I’ve been a silent watcher for many years. One thing I’ve always admired about you is your ability to romanticize the normal, mundane, menial tasks. I really enjoy your content
The domain of the family, the housewife, has always been sacred. It's a tragedy to see it treated as something to be avoided by modern people.

Yes indeed...urban homeschooling mom here! ❤
Romancing the ordinary
Perfectly stated! The voiceovers in her wonderful, relaxing voice are so enjoyable--I suspect her voice reflects her personality 🥰
Sometimes I don't want these videos to end. There, I said it. 😃 Thank you!
Me too!
agreed 🤍

I agree
Ahh me too.
I was just looking a photos of a friend’s birthday and anniversary party. It was glitz and glam and a lot of beautiful people enjoying one another. THIS is what gives me joy-caring for my family. Establishing a good routine. Spending time in my open Bible and loving on my husband and kids and grandkids. Making my home lovely and worshipping together with my brothers and sisters in Christ. Walks in the woods, the morning sunrise, even a beach with my Sweetie every now and again. Seasons. Baking. Cooking a meal. Simple life. I cherish it more and more every day.
Lovely video , my favorite part is when you were sitting by the fire outside with your 3 babies . Seeing you snuggle with them and you loving the moment made me tear up ❤️ God bless you and your beautiful family ✝️✨
Me too. That was just the best!
That was my favorite too.
Your kids are going to grow up and have such wonderful memories of the the sounds of their mama in the kitchen. Sounds of metal measuring cups being filled, spoon taps on bowls, water coming to a boil, stove doors opening and closing, jar lids popping; all sounds of love being poured into the delicious food they’ve tasted throughout their childhoods.
I have these memories from my gramma’s kitchen and they are treasured. ❤
Thanks for sharing your kitchen love.
Thank you!
Such a nice compliment!
@@Laneymac just watching along and then lovely memories came bubbling up. ❤️

I think the culture of consumption steals the joy of being in the beauty of now; autumn decor in August, sparkly chocolate hearts before the new year has even appeared, and so on. Do I dream of the quiet, fly-free, dark days of January when I'm sweating through harvest? Absolutely. Do I moon over photos and videos of loaded lilac trees and dry sunny weather when I'm cracking slab ice off livestock drinkers? Yes. However, as I age, I realize how right your son is about wishing away today; its something I'm trying to be aware of and guard against. Thanks again for a wonderful, comforting peek into your life!! ❤
❤👏❤️
Lisa, your videos give me hope for our society. Please continue to inspire and build your simple way of life, which is as it should be.
Is this the Triple Crown when I get your sister's, your's, and Pine & Prospect all within the hour? What a great way to start the day! Thank you!
What’s her sister’s channel called?

