Very well done. The only thing I can think of is that some folks will want to know what's involved in changing the brace to the various SBA braces. This info is available online, but some people won't know where to find it. But that's just a suggestion, it's not a criticism. Good job.

Thanks for the review! I have the Gen 1, which BTW I bought just after it went up to the current price. Glad to hear about the Gen 2's metal trigger: my Gen 1 performed flawlessly, until I ran steel-cased ammo through it, and it started to malfunction and had poor trigger action. So I got the Palmetto State Armory polished trigger, and it seems better now (no more steel-cased for me!). Also, glad to hear that the owner's manual has been updated: reading through mine, there comes a point where it seems to be describing a different gun than the EP9.

I wish you'd shown the new muzzle device in more detail.
In some of the video, the brace seems to have a strap. In other parts of the video, it's just a piece of plastic. I'd like to see more about it.

Why not show us the buffer and spring? That is where the magic happens, right? They did big cost savings going to their own brace blade. Gave some of the savings back with the new steel fire control group.

Do you think having the longer handguard on the Gen 2 covering the threads of the barrel would make if more difficult to add a suppressor?

    • @FamilyFirearmReviews

Personally I kinda like the aesthetics of the gen 1 it looks more tactile, but prefer the gen 2 mlok over the gen one, and I like how the handguard extends over the end of the barrel. the only issue I have is I am "a poor" and to tell you the truth, cannot afford either. I cannot even afford a HiPoint carbine. oh well!! life of being a useless pathetic loser I guess, but I can always fantasize about owning an Extar EP9 one of these days.. great contented guys the Extar is of one of my favorite topics..

Just a thought: Can't you order through a gun dealer that allows a 3 month payoff (or longer)? That way you could make small monthly payments. Today's USA requires you to protect yourself and family because of the now-Fascist government who's promoting death and decay.

@@FamilyFirearmReviews awesome 👏 I need more LOP because I am longer arm person. The EP buffer tube is completely round and I am trying to figure out how those braces they recommend that are compatible even lock into place. But in order to do that, I don’t understand how it’s locking into place.
