Maybe introduce it in colleges to enable students to work towards a Six Sigma certification program. So much to learn! I had been to mumbai long ago and as a kid it was so fascinating to watch these guys carrying so many dabbas on trolley like carriers wearing white kurtas and topis, rushing in and out of local trains. I'm just astonished to see how brilliant are they at their jobs! Timely delivery, No holidays, HUGE network, etc. Even "Big" Pizza brands like dominos often fails to deliver pizza in the given time. These guys are way ahead of any GPS and stuff! No maps, no call centre, no website, no phone! Salute :D
Yes understandably. I understand they charge less because they fear they would lose some customers, but I think for a person to survive in city like Mumbai, 6000 RS is very less. I highly appreciate the model, the enthusiasm of the workers, the organizational structure.

Even though his English was a little but shaky, It was a good speech and what he was representing was remarkable. "Work is worship", "customer is god" Would have been great if all other companies had the same belief.
He is much, much better when compared to those individuals who claim that they went to English medium school. Many educated in English medium schools more today, find it difficult to form a sentence in English correctly. When pawan ji came the auditorium was full .. so many students were sitting on the floor to listen him. Before starting of his session all international personalities were taking lightly. All those meals delivered, so cheaply, on time and without mistakes, there are very few companies or services that can claim that. I searched how dabbawala works. And I came to watch this video. Enjoyed alot. Not skipped a single minute.

This could only happen in India. Well done, you should be proud of your Dabbawalas.

A great job on earth i.e. dabbawala service, it is not an ordinary, it is an extra ordinary . A big salute to the organisation one and all, may this service should extend all over India.
