Was a Colts fan bk. in 67.' 10 yrs. old. Survived S.Bowl III and the "Midnight Move." Still love that horse shoe! Gotta get Mike Curtis #32 (Mad Dog) in the HOF. They're probably still uptight about him clobbering that ball stealing fan in the Miami game. I thought it was cool.
This season was amazing to watch, as a kid. Or even as an adult, now that I think about it. The way the young Colts chased down the once great Dolphins was incredible. Wow this is awesome.
That was pretty cool seeing the " bowling ball " Don Nottingham get loose for a good run. For some reason he was always one of my favorite players when he was with the Dolphins.
1970s were the greatest teams in NFL history. Talented black and white players. Not just white or just blacks Miami, Pittsburgh, Oakland & Baltimore greatest teams in NFL history
The Giants subverted the numbering system by listing Van Pelt as a reserve kicker in 1973. And the NFL was not as stringent about making players switch numbers when switching positions as they were later.
@@jeffsmith2022 Yes, people don't realize the defensive culture from the 80s started with Van Pelt, Carson, Martin, Kelley, Mendenhall, etc. The O-line was hard to understand with Hicks and Mullen regressing every year and Van Horn holding claim as the best of the bunch.
Not a good time period to be a NY football fan. Giants were terrible for most of the 70s. I almost forgot how bad they were. B Jones was damn good. I remember
When the Jets moved the Meadowlands to share the stadium with the Giants, I reminded Giants fans, that they shared a stadium with the Jets! This is proof. Not a Jets fan. Just can't stand Giants fans.
@@DNSKansas That would simply make it an important game from AFC East point of view. The phrase "game of the week" has always implied a highly competitive game, regardless of whether a division championship was at stake.
My favorite time was the 70s for NFL. Every team had a great qb and rb. Awsome defenses
Daniel McKean I’m right there with you.
So glad I grew up in the 70s.

I remember watching this weekend. The Bills/Dolphins game was the 4PM EST game on WKYC in Cleveland. This is great seeing this stuff yet again.

Joe Ehrmann was the cover on the first pack of football cards i ever got

Agree. '76 Patriots were a great team as were '78 and '79 Oilers.
Stan White was attending law school while playing for the BALTIMORE COLTS!! He later became a lawyer!
Weird seeing the nyg play @shea stadium as the home team.
In 1975, Shea Stadium was the home of the Mets, Jets, Yankees and Giants
sounds like Harry Kalas...RIP
A great time to be a colts fan!!
Miami wins east if Griese doesn't get hurt. 1975 was Shula's best coaching job.
The Sack Pack!!! Fred Cook, Mike Barnes, John Dutton, and Joe Ehrman!!
Those Giants helmets are so sweet. Too bad they were only used for only one season
They were indeed SWEET. Should wear them as a throwback every year, or go back to them full time.
Yep, I remember them, we used to call them the Disco helmets, they were kool, but only lasted one year.
I like them too. Was just about to post this.
Freddie Scott!! How the BALTIMORE COLTS could trade him! Roger Carr, Shake and Bake Glen Doughty and Freddie Scott made a great trio of WR's!
Definitely one of the most brutal Giants teams
I always thought it was weird seeing Van Pelt, a linebacker, wear #10.

Joe Dawkins, Walker Gillette, Ray Rhodes.... Would it have killed the Maras to pick up one or two decent offensive players between 1975-79?
Amen, not to mention the very rotten O. line...had some pretty good players on the D....

Just noticed your avatar. Freddie D. another one that got away; probably grew his sideburns too long for Wellington.
@@gslep11 Not to mention them holding on to Larsen and Young too long.
@@jeffsmith2022 John Hicks was hurt all the time, so that really crippled the o-line. #2 overall pick in '74.
NFL at its best.
So what’s the deal with the NFL using 2 different footballs in these 2 games?
Prior to 1976, balls with stripes were permitted for night games in the NFL.

Bills got totally robbed on that fumble. Still pissed off about that.
Why is the video shaky?
Didn't matter what Uniform Craig Morton wore he stunk in all of them.lol
He had good years in Denver. Unfortunately, Red Miller, disappointed in Mortons performance in the super bowl, tried replacing him every year.
Stan White was a very under appreciated player. always around the ball
Nice turf at Shea. Jesus.
Giants, Jets, Mets, Yankees all used the stadium that year. Lucky anything could grow after that much use.
@@wr70beh that's right. Forgot Yankees did.
Joe Ferguson was a great QB
No, no he wasn't. Go look at his career stats. He was average at best...
My Giants 🤦🏻♂️

Why was the Colts-Giants game part of the "game of the week" highlights?-- the Giants didn't score a single point!
Because the Colts and Dolphins were tied for first in the AFC East and played each other in week 13
@@DNSKansas That would simply make it an important game from AFC East point of view. The phrase "game of the week" has always implied a highly competitive game, regardless of whether a division championship was at stake.
How is a 21-0 Colt win over a shit bag Giants team a “game of the week”? Must have been a bad week
video juts too much
I know, couldn't truly enjoy it.
He wasn't any good Morton good riddance
Mercury fumbled NFL been fixing for sometime now.
???????
Daisyno2 NFL is a bisiness NOT open competition...owners know Superbowl champ before 1 game is even played...I know disappointing
maybe I should have asked what drugs your on?
Daisyno2 you should start using something to get you out of that fucked up state of mind your stuck in.
