@@marleneegan-hm7lr I hope you are posting from Indonesia because this is NOT a native to North America. This is why our country is invaded with insects and plants that are invasive.
@@katethegardener I was unaware that this thread was discussing native plants. I believe the poster mentioned the word blue, not native. As far as I know many proven winners plants are not native to North America. I have never seen an issue with butterfly pea becoming invasive in any way where I live.
Purple my favorite color 💜 i plan to use lots of purple this season.. all beautiful plants i loall the colors and will have almost all the colors thanks for showing I absolutely absolutely absolutely love plants
Nice to see more of the Luminary series of Phlox. I have the white and the light pink and wow are they ever spectacular. They are beautiful and no white mildew and they repeat bloom for so long if you deadhead. This one will be on my list to add for 2024.
Why can we not get Proven winners all over England I’ve been watching Garden Answer for years she’s a great Ambassador for your plants but I would love some of your plants x
Marie, trying going here: www.kernock.co.uk/acatalog/Proven_Winners.html It's a grower site, but if you contact them, they can tell you who they sell to. Good luck!
PLEASE HELP???????? 🙏 I’m in the uk and have spent four yrs watching Laura from GA and I can’t purchase or find super bells anywhere here? Trawled the net for hours Pls pls tell me where I can buy these from without paying astronomical prices on shipping? Or are they sold under a different name here? I’m in England SE. If anyone can help me find them I’d be forever in your debt! 🙏🙏🙏🙏
I checked, and the grower said they use Proven Winners fertilizer, but a professional formulation. Not much different though than the PW fertilizer you can buy at your favorite garden center. The main key is to feed! Too many folks neglect that, or don't do it often enough.
How can we get the annuals and all the plants to NORTH TEXAS. These are a hard thing to find. I have a friend ship stuff to me from North Carolina - Please get some here (shipping is expensive. 🙂
Check for your nearest retailer here - www.provenwinners.com/retailers/locate Otherwise, you can order online direct from PW here - url.avanan.click/v2/___provenwinnersdirect.com/collections/proven-winners-annuals?view=boost-pfs-original___.YXAzOmJhbGxob3J0OmE6bzo5MzMzZmQyZDJiNWQzNmY1YzFiYzdkMzYwOGVhZjIzOTo2OmRjNWQ6MWEyMWNmM2U2ZjdjZTcyNDAxYjNjMzQ2YjdiNTNiNmZhMjliZDY0ZjE4NzQxNzVkZGI1Y2ZkOTI4MmY4NGU0MDpoOlQ
I been watch and buying your pink bubble gum I can’t find the seeds I want have my yard fill up love the them can you tell me where to there to get them
I meant the cuttings are only available to professional growers. Finished plants of Supertunia Vista Bubblegum are available at garden centers and nurseries everywhere.
Perhaps you have been growing seed verbenas, which are not nearly as large or vigorous as Superbena and the other varieties grown from cuttings. Give one a try and report back! And remember to water and feed!
Farooz, these are grown from cuttings, not seed. And you cannot get just the cuttings. You will have to look for a nursery or plant shop or garden center near you that sells Proven Winners plants. If there isn't one, go to www.provenwinners.com/catalog.
I think what you were hearing is "PGR" - plant growth regulator. It's a hormone that helps keep a plant compact and bushy. You benefit from loads and loads of branches (which makes loads and loads of flowers).
I will not buy any plants that have that white stuff in the soil, and I definitely will never buy another plant or shrub that has those little green fertilizer balls in the planting soil. Those green things stay forever in the soil and they never break down. I had to dig out plants that I lost to a drought in 2022. Some of those plants were in the ground five years or longer. Guess what was in the soil? Thousands of green balls that never broke down. I have green balls everywhere. I will never buy that crap again. Monrovia has a much better planting medium. They rarely have those green balls, and if I see them, I put it right back down and won't buy it. Never again.
That white stuff is no doubt perlite, which is a natural product made from volcanic glass. It helps the soil hold air. Those little green balls you see are actually the outer shell of a fertilizer "prill" - the nutrients soak through it, leaving the ball empty. Squish one and see. The prill will biodegrade naturally; it just takes a while for it to happen. They are harmless. By the way, I don't know a grower of perennials or shrubs or trees that doesn't use slow-release fertilzer - it's effect, prevents runoff, saves water and is friendly to the environment.
I absolutely love Proven Winner plants. Great quality!
I am retired from Mahoneys growing division greenhouses in Woburn Ma. Just looking at this beautiful open greenhouse space is making me homesick 💚
Love all the beautiful new flowers for 2024. Can't wait to plant a few. Thanks
Yea Truffula Pink Gomphrena is my favorite plant. I have them everywhere in my garden. Love them and they winter over in my 8a zone.❤️
I’m in zone 9a and have grown Truffula since it came out! Never knew it would survive year to year. Good to know!
We need some actual blue colored flowers, not grower purple called blue but actual blue.
0:55 maybe try "plumbago". It is blue, blue. It's more of a groundcover but it's a great perennial..
Margie- I have had very blue plumbago for at least 15 years it is agreat ground cover.
In warmer zones ( I’m in 9] Butterfly pea vine grows beautifully. It’s the most vibrant ( dark ) blue I’ve ever seen in a flower

Proven winners have been the best flowers for my hanging baskets …super bell bubblegum
I'm still looking for the 2020 to 2022 flowers, and you are showing 2024😁
Love the yellow supertunia. But I do wish Four Star wouldn’t load so many PGRs on the cuttings. Sometimes they remain stunted all season.
I enjoyed the host he fun with description of plant n asking questions

Stay tuned ... I believe the folks at PW are tracking down a local retailer for you!
Wonderful video, it's just so exciting.❤
Is this an industry video? I'm not sure what the code words are that are used here.
It is intended for the growers and retailers of these plants, but we are happy to give gardeners a sneak peek!
What are you feeding them with in the greenhouses to make them so big?
I checked, and the grower said they use Proven Winners fertilizer, but a professional formulation. Not much different though than the PW fertilizer you can buy at your favorite garden center. The main key is to feed! Too many folks neglect that, or don't do it often enough.
Thanks for the scoop! @@GrowerTalks

Thank you for the video! I only wish you'd list them.
List them ... in the description?
@@GrowerTalks sorry, I’m used to others who list the names of the plants in the description. Thank you anyway.

Can you say if they love sun or shade
Added to the description, Nindy.
Supertunia are impossible to find in England uk. Help 😢????
Kernick Park nurseries in England. They sell to other retailers throughout England.
@@katethegardener you can't. Supertunias are bred to produce sterile flowers. They can only be grown from cuttings (propagation).
Would be nice to know the size
I have never done well with verbenas in a pot or in the ground. They dry out and die on me. How is superbena different? Should i try again?
Perhaps you have been growing seed verbenas, which are not nearly as large or vigorous as Superbena and the other varieties grown from cuttings. Give one a try and report back! And remember to water and feed!
Superbena? Another I can’t find. When are proven winners opening up in the uk for us who drool over Laura’s PW plants??????
Hi Bella, we have replied to your top comment to help you find these in the UK. Hope that helps!
What is GR?
What we were saying is "PGR" - plant growth regulator, which is a hormone applied to help plants branch and produce more flowers for the gardener.
There are lobelias, felicias, plümbagos, agapanthus…etc.

That would be "growth regulator," more commonly referred to as PGR, or plant growth regulator.