I love watching all your videos for many reason
1. Your voice is calm it helps me unwind at night.
2. It helps my 16 month old fall to sleep
3. During the day when I don’t feel like doing a choir that needs to get done I watch your videos and they motivate me to get it done.
4. Watching you kneading dough or stretch and pull is so satisfying.
5. I’ve been minimizing the amount stuff we own like clothes, home decor, kitchen gadgets, organizing closet bedrooms to only keep what is needed etc…This is definitely one of the biggest changes I’ve made because of you and it feels so good.
My garage sale is going to be so good this year 😂
Thank you!
I love to hear that! Thank you so much.
These breads today were especially decadent!
The images of you with your boys. Wow.❤ We don’t actually get to see you with your kids often (which I respect), so it was especially striking. What a beautiful mother you are!
thank you!
Always so peaceful and calming 🕊️🙂. Love the arrangement ❤.
Thank you! 😊
I’m a retired elementary teacher who will turn 69 this month, and I miss my own adult kids and all my students. There is snow on the ground where I live in Central Oregon, and I’m embracing this slower pace. I’m about to start my sourdough ventures again, as well as jumping on the reading train again. I’m not used to downtime but am learning that it’s ok after years of working and feeding my family a healthy natural diet. I don’t have as much room for a garden but am exploring EarthBoxes. I love your videos!
Listening tour stories is liking reading Laura Engels Wilder books with modern kitchen appliances !!
We're gearing up for a hard freeze...thanks for the content, it gives me motivation to embrace the things that can't be changed, and to find peace in those things ❤
I love how you just go for it - no worries about messes or imperfections! So refreshing. Thank you!
Best kind of floral arrangements are things you find in your own backyard. Sticks and twigs-wild flowers-tall grasses-dried flowers and berries. All the elements you put in your pitcher/vase. 🥰 I love to do the same thing. I make a braided bread with cardamom in it. It’s a recipe from a small Pillsbury cook book I got at the checkout of my grocery store in the 90s lol. I love cardamom.
Your comment made me smile. I fondly remember those little cookbooks. Somewhere, in a box, in storage, sits a few remnants of my collection of them. The photos were gorgeous, and I, too, picked up a few nice recipes courtesy of the “Doughboy”!
I appreciate watching how you love and enjoy doing all the housework and cooking that i don't. I REALLY appreciate it when you find day, easy ways to clean or cook meals , make recipes better for those of us that can't figure out ANYTHING, even with having less children. Omg, you are so strong and amazing!!!!
New sub here. Glad that short popped up that led me here. I'm loving these videos. Your baby boys are so precious!
thank you!
Thank you for sharing your basement. We live in a house built in early 1800's and let say I don't call mine a basement but rather a cellar. It needs lots of work organizing my husband's tools (which he won't allow me to do because then he won't know where they are, lol). But I don't know why I have a complex about having a cellar but that is what we have.
I ❤ seeing your son in the yard collecting things with loppers! I use to pay my kids $1 a bucket of sticks they collected for kindling for the fireplace. It was a great way for them to earn $ for things they ‘wanted’ and they all learned how to create a fire for future warmth/activities. 😊
You are truly inspiring. It’s cold a frosty here in Scotland too, but I love the beauty of Winter
picking catkins and berries for vases is one of my favourite things. I am hoping to try sourdough bread!
I think a lot of us are embracing the slower moths this year. I know I’m enjoying the hibernation time lol. I love watching your videos so comforting and cozy along with inspiring!❤
I truly wish you would show us more of your beautiful children and family because that is your true life.
I LOVE your channel! ❤
The videos are so peaceful and heartwarming! They make me feel a little inadequate, but inspire me to strive to do better making my home as cozy as your beautiful home!!
Maine brown bread is completely different, yours must be more like Irish brown bread. Looks delicious! Maine brown bread is a steamed quick bread made with whole wheat, rye and cornmeal. I don't think there's a possible sourdough adaptation 😅
Okay...I'm the opposite with after Christmas decor....I cannot deal with such an empty feeling in the house....so I leave ANYTHING that could even remotely be considered winter themed. 😂 So, garland, berries, pine cones, red tea towels, candles, etc...even a small tree with white lights and winter ornaments in the dining room...all stay. Maybe I just have a hard time letting go. Lol! 😅
The sight of you with the children by the fire is so cute and heartwarming
I don’t know what it is exactly, but the peace I get from your videos is wonderful. Almost like the peace I get when sitting with the Lord and talking with Him. Not exactly but close. I love the cuddles from the babies and kiddos. I miss my babies. They’re grown and their babies are almost grown. I could totally hang out with your family and soak it all in. It would be like a retreat!😁God continue to bless you and your lovely family♥️😊
When I baked bread, I would set dough to rise under my bread covers. Had a feather duvet at that time
Your family sure benefits from your job in tangible ways!
I grew up in Fl and never experienced winter. Now we live in the N Ga mountains. This is my third winter here, and I’m finally able to enjoy it by doing similar things and embracing the slower lifestyle. I keep reminding myself that summer is always go go go, so relax and savor these quiet moments😁
Isn’t Ga summer, hide inside? It is here in Ms! Lol
Feb - Jun is gogogo then Sept - Nov
Shoot even the other mos are SUNNY usually
@@YeshuaKingMessiah We’re at the top of Ga in the mountains, so summers are beautiful and busy. February is still freezing (especially for my Fl blood) so I’m hiding inside till April😆
@@PlumOrchardFarm I was near u!
An hr west of Chatt, in Tn on AL border, 1/2 mi from my house. It was mild (25 at night but sunny during day almost always, for a couple mos) but if I went up the 1900’ foothill, it was winter up there lol
@@YeshuaKingMessiah Yes! We’re a couple hours away from Chattanooga and love camping there! We’re at 2200’ so to me this is definitely winter lol.
You amaze me! With all your children and caring for your family you make everything from scratch. I get tired just watching you! You’re an inspiration to many. My husband always says that no candle can take the place of a home that’s filled with good cooking. Lol! Your family is blessed to have you!
You with your little boys at the fireside about brought tears... it's all worth it. Such a sweet scene.
im only 17 but this, this is what I want my life to be like
Peaceful. Celebrating women and their strength and beauty. I'm an RN working with midwives. Births make me so happy. Gardening is my other love.
I have long enjoyed the months of January and February for their calmer rhythms, comfort foods, cold weather et all……❄️🧤🔥☕️☃️
I look forward to Fridays to watching you and your sisters videos Lisa. Thank you for your hard work. I appreciate your content.
Thank you so much!
My mom used to find things outdoors-stalks of cotton, wild grasses, and create things of beauty. This is one of my favorite memories of her, and she probably didn’t realize I noticed. M-m-m🙂
Lisa, a great hack for cleaning wax from glass is to put the jar in the freezer for a while. Then it pops right off with a little jiggle of a knife. Great for cleaning out and reusing pretty candle jars.
A little helpful bit of info, if you get wax on anything or need to remove wax from the jar place it upside down in the freezer and it will just slide out. I like to reuse candle bowls and it has always worked like a charm
Great tip!
There’s a world you take us to in your videos that sets the tone of curling up with our iPad and a cup of tea and totally relaxing and enjoying every second of your videos….it’s definitely something I look forward to with each of your beautiful videos💜!
Thank you!!

