My god! We could only dream of having this sort of plant selection here in Phoenix. That place is huge! But what's even more mind-blowing 🤯 is those prices, they're fantastic! I do appreciate you taking the time and energy doing this tour! 🙏 Most folks don't ever show as much as you did. You almost went plant by plant in each section. 😂 You're definitely a trooper. 🫡 I hope you popped a couple aleves afterwards for your back. 💊 You're awesome 👌
Oh my goodness! I am headed there tomorrow. I just found your channel and I'm so grateful! I live in Allen and am always looking for local gardeners to follow. I haven't found too many yet. Thanks for the awesome video!
Wow! I can't believe you found Proven Winners annuals already! This nursery is pretty far from me, but I am tempted to grab them before they sell out! Thank you for this tour Amanda!
I loved this tour. I lived in BlueRidge for many years as a teen. I live about 2 1/2 hours away from Farmersville now. I sure saw a lot I want. So happy about the PW plants!!! TFS!! Blessings!💙😆🙏🦋
Hi, Don't pass up that Supertunia Vista Silverberry, I had it in our window box a few years ago & it was beautiful, goes great with pinks & purples, loved the video, you helped me with my list of flowers to grab , come spring time, Happy gardening, Ann in Ohio , zone 6b
Hi Amanda, wish we had a Home Grown Plants in our area. Wow, they sure had quite a selection of mint. I'm still trying to get my mint plants under control so I wouldn't be buying any more, but I sure would like some of those salvias. They have such a good selection of everything and the prices are very reasonable. I just planted some snapdragons and dianthus this week and already enjoying their spring blooms. Still trying to kill off the Virginia Buttonweed in the yard. Seems the herbicide I applied is acting more like a fertilizer . Will likely have to resort to getting down and dirty and pulling it up by hand.
The pineapple sage grows beautifully in my garden in South Africa. It gets about four feet wide and high with beautiful red spikes. Leaves are great in fruit salad and smell divine. Die back in winter and comes back in spring. great for pollinators.
Enjoy shopping thru you. I wished I lived in your area cause your plants seem so much cheaper than ours. I live in upstate network and u don't know exactly what are prices are going to be this year, however, last year they were higher than yours now. I am so looking forward to when I can get into my garden. Its cold and I still have a little snow in my garden and they are predicting some this weekend.
I’m so jealous about all those PW plants!!! Here in California it’s so hard to find them and if you do it’s only a couple annuals. I’ve been talking to the local garden centers and they just don’t seem interested in bringing them in.
Those plants look so full and healthy! (Except the Caladiums). I grow bedding plants to sell, on a very small scale, but mine are just starting...ugh, jealous
I’m pretty sure the ‘caladiums’ at 8:39 are syngoniums, I know it is kinda hard to spot the difference and yeah syngoniums just kinda look like that anyways 😭😭 maybe a bit too much sun
OH MY WORD....I am so jelly rn.....it would be a 4+ hr drive for me from the SA area. The prices are so amazing compared to ordering on line which is what I have to do for PW plants. A trial garden for TX peeps would be amazing, although DFW area I feel is not as harsh TX weather as humid Houston or bone dry like SA hill country but all gardeners gripe about their growing conditions don't they? HAHAHA . Enjoyed this video so much. Thank you for taking one for the team with the bending up and down for the plant tags!
This gets me so excited! Just 3 more weeks :D I'm glad to hear PW is setting up a trial spot in the area. I find so many PW plants just don't hold up in the heat.
Love when you show us Home Grown Nursery. I have been wanting to visit this Nursery. But everything is so expensive everywhere. Thank you for sharing as always.
OMG! Now’s the time to head your way Homegrown! It looks like they have lots of selection even as early as it is. I grew several Supertunia’s and Superbena’s from there last year and they were huge. I thought they were going to last through this year, but our last freeze here in Texas got them. I need to go check out there snapdragons as they do great for me and are perennial for me too.
What a beautiful nursery! Great selection! I have been looking for "fun" mints in my area. My kids grow a "tea" garden, and I think this would be a fun addition. I always see just regular mint. The search will continue once nurseries open in my area.
Wow, that’s a big increase in the soil. But the other brands are already expensive. Ouch! The verbena/vervain you saw is a butterfly and bee magnet! Mine got about 3’ tall and are very wispy plants. Tall stems with light purple flowers and very easy to grow. It’s already coming back from the roots and I saved seeds to try them. Thanks for the tour. I’ve started my list. 😁
I’m struggling to not pick up a few of the beautiful flowers! I know we will have a freeze/cold snap before Easter! You have me ready to drive all the way out there to Farmersville!
Proven Winners trial site!! Yay! That is EXCITING! And BTW, I cratered and bought a lime tree at Costco! (My husband is going to start sending you a monthly bill for plants!) Will I kill it? How long will it survive me? So much responsibility!! 😂
Love this walk thru! I am a new gardener in Austin, will those low herbs be on in full sun? I have 2 flower beds in full sun until 2-3pm which of the annuals/perennials not fry? I have found label with “full sun” doesn’t mean Texas full sun.
Yes most herbs can handle full sun. And yes’s are as sun is a lot … if you feel like your plant is drying in the sun, move it to afternoon shade or install shade cloth in the hottest part of the summer.
It would depend on if there were multiple plants in the 6” pot … sometimes there is only one plant. However, I loath digging big holes so I would probably opt for the smaller 4”.
After your last video, I bought a bunch of bare-root flowers. I'm in zone 8b, and it was 85 degrees today. Do you think I should go ahead and plant them in the ground, or do I need to plant them in holding pots first, as you did? This is the first time I've tried bare-root plants.
The tours are my fav… helps me know which Nursery in our area (Wylie) has what I need without driving to each first!
Love that!

