my friend has a 2010 freightliner and the headlights are blinking without having the headlights on. for now, he turns the head lights on while driving and they don't blink. when he stops for the day he has to turn the power switch off to keep them from blinking. I was searching for a video fix for this problem. i'll tell him to check those fuses.
Clinton Kirker hey buddy can you please give me the part number or the exact name of the part that you changed I'm having the same problem and there's nobody here really answering please when you get a chance give me a reply thank you friend
@@LatrellDaGod Yes i did its the power distribution module. Change the hole power distribution module that holds all fuses. Just tell them that and all ur issues will go away. It used to have a recall on it now the new one looks almost the same just a cover has a sitting and screw to keep water out and moisture so it's kind of updated and better yeah just have that replaced. If you get it yourself off the internet it's very easy to exchange yourself I paid over $700 to have it changed.
@UC_9EVgOAOTpTsEirW6aM8vQ Mine was under the hood. 2013 cascadia with cominns isx15. The one inside cab I doubt it has anything to do with the lights outside. My truck all lights were flashing like four way flashers were flashing the front lights were on at all time and inside the dash everything was flashing after changing the distribution module everything is okay again
@Salvador Magana On my 2012 Cascadia its 3 small fuses inside a box with two yellow latches, mounted under and to the right(truck's) the manual master cylinder on the driverside firewall. A meter will tell you if the fuses are blown. In my case the the same symptoms from bad fuse. Also, seen this from water at the truck wash, engine wash, driver had to wait until it drained out. Never wash the Sam chasi, I told they guys.
I appreciate you for this video. I’m experiencing this right now, do you know what causes this? I had my phone charging with the truck off and then started smelling a burn smell. I checked my one my fuses and saw it a little corrosion on it.. not too bad. I would like to hear you expound a little more on my questions. Thank you!

Did you have a problem with the truck not cranking when this happened to bring attention to it? I'm having the exact same issue but engine won't turn over either.
2016 Cascadia no such box but having the same problems. Just started like that. have not washed the engine. would mine be on the fire wall drivers side. need help asap. thanks
Hey guys my buddy's truck is a Freightliner 2012 with a Cummins and it has exactly the same problem where would I find the fuse maybe you can help me with the name of the fuse the voltage amps. He is going crazy
mine were under the cab on the driver side... some guys say its under the driver seat... but u can call a local dealer and they will tell u with the vin number of the truck were it is suppose to be on that truck
@@ppompilus Thank u for replying brotha. Would u know what its called ? I know it's some sort of electric module or fuse just wondering what the right name is u know so i can ask the dealer
My issue is I just got a 2020 Freightliner Cascadia. I shut everything down and hit the kill switch. The only light blinking is rear tractor hazard light. It doesn’t blink as normal but blinks every 5 seconds or so.
My 16 does the same but if I turn on the key or park lights it stops but if I only touch the break pedal or turn on any light in the truck it will only stop for a few seconds
I do most of my videos in real time... not in a studio... natural light is usually what I gotta work with... and my vids are just a reference of a problem that I have...
Thank God for TH-cam this happened to me today, glad I found this video, exact same problem exact same fix
Great video
I have the same issue but the headlight flashers are on too. And they are just on, not flashing. So this will give me a good spot to start.

I had to have my Sam cab module replaced to fix the issue you are describing.
Your truck lights were also flashing?

Did you have to disconnect battery before you change the fuses ???

Maxim Aries which fuse did you have to replace?
I'm having the exact same issue but on a 2014 Cascadia but when I check the fuse it shows good. Was the fuse blown before you changed it?
Yes it was blown... have you checked the other modules next to it
Did you happen to find yours and was it the same issue? I have a 2014 cascadia that's doing the same thing where can I find this fues box?

I couldn't found under the seat. Where it located on 2014 cascades? I have the same issue
Its outside of the cad... Directly under the seat towards the nose of the truck
Did you find it I have the same problem in a 2014 and I look under the cab and it was not there wandering if you located it.
