  • Welcome back to another eventful track day!
Today we had some fast cars at the track with us, and I was able to get some good chase footage in the civic! Few cars went off including myself haha...

Awesome time attack runs. So you can still run on other tires like the Bridgestone RE-71R as well besides the Pirelli Trofeo R which are mandatory for every classes from what I've heard? I'm interested in participating the CSCS event at some point.

    • @FastLaneWithVitto

So I was in production class where there’s no mandatory tire. I believe it starts at super street where the Trofeo R is mandatory I can’t remember exactly though. But on their site they have all the rules! It’s definitely a fun event, but the classing isn’t the best. Ontario Time Attack has the classing perfected

These cars need a lot of suspension work to be any good on the track. They’re very narrowly stanced and have bouncy spongy suspensions that aren’t up to the task of staying planted through a corner and keeping the wheels on the pavement. With mine I made the stance wider by 5 inches by going widebody and then a bigger and stiffer sway in the rear and coilovers and full suspension and now it keeps up with just about any RWD car under 500HP on the track

Every single time with a 175lbs passenger on my car. I want to move to a K24 and DR 2.2 or even a 3.2 but it is a kick in the nut to break my engine apart just to do the mods. Part of me wants to wait until the cylinder head goes bad but that can take who knows how long. My engine runs so smooth.
