I hope you don't mind me saying...if you find this interesting, I think that you might enjoy a book titled "Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers." By Mary Roach. Not only does it have an extensive chapter on this, it is interesting and informative. Your channel is amazing!

What language are the subtitles in? It looks vaguely Dutch, but doesn't help me understand the story!

    Thank you for this presentation.
But it really, really disgusts me to be constantly reminded how society and justice discriminate and protect wealth and fame.
Cooper got the same reward for his crime as Knox in Edinburgh: more applaud and recognition.

Notice how the commoners who did the body snatching are held up as criminals; but there was rarely, if ever, action against the surgeons. If not for the surgeons' driving the "market", none of the snatchers would have bothered. A peculiar business.

Mixed feelings come from this episode. Medical science needs people to practice on, living and dead. For that reason, I have signed my remains over for as much organ donation as it can give. But when my wife died, and I turned her over for such dismemberment (she felt strongly about this) the next week or so gave me a queasy feeling, as my imagination could not resist occasional thoughts about her fate.
The key is consent, of both the deceased and bereaved.

I can’t hate the guys they were played by actors I love and the doctor…what could he do at that time? It was wrong what he did, but seriously he, like all doctors must have felt desperate. Or maybe he was a psycho. Lol He must have moved biology 50 or more years along. More because they changed the law.
The real thing that bothers me besides the murders as much as I love Simon Pegg and Andy Serkis is I wish they could have taken the bodies in a way the families would not find out. They should have been more careful. The person is dead so they can’t care, but families were hurt.

Can't help but remember a riddle. Why did the town erect a fence around the cemetery? Answer: Everyone was dying to get in. I'll see myself out now.
