Good advice for those planning the NC500, been there done that twice so next year I am doing a tour staying South of the Great Fault and have worked out a good route of about 600 miles with three nights camping using my Rebel 1100 I just hope the weather is kind next June.
I wish I'd seen this sooner!! I would have recommended going to Kykerhea on Skye and taking the last manually operated turntable ferry in the world over to Glenelg ( mainland )...stunning if weathers good. Bit awkward in parts being mostly single track with blind summits etc but there's great chance to see golden eagles, sea eagles, otters and loads of seals.

There are so many beautiful places it's impossible to stop at them all! You'll love it.. I just hope the weather is good for you. It's been a little gloomy today l, but nothing too bad.
@@davemetcalf8431 looking at the forecast it’s not showing too bad at the minute but we all know they lie!! No matter the weather I am sure will have a great time.

Heading up next week for the first time and really looking forward to it. Added Aardvark castle as I will now call it to my stops on route.
