See thumbnail, get excited, start video, hear B&T, realize to my dismay it will be cool but also cost even more organs than I already anticipated.
No biggie, just take another loan!
Yeah, it's pretty depressing. $4 grand. At least.

BSD has been designing and going through their design for a while(I’ve been watching this build on their socials) and only the past couple months is when B&T was brought in. Of course it will be pricey, it’s a new thing and something that’s barely put into “production” so ya no duh it will be pricey but show me another company that has made us a quality VSS in America?
People should watch forgotten weapons video on this gun before getting excited. He goes into more detail about the shadier nature of this.

Meanwhile, on Forgotten Weapons...
See B&T, and excitement is immediately shot. They'll make 500 of them, discontinue them, then they'll be worth 2x on the secondary market 6mo after production
Since its another company who proposed the project and is working with them to produce them, im thinking it wont be a limited run.
@alexdrockhound9497If the worst prediction occurs, I'd imagine BSD would find a new partner. Maybe not as quality but BSD should be the patent owner.
@alexdrockhound9497 that would be awesome. I want the product to succeed, I just get my feelings hurt anytime I get excited about a B&T product only to see it get one run released in the US then disappearing forever

Wow after watching Ian's video it's surprising how many complications just get handwaved over in this discussion
It's Reeve's shtick, hype and bluster......

0:36 - "VSS on the wall" and then proceeds to show AS-Val...
The VSS Vintorez suppressor and operating systems are exactly the same as the AS Val. I think main difference would be what the rounds are chambered in
@@swiggidy1scorpion And you would be wrong because they both use 9x39 (or in this case .300).
The difference between AS-Val and VSS Vintorez is just a stock. One had folding metal stock, and the other colapsible metal stock... all the moving parts are the same, but lower is slighlty different (in fact there is absolutelly no reason why it should be different, but it is). So VSS gets "sniper-ish" wooden stock with integrated pistol grip (California frienfly ehhhh!), whereas AS-Val gets a separate screw for a grip and separate screw for the stock, profile of lower is ever so slighly different so that you can't put VSS stock on AS-Val... but if they are remaking the parts then there is not reason to make them different - it will be one gun two stocks.

The other one with bipod is VSS.

Also if it would be average public nobody saying that I wouldn't mind, but these guys are "experts", so he said VSS, but then showed AS-Val... At first I was happy that someone other than Q and B&T was making suppressor specific guns, but of course it's B&T.
I understand the problem of making a one stamp gun. BUT, as regulations are currently enforced, if it's just a one stamp gun for the suppressor, you have a lot less hassle crossing state lines. Crossing state lines with a SBR is much more of a hassle. Hopefully this changes in the near future, but right now it's just a fact. If I drive to my son's house in Texas with a one stamp suppressor, no problem. If I try to take it to Texas to hunt hogs as an SBR....that involves government. I don't want to involve government. SO it's not just an NFA tax stamp issue, it's red-tape after the taxes are paid.
Is it not the same form for interstate travel, suppressor or SBR?
@@TheSuburban15 Suppressors don't require ATF 5320.20 form to travel across state lines, SBRs and other NFA items do.

@@TheSuburban15 Suppressors shouldn't even be NFA items. They're not firearms. It's stupid that they regulate them as they do, but yes, you don't have file paperwork to cross state lines. There are several different companies which offer 1 tax-stamp guns for this reason. It's also why I won't own an SBR right now.
Edit to add: of course some of the leftist states have state laws making suppressors illegal. So obviously those state lines are a no-no.
So its safe to say it wont retain the suppressed nature of the original rifle, still cool to see
HOLY SHIT.
Want.
Yesterday.
Give.
i had the same reaction, man! been wanting one forever
It’d be super cool if the outer barrel threads were 1.375x24 to be able to use any can with a long enough blast chamber. It’d knock the cost of the gun down too
Literally vaporware
