    what exactly is the difference between a suite and a traditional room?

    • @temitopewj
      @temitopewj  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      a suite usually has two bedrooms (two people in each room) that share a bathroom and a traditional room is just a regular dorm you share with usually one roommate (triples and quads exist but doubles are the most common). Traditional rooms don’t have their own bathroom but they have a communal bathroom that they share with their whole floor.
      I hope that helps!!

    Do they provide like anything other than a bed and a small shelf?

    • @temitopewj
      @temitopewj  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes! So in this particular dorm hall, you get a bed, 1-2 shelves/drawers, a countertop, and a desk n chair. Most dorms don’t have the countertop like mine but all dorms usually come with everything else

    I am moving in to the this hall in a month, just wondering is their a kitchen in this hall?

    • @temitopewj
      @temitopewj  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! Yes! There are lounges on each floor and while they don’t have a kitchen, they have a microwave. Then there is also a communal kitchen on the first lobby floor that also has its own microwave but as well as a stove, oven, fridge/freezer albeit most people don’t store their own food there for long unless you want it to get thrown out or taken haha. Hope that helps!

    I’m planning to go to community college for two years then transfer to umd for my third year. Would I be able to live in a dorm?

    • @temitopewj

      Hi! So sorry for the late reply, I'm not entirely sure. I don't believe umd has housing for transfers but I would recommend reaching out to them to be sure. best of luck!

    What is the name of this type of dorm room? I am getting a "New Traditional Single" in PF and don't know if that's the same as this or not lol

    Great video! Are you in freshman dorms?

    • @temitopewj
      @temitopewj  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      obehi Yes, my res hall is open for students of all years! However, it may be harder for freshmen to get into the single rooms because it is their first year.
      Thanks sm for watching! :)

    Where would you recommend a transfer student who want to meet people to live? Apartment? Traditional ? Or suite?

    • @temitopewj
      @temitopewj  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Michael M Hi! Unfortunately, transfer students don’t have access to living on campus. So I would recommend apartments near but off-campus. As far as meeting people, you still would have plenty of chances to meet others - whether that’s through any orgs you join or during your classes!

    Lovely video. Can a grad student apply? Where is the shower and bathroom? :)

    • @temitopewj
      @temitopewj  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks sm! I had a communal bathroom. Unfortunately, grad students can't apply for on campus res halls :(