I love Winter! It's a much needed break from the busy-ness of April through October.
Beautiful dried arrangement! 💕

I am loving and enjoying your videos.
your jug of "dead stuff" is delightful!
You make a lovely home.

The Swedish bakers also use quite a bit of Hagelslag, which is Dutch chocolate granuals on top of their rolls and bread slices. This may be something you'd like to research and experiment with. It's really tasty 😋
Thanks for the tip!
This was such a pleasant video. I appreciated the candle idea.
The new brown bread looks wonderful! Loving the recipes with freshly milled wheat 😊
Love this. That brown bread and those buns look soooo good!
Everything you make looks so elegant and delicious. Thank you for making these calming videos 😌
Thank you for another peaceful, lovely video. We are having a blizzard right now, and your video is making it feel even cozier in my home today. Blessings to you and yours, friend.
Yum! Wish I were there to enjoy some of your delicious looking bread and buns. I Always enjoy your videos. 😃👍🏻
Your brown bread reminds me of pumpernickel. I haven't had that in so long and it's so delicious! Love this video!
Lisa, I look forward to your vlogs whenever you post them. Every time I'm in awe of how you make homesteading seem like a well oiled machine. Summer is my favourite season too. I always wish it was eternally summer. I don't wish it were colder in the summer at all either. The floral arrangement was amazing. Victor seems to be growing up so soon. The snuggling by the fire with your babies was so wholesome. I look forward to your basement changes vlog. I also believe in declutter and minimalism a lot. Have an amazing winter season ❤
Winter us a time for being cozy and calm. You’re a baker extraordinaire.
I needed this today. Thank you✨
You're so welcome!
