo didn’t want to loose Ben so she chose to saved her marriage. Jlo said she will fight for her marriage according to a source. Ben now happy to work on there marriage to. Ben being such a private person didn’t want Jlo singing songs about him live as it would caused a buzz around there marriage and bring to much media attention. Which Ben don’t want he clearly said it on the greatest loved story docemary.
She couldn't sell tickets. Empty stadiums. No more concerts Jlo.

Where did you get that information, that 80% of the tickets were sold? Additionally, whatever sales have been made so far are going to be refunded and there is a cost to the venues and companies who were contracted, so it's not only a loss, but a cost. Anybody who has been in the entertainment industry for decades and while being a parent doesn't suddenly cancel a major tour because they decided they are invested in their family. Furthermore, her Las Vegas contract was cancelled by the casino because they know full well that it will bomb. Her Las Vegas show did not get cancelled by her because of family. It was cancelled by MGM because JLo is Friday's leftovers on Wednesday.

I now believe that the thing with Ben is just fake/an act. It's been known for some time that the tour has problems and no tickets are being sold. Ben and the problems are now a pretext so as not to embarrass themselves because of the tickets. The whole thing reminds me of the Jonas Brothers (with the difference that they didn't hide it, they obviously fucked it up). I don't believe JLo that anything is wrong, especially because she mentions so many different groups (children, family and close friends).

The amount of hatred random people have for someone they’ve never met and will likely never meet is truly astonishing. People act like she k I lled someone. But the media and society love to do this to celebrities. Look what they did to celebrities like Michael Jackson, Beyonce, and Amy Whinehouse just to name a few. There’s only one other celebrity who gets as much, or actually, even more hate than JLo, and that would be Luis Miguel. However, he’s brilliantly mastered the skill of not giving a rats azz. He stopped doing interviews more than a decade ago, he never clarifies rumors, he couldn’t care less. And right now, he’s enjoying the most profitable tour of his career. This without doing a single interview, without acknowledging the media in any way, shape, or form, without releasing new music AND without talking to the audience at his shows. He sells out everywhere he goes. People either love him or despise him and he wouldn’t have it any other way.

It leaves a bad taste in her fan's mouths. Part of why I used to be a fan because I thought she really cared about others, big or small. As they say, money and fame amplifies who you really are. The expression "Nobody is a prophet in his own country" fits this situation perfectly because this hatred started with certain American media (trash) to get a few clicks and of course money; some Americans frustrated with their living conditions have found a way to vent. This isn’t new but much more violent due to the rise of social networks.
You weren't a JLo's fan because gossip is enough to make you change your mind about a woman you don't know. She has an association that helps women and children in precarious situations; she’s one of the celebrities always present for great causes by donating money, doing concerts; she helps women become self-employed; she interacts with her fans; etc.
