This is the second video highlighting some smaller manufacturers (the first being Hammy3d) that has been really useful. Thank you for covering the smaller guys. It has been great to learn about newer and smaller people on the way up.
This looks really cool. Strap a 509t on this thing and you have a really cool package for a SBR. The piggy back optic mount is an instantaneous new standard.
He's not the first, Farrowtech makes a similar solution for the DBAL lasers. I can't name any other laser modules off the top of my head other than the DBAL that would be able to support the same functionality.
I think the railscails leaf is a rudimentary piggyback product for dbal and peq15. Not an actually red dot piggyback. I can't say I've seen that before either.
Hey Marvin, thank you for bringing something new to the market and taking that risk. Can’t wait to see the company grow and hope to purchase one of these in the future!
I wanna see more smaller businesses/creators on this channel from now on. I could not physically care less about another polymer 9mm pistol. Meanwhile, the smaller guys are coming out with *actual* innovations.
So stoked for Marvin. I see great things in his future. As a customer with other products of his, I am looking forward to seeing where his venture goes. Super high quality, super cool guy.
I like seeing someone see a problem and instead of just complaining about it, they make a solution themselves. Idk about the 2k price point without using diodes and other products that usually bump up the price but I know nothing about what it costs so overall good for him. Cool to see up and coming makers.
That's neat. The Aimpoint mount is particularly cool. I just wish the lasers were centered to be inline with the bore. Having used both inline and offset, inline is just so much nicer. I think it's safe to say most people aren't still running fixed A2 front sight to require offset lasers.
A million different things can cause zero shift on handguards; that's why you never mount your primary optic to the handguard on unless it's monolithic to the receiver.
Oh shoot, literally no one has ever thought of or considered that and it’s super relevant to the use-case of types of guns this would be mounted to. Shucks.
Better have a bomb ass mount. If that LAM takes a hit and there's flex in that mount, not only will you lose your laser zero but you'll lose your dot zero too.
They are making innovative products. Good for him! I hope he reads the comments about the iris coti adapter and if they can make it work with the boomslang lenses.
Since the optic sets atop... and you mentioned usb-c communication... would be neat to see you come out with an optic that communicates with the LAM. To create an ecosystem. Not sure what information would be handy, zero? But could possibly be a next step in accessory evolution/ecosystems.
This dude is my favorite TFB host. When he was in Live Free or Die Hard and he was on the phone with OnStar, it was like Bruce Willis was really having a heart attack.
This is really cool, but. it's still insanely expensive..... maybe not when compared with some other premium options but, people like Holosun etc will continue to undercut stuff like this.
So to the guys point about innovation about Sig: innovation is Good, but use your customers as BETA testers are not cool, specially they are paying a premium and expect a weapon to work PROPERLY.
The idea of putting a piggyback red dot on the LAM is nice Makes me wonder, why haven't other companies experimented with that? The optic and laser in one package Only optics I could think of that does that is the MARS itl and mepro mor
There is so much sillyness done to guns just because of NVG use. I do like innovative ideas like this though, it needs innovation in this area, it is a must as LAMs have roughly been mounted the same way for 20+ years because of the size which dont seem to be getting smaller any time soon. I prefer the optic closer to the eye and lower down, but I am sure there are some lego ways you can adapt this. My worry would be about messing up the threads in an expensive unit.
I love how Sig evolves their products. Id waiting 10 years for something twice as good rather than getting sinething a bit bettwr every 2.5 years is much better.
It's basically a dude in a shed hand making a boutique premium product in the US. It's going to have a price premium that can just be eaten by a massive company like Holosun that has access to chinese factory space.
In case no one has mentioned it, thanks for the snappy tunes on intro and the way out. Reminds me of Bender at the Robot Disco on Futurama! 🎉 😂 ❤ Good Times…
So a guy who likes to shoot said "I don't like what the market offers, I can do better," and then went and did it. AWESOME.
That's fucking America baby
Stoner did the same thing with the early prototypes that became the AR-10.
facts , def a guy you're hoping gets his business to be successful.seems like he will continue trying to innovate
If you want something done right, you gotta do it yourself.
Didn't Eotech have all in one IR + Sight combos a decade + ago?
This guy graduated from being in the comments section of tfb videos to being in the tfb video 👍 good job bro
Wicked logo as well
Really? That's pretty cool.

I was praying that at least AMMJ got it right. Hooray!

