Beautiful New Orleans uniforms. A deep, burnished gold helmet - not the platinum looking gold they have now. Black, striped pants and socks - super cool!
I found your comment interesting, and so I did a bit of research. Although SBIII was the shining point of his career, he did register wins over winning record teams late in the 74 season against the Patriots and Dolphins, and one with the Rams... but injuries and poor teams didn’t help his stats later in his career...
Kind of funny Candlestick Park with artificial turf, even though for years & years they played on horrible turf like Municipal Stadium, Memorial Stadium, & RFK Stadium!
Hank was really a product of the AFL. His "offense of the 70s" as it was called after his Chiefs triumph in SB IV was not effective upon the 1970 merger and he never won a single playoff game, appearing only once, as as "ground and pound" ruled the day.
@@primateproductions126 For certain that was a fumble and also was instrumental in bringing about instant replay. But Denver's Jack Dolbin also caught what appeared to be a touchdown pass while rolling on the ground that was ruled incomplete but sure looked pretty legit that he caught it so there were two contreversial plays in that game.

Raiders at Steelers - whoa! Battle of The Hell's Angels, lol. Miami still in their washed out unis - a kind of grey/green. They would switch to a gorgeous Ocean Blue by the early 80's.
graciemaemarie11 jones I don't remember the score, but Miami's O-line and Czonka too much for the Vikes. Vikings weren't physically big on defense, but rather, fast and aggressive. Dolphins overpowered them with size, just as Kansas City did in the '69 super bowl.
@@tommythomason6187 Miami rolled Minnesota 24-7 in Super Bowl VIII AND the Dolphins official colors are Aqua, Orange and White, basically unchanged since 1966.
ESPECIALLY since by 1977, the bad blood had given to legitimate mutual respect by the two teams. The Raiders had to beat Pittsburgh when it mattered for them to give them their due. And it was the last meeting between the two teams in the decade...fitting since it was Oakland's last postseason team of the 70's.
70's...by FAR the best era in NFL History! When players were beyond tough!!!
ABSOLUTELY agree-thank you!!!
NFL & college football 🏈 schedule too long:: football players are too big & strong
❤ tom laundry: don shula : bud grant great NFL coaches
I recall great 1970's season/playoff games but Super Bowls were commonly a Boring Bowl!
The music at the beginnig and where it says "This is the NFL" , brought such deep nostalgia. What a fantastic era of life. When football was REAL.
so cool seeing the steelers and oakland players showing each other some respect. Wish the sound was working.
DITTO !!!
a steeler fan musta killed the sound
Classic times 🌈 I was 14 in 1977. Loved The Vikes 🏈 Heartbreak Hotel 😳 Tony Dorsett was one of THE VERY BEST ⚡️💪🐝

I am with you. I hate most of the uniforms in NFL today.
With that sweet looking Honolulu Blue and Silver of the Lions, that was a game of the great uniforms.
Absolutely right! Wished Stram had at least another year to coach, the '78 team was very competitive.
Love this. what about 1980 thru 86.
Stram with that rug in the thumbnail lmao.
These videos are sort of painfully nostalgic.
Chargers kicker Rolf Benirschke went on to host Wheel of Fotrune after his playing career ended.
Namath's last win over a team with a winning record was in SB III, so anyone expecting him to do anything in 1977 was delusional.

Yeah, that looked WEIRD. It was hard to tell WHERE they were playing b/c of the turf.
Falcons road uniforms....awesome..bring back the red
Why does it lose sound when the Raiders-Steelers highlights come on?
Overall, the editing of the music in this one is choppy. Many of the pieces end abruptly, or abruptly shortened.
Cause the announcer is an eagles fan,and is jealous....
@@gregoryfreeman2269 yep.total shit video.
Probably because, no doubt, one of the players from either of those ferocious defense knocked the sound guy out.
I think this James Harris guys is really gonna be a special QB for the Chargers.
lol lol...
He was solid for L.A. Rams in 74 and 75.
Fouts held out until week 11. He was very fortunate Cardinals fired Coryell and he was able to salvage his career and became a Hall of Famer
Pioneer black quarterback in NFL
I love the narrators voice
HANK STRAM, DID THAT TOUPEE COME WITH A CHIN STRAP?
FRED ROGERS caps lock is cruise control for cool
Week two and Harris at QB for SD

Hank Stram never met a camera he didnt like.
James Harris was cool. Trump thought he didn’t possess the “intelect” to be QB

1977 the Miracle season for my Denver Broncos, great memories!!!!

They had a great year but the Raiders got screwed in the championship game. Lytle fumbled that ball diving into the end zone.