Thank you for this tour of Home Grown Plants. I went there today and love it! I really enjoy your channel!
Yay!!! So happy you checked it out!
I’m at work and ❤ that you did this video. I’m now able to just pop by there on Saturday and pick up the items without wasting too much time. 😊
Wonderful!
Wow! I can't believe you found Proven Winners annuals already! This nursery is pretty far from me, but I am tempted to grab them before they sell out! Thank you for this tour Amanda!
You should! The prices were great!
@@shesamadgardenerso the PV annuals were $8.95, but for the bigger (8"?) Pots right?!
I loved this tour. I lived in BlueRidge for many years as a teen. I live about 2 1/2 hours away from Farmersville now. I sure saw a lot I want. So happy about the PW plants!!! TFS!! Blessings!💙😆🙏🦋
Glad you enjoyed it!
😊 loved shopping with you
🤗
Can’t wait to learn by watching how you plant the gladiolus. Mine never bloom; they die out after the stems start to pop up a little.
I’ll be planting soon!
Omg !! That’s a PW emporium! Wishing from California
It was awesome!

Nice ! I con't wait to shop for my garden, in zone 5 , my garden shopping may start next month.
Yay for shopping!
Great nursery tour again, Amanda! You really took one for the team!! Can’t wait to visit this one.
Please do!

They had such an amazing selection!
I may have to take a drive. TFS
BTW, Aldi has bulbs
Thanks, I’ll go check them out!
Thanks for taking me along shopping Amanda. I've never heard of the Crazytunias before. I will have to keep my eye out for them. Bonny
Please do!

Ooo, now I want it!
Fun shopping. Lucky u get provin winners in your area.
They are really expending at this nursery!
1:00 when i saw FANS I immediately thought wow she got groupies following her around 🤣

Oh wow! It’s crazy how prices vary across the country. Hope your spring is on the horizon!
Love the Crazytunias. First I've heard of those.
They are very pretty!
You forgot the silver berry 😂. Sending love from WV ❤
Next time! I didn’t have room in my February budget!
It's 84° here in San Antonio😅! HGN has a great selection at good prices. Thanks for taking us along.
Thanks for watching!

Totally agree … they need a trial garden in each of the major areas of Texas since they are all so different.
This gets me so excited! Just 3 more weeks :D I'm glad to hear PW is setting up a trial spot in the area. I find so many PW plants just don't hold up in the heat.
Agreed … hopefully this will help them learn what works for our area!
Thanks for taking us along! It was great to see all the PW selections they have 👍I want to try the pink cashmere verbena this year 😊
You are so welcome!

Yeah so expensive but at least it is a 3 cu ft bag! Yes I realized that the verbena is like my meteor showers verbena that I have planted!
@@shesamadgardener Definitely still a better price than other stores! If HG went up, they all will. Really appreciate all your info!
80° OMG! I hope we hit 60° today!😊
It’s so hot already!
Wow huge nursery! Love the gladiolus you picked up ❤, I pre-ordered the PW verbena pink cashmere.
Hope you enjoy it!
I’m struggling to not pick up a few of the beautiful flowers! I know we will have a freeze/cold snap before Easter! You have me ready to drive all the way out there to Farmersville!
Just hoping it’s not too cold … only a light freeze!
I like there selection i may have to check them out
They have quite a bit that’s not even out yet.

You got this! My lemon tree video comes out tomorrow!
Next best thing when you can’t make it in person ❤❤
Glad you liked it!

Question, would you buy Annuals in bedding plant size or these 6" size & divide? Thx so much. cgzone8

Yep, go ahead and plant them if your two week forecast looks good!
Plant them wherever you want … ground or pot.
Beautiful Place do they ship plants?
No, sorry!