100% agree!!!! Instantaneous new standard is right.
The little guys definitely came out with all the cool shit at this SHOT. Good on this guy
this guys is out here doing what i dream about all the time. taking an idea/design and make it a real product, an awesome one at that. Very inspiring.
I really hope this guy makes it
Okay, now that piggyback mount for a red dot, that's an impressive idea. I don't know if he's the first, but I haven't seen that anywhere before

Holosun 420
@@tango_alpha_556I was going to say the same thing.
Not an MRDS but someone made a the leaf for IIRC the dbal.

This dude is rad. I love when dudes channel their guntism into innovation. Way to go, Marvin
This is brilliant for those with minimal rail space
Maybe hop can actually make the mp5 work with this 😂
The piggyback setup is genius.
Marvin is a national treasure
MARVIN! IT'S JEREMIAH! Proud of you homie!
Nice, I hope this guy goes far...
Marvin's nervous, like Luke's gonna deport him if his Penumbra sucks...
(Respect to him though, perfect presentation and awesome looking product)
Lol I though the same!
MORE OF THESE INDIVIDUAL COMPANIES!!

This looks promising
Ya'll need to spend more time in the Dungeon. The prime booths get super redundant coverage, and the real gems are often overlooked.
Awesome seeing local Michigan bros doing their thing at shot show
I really like that it uses Aimpoint mounts
I like his triceratops logo lol
I’m a bad friend so I forget the details, but there is some symbolism with his family there. Not just his favorite Dino nuggie.
Good luck sir, you seem like you have a bright future in the industry!
Now this is innovation! Great to see someone taking their gripes and making something better than what the market offers.
🇺🇸
This is soo cool. No new mounting architecture. Just the most popular ones mixed into a very user friendly tool.
A million different things can cause zero shift on handguards; that's why you never mount your primary optic to the handguard on unless it's monolithic to the receiver.
Oh shoot, literally no one has ever thought of or considered that and it’s super relevant to the use-case of types of guns this would be mounted to. Shucks.
Using the LAM as the mount for the optic???? Genius!!!! We need options to mount rifle red dots on it too
Better have a bomb ass mount. If that LAM takes a hit and there's flex in that mount, not only will you lose your laser zero but you'll lose your dot zero too.
Those guys in the dungeon are absolutely killing it on the innovation side!
I love this guy... Nice work sir.
Good product. People complaining about price don't own good night vision
Exactly.
LAM tism in action.

This is cool. Like, legitimately cool. Actual innovation. Something truly different

Marvin a breath of fresh air. Not often you hear a company with a on the pulse of what customers are looking for.

Chyna Chyna Chyna
It's spelled Penumbra on their website. Not Prenumbra.
Yeah Prenumbra is a gel you use if you have a problem arriving too early.
@@LangstonDev No way! lol
If i didn't already have a Designateir-v for around the same price I would get one.
That SBR is sweet does anyone know the name of the upper/suppressor?
This is one of those ideas I wish I had come up with when people started mounting their LAM's on risers right in front of their optics.
So to the guys point about innovation about Sig: innovation is Good, but use your customers as BETA testers are not cool, specially they are paying a premium and expect a weapon to work PROPERLY.
Insanely cool
A lam that also has a red dot mount? Bravo my man that is innovative and sick as hell
That's pretty slick yo.
Very cool!
He seemed genuinely glad that TFBTV was talking to him
I would love to see a version of this that has a picatiny top rail so you can mount all kinds of optics.

Damn this is slick. Should use the old LMT, the LWRCI, or even ARMS #17 footprint to mount small pieces of picrail to it
Clever.
Did you guys remove the video on the pump action pistol?
That was fuddbusters/blasters that did a vid on that, I think.
While I really like the red dot piggy back design, I assume the controls are not very accessible when running a magnifier behind it?
This is really cool

He reminds me of Ray Romano.
What in the world thats a new one lol. Were slowly making our way back to the m16 riser. Edit: Grammar
This is still a shorter HOB than a Hydra mount or those goofy "full peripheral" goose-neck risers that were getting pushed a couple years back.
Cost?

PENumbra or PRENumbra?
their website says penumbra
Pen umbra, near the shadow.
Umbra is the darkest area of the shadow of a moon / sun / planet.
So between light and darkness, doing both.
Whyyyy are people coming out with brand new LAMs with stupid offset emitters? Zero of the demo guns on the wall had front sight posts. I don't get it.
Because some people still like fixed sight posts.
