A better route planner, and plug share are still a million times better than Google Maps. But still good to see Good maps is headed in the right direction (finally)

Thanks for the video. Great update as always.
Curious to know what kind of Rivian service schedule to anticipate? This doesn't seems to be covered by many reviewers out there.

The Tesla adapter you have is good for exactly what? I have an Audi E-tron and I live in South Texas and there's no infrastructure for fast charging here.. I've been waiting for tesla to open their stations to the public for a while now.

Seth I hear ya on the infrastructure. The Rivian plug is not the same as the Tesla plug so I can use the adapter to be able to charge a Non-Supercharger Tesla Stations which are more abundant than Rivian / Charge Point specific chargers.

Great video. I have a Tesla so I haven't worried or had that anxiety plus I have the other adapter so that I can charge on CCS1 networks. The adapter you have is a perfect addition to your kit.
So for those who may not know, the adapter that he has is good for Tesla destination chargers at public areas that have Tesla wall chargers or that friend you have that has a Tesla and a Tesla home wall charger. He'll be able to use his adapter so that he can use those chargers.
On the anxiety side it is awesome that Google now has this feature but two really good apps to get are A Better Route Planner and PlugShare. ABRP will do what your Rivian and the Google maps apps do but more efficiently sometimes. PlugShare is really good at listing many of these destination chargers and out of the way chargers that may not be listed by the other apps or your sat nav since it's more community driven.

Thank you so much for this insight. Greatly appreciated. I will get these two apps.

CHAdeMO is Nissan's DC 'fast' charging option. but if you ask me they are all slow, even Tesla's new 1MW charging. EV charging iz just slow. i love my two EV's tho. i'm sold on EV's but yeah, EV fueling is just slow. but the tech is getting better as the industry matures. So Nissan's CHAdeMO was out before CCS. then American auto manufacturers (fortunately) saw how bad it was to have 2 incompatible plugs in the same EV so they designed a 'Combined Charging Standard' which is CCS. CCS is a smart design. two different plugs and connectors for an EV.. not so smart. (shrug)

I very much agree on the slow. I also love my EV and am waiting for the tech to catch the demand. Thank you for the insight

Have you tried Plug share yet? It's most people's default for BEV charging.

PlugShare has done a good job making their presence in the industry, for where you kan find EV chargers. home and comercial, free and paid. i use both PlugShare and ChargePoint to locate chargers when i plan my distance road trips.
