Thanks for the video. I miss the good ole days when trucks had relay circuits. Everything went downhill with all these modules. I can understand for engine control etc. but for chassis components is just ridiculous. Multiplex wiring sucks.

I had this very issue. Folks, don't ignore it like I did! It's cascading effect of problems with exterior lighting! Ultimately it was caused by water getting into the SAM chassis module, due to a missing cover that had been missing from before I bought the truck. Definitely be sure your cover is in place and tightened down
My truck done exact same thing & that was the problem, I have a 2016 Cascadia
I have a fleet of Cascadias, the SAM chassis module will also quit powering a tail-light for the same reason. There is another pin on same connector that from the factor powers "side marker light" that is hooked to nothing. Move tail-light connector to that position and lights will work correctly, would have to look up pin position but it has worked for years and for free, minus labor of course!

What pgm do you need to program it
i had this same problem people . What happens water gets in the Sam chassis and damage it and cause your tail light to stay on when truck is turned off. Get this fix ASAP if not it will cause other problem. The Sam chassis is like a house window with caulking around it after time the caulking disintegrate and water gets in and cause that to happen. You can take it out your truck yourself bring it to dealership buy new one put it back in your truck then bring it to dealership to program it. You let them take it out and install it you gonna pay more money and for programing .

Battery cut off switch for $20 until you can save enough pesos for the big fix....lol
You just have to swap it out. No programming needed. Also they are $950 now with core exchange. Freightliner dealership informed Me they are no longer doing reman. Before trading in your sam module clean it up makesure no burn marks. Dealer will reject it.
This is just a side note to add. I gave freightliner a non working module from the junk yard and opened my original. I was able to clean all the areas that had corrosion, and I used a soldier iron to heat up those contacts. I removed the new sam module and reinstalled my original, and it's working. Still keeping replacement stored under bunk.
That happens to the 2024 freightliners. Every now and then when i go to shut the truck off that right light stays on just tap the brakes before u shut the battery kill switch on. Think thats hooked up to the brake switch. Why it stays on.
If You have to replce SAM chassy I would check my windsheld for water leak.
Hell, I just noticed this with my truck yesterday, but it was the left tail light staying lit up . But what's really shocking is the battery kill switch was off cause I turn it off when I'm not running sat, sun, and Monday. What could be causing this problem then?
What if my tail lights only work when pressing the break or using the blinkers but lights aren't on
Can that sam chassis also affect a non working reverse lamp on a 2015 cascadia? I've already checked the usual suspects, with still no resolution
For reverse light is a valve on top the of gear box
I got a 2014 cascadia and the kill switch doesnt work its a brand new switch but wether the switch is on or off the truck turns on anyways, would the chassis controller have something to do with it? Does anyone know what the problem could be?
@@skipjackjohn6231 probably bypassed i just bought the truck, have it sitting it at home, i just bought a regular cutoff switch in the meantime till i figure out what was done
