    I am 33 and was never taught to cook, just bought an air fryer and spent the whole day watching your videos. I can't wait to make some of these foods. Thankyou for making real videos without trying to be perfect, i appreciate it seeing as i can't cook but you have both taught me how to make sausage rolls using my fryer. Thankyou.

      Air-fryers are great! Also, try learning basic cooking skills, as this will help you utilise an Air-fryer to its maxim. How bake bread, make rotis, various pasta/curry dishes, roast dinners (understand how to cook various cuts of different meats) are the basics. Also how to use different spices, i.e. when to use rock, sea, Himalayan and table salt.

      @Roxel09 yes, air fryer is great, especially in current situation. Learn though how to use a gas cooker and oven if you get a chance. It will help you understand the fundamentals of cooking and appreciate how you manipulate ingredients to get what you want. Nothing better than seeing that gas burner light up and the story goes on from there is up to you!

      Buy some air fryer cook books look at the manufactures book they may have included recipes. If you can read a recipe you can cook. Just follow the instruction to the latter don’t deviate. Bon appertite.

    Classic, great how you show people to cook economically and use all ingredients with as little waste as possible. I can almost smell those Sausage rolls ... Its important so show young mothers that home cooked is always best for family and can be affordable. And taste great too.

    Belated happy birthday Sharon, when I make sausage rolls I make them the same way almost as Martin's, a wee tip get a savoy bag and cut the end to suit how thick you like you sausage meat, also when folding your sausage rolls fold them towards you keeping the pastry tight to the sausage with your thumbs when rolling that way the join is already at the bottom, I also coat all the inside of the pastry with egg wash then when rolled just bounce a dough scraper along the top once you've egg washed them, enjoy your video will watch more, thank you.

      Lol you always wondered but didn't figure it out or ask the G machine? Hahaha. Greggs are a staple here in England, and you can even buy them frozen from a supermarket called Iceland and cook them at home. They aren't quite as good as when cooked in store though, a bit more dry and crispy, but they do come hot whereas Greggs is almost always cold.

    Thank you for your great videos.
    A tip that I would like to present to you.
    I watched 1 of your vids where you were cooking sausages. You said that certain ones have a tendency to pop or even explode a little. I'm 70yrs old now and I remember that sausages in my younger days used to do the same. However, my Nan used to prick the sausages with a fork or a sharp tipped knife. Once that was done, just two or three times along one side, no more exploding sausages.
    Keep up the good work 👏.

    • @butlersempire
      @butlersempire  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, we do that but some of these really cheap sausages still split but not in the air fryer Steve.

    • @Fruityfrog1
      @Fruityfrog1 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@butlersempire That's a good reason not to buy cheap sausages. Penny wise, pound foolish, and all that. I'm really very new to air fryers. I bought a Dido 5 & a half litre air fryer. Which is really very basic but seems to work. Once I sorted out the various hieroglyphics in the instruction book, which really could have been a lot better. Also, there was no cooking recipe book. So, it was pretty much bloody useless. However, I still like the air fryer itself. I think that it could have some milage, as it were. Thanks for writing back to me. It was much appreciated.

      My Mom , God rest her was ahead of her time in many ways. She believed that working the kitchen or running the house overall should be meant for women alone. This was at a time when society did not believe that cooking or washing up afterwards was a job for a man.
      My brother and I were persuaded to give a hand out in all aspects of running a house in the belief that it would be no 'load' to us. We were by no means we'll off, or poor either but we were taught how to cook meals like you both do, meals that were nutritious , easy to prepare and didn't cost an arm and a leg.
      Due to health reasons my partner has been incapacitated for a number of months but thanks to Mom , I have been able to take over the running of the house with ease and thanks to you both, I have added to my cooking repertoire and bought my first air fryer.

    Lovely sausage rolls. Nothing like home made. However, I have found ASDA do a 10 pack of medium pork sauasage rolls that are very good. Cost £2. They are available in smaller packs, but then the cost gets prohibitive.They can be eaten cold but a few minutes in an air fryer until they start to crisp raises them to another dimension. Best eaten with a dollop of sauce like you do.

    If you have coffee filters they work just as good and fit because they are shaped round.I use them and get at a dollar store

    Yummy - I love sausage rolls but trying to buy sausage meat round here is impossible. I put it on my online shopping order every week but it is always out of stock. I know I could remove the skin from sausages but it doesn't taste the same. I always add some mustard to mine too. Tasty!!

    Would just to say a big Thankyou for your advice. I followed your advice n made my very first sausage roll today n wow. It was amazing. And just like you said. Greggs. Eat your heart out.
    Only downside is o made the meat too big so next time I make it abit thinner.
    Thankyou
