Congrats on noticing how amazing Haruna is right off the bat. All are great but her drumming is really the most unique in addition to ungodly endurance.
as many great japanese girl groups that there are LOVEBITES imo are head and shoulders above the rest. all of their songs are this good and better and they write them all . the 2 lead guitarists miyako and midori are so amazing they should not even be allowed to play in the same band together and are the best duo to come along in the last 30 years. and drummer haruna is a machine that never stops. you are in for an unforgettable experience in every song if you continue with them. a couple of commenters left you the link for 'holy war' below so i will leave a link for another song by these ladies - best live band you may ever see. the song is 'set the world on fire'. live from last year : th-cam.com/video/99zsH6iG_6c/w-d-xo.html
LOVEBITES - Shadowmaker lyrics: Caught in the noise, my thoughts are destroyed Trapped in the silence, it's so hard to breathe But still I go on, my hunger is strong Hoping that someone will grab my hand Stranded by moonlight I realize the cold of this world Maybe it's too late? No one can save me From all of the darkness and solitude Cry, like shadows of the night I carry all the pain inside to justify why I'm alive Despite going through this hell Cause still my heart has hope No matter if I'm torn apart, I'll play my part Before I drown with secret thoughts of my heart Reckless and fast, how long will I last? Dancing like puppets, I'm empty inside Fighting the fear, and grieving the dear Hoping that someday I'll be repaid Only my echoing heartbeats can prove that I'm here Am I all alone? Even a faint light is too bright for me, I can't see a thing Hide, in shadows I reside I tremble like a heartless soul, no place to go In desolated land knowing no escape But still I wish to live Just waiting for a somebody to notice me Before I fall down to depths of the abyss Caught in the noise, my thoughts are destroyed Trapped in the silence, it's so hard to breathe But still I go on, my hunger is strong Hoping that someone will grab my hand Stranded by moonlight I realize the cold of this world Maybe it's too late? Welcome to Lovebites and the wolfpack. These ladies kill it on every song, and as you already can tell their drummer is a beast. Their two lead guitarists are among the best ever. But to really experience them you need to see them perform live. Now do "Holy War" and use this link for the live show: th-cam.com/video/bgAxpEpEcno/w-d-xo.html

Lovebites blends power/speed/thrash/heavy metal, a majority of influences coming from the 80"s. They create masterpieces for which you never know what mix you're going to get. Elite/Prodigy level all the way around. Haruna the drummer keeps that pace up for an entire concert, and makes it look effortless throughout. You've only scratched the surface.
This music video is one of the early works of LOVEBITES, which was recorded in their first full album (released in October 2017). Originally, the music video was interrupted to announce the release date of the first album and the schedule of the concert tour. They deleted the unnecessary parts from this MV and reuploaded it about 4 months ago. By the way, the MV of "The Crusade" (June 2018) is also a re-upload. In addition, their sound sources are sent to Finnvox Studios, a long-established and top-notch studio in Finland, where they are mixed and mastered by Mikko Carmila and Mika Jussila, respectively. They are a Finnish dream engineer team that has worked on numerous works by heavyweights in the Nordic metal scene such as NIGHTWISH, CHILDREN OF BODOM, STRATOVARIUS and AMORPHIS.
That drummer (Haruna), is 4' 9" and her pace is un-matced. Her ability to sustain that speed for a full show is ridiculous! Love the react! Definitely check out their live stuff. Know someone recommended Holy War, also suggest Thunder Vengeance live 2020. Show opener and a F banger and a half!! 🐺🦊
Unless you are trying to describe their sound to someone who has never heard of them, there is no reason to try and categorize their music. Even though the majority of their music is similar to power metal these ladies have a way of combining many different metal genres into all their songs. They take the best of thrash metal, power metal, speed metal, symphonic metal, and progressive metal and meld it together into a new sound. Plus they also do traditional rock and ballads too. Each member is multi-talented. They are a top tier band out of Japan and have their sights set on the world. That's why all their songs are sung in English.

Great reaction! Lovebites is the best band in the world...for me. This is love from the first sight. They are so talented. Their music is awesome. Asami's singing blows me away. They always wear white clothes. Almost all their songs have long solos and duoling solos. Definitely you should check them more. Their music videos are really good, but their live performances are amazing. I have recomended them to you since your first reaction to Nemophila. You have to listen their songs "Holy war" and "Set the world on fire". You will be impressed. Thank you for your reaction. More reactions to Lovebites! And welcome to the Wolfpack! Lovebites is the BEST. They are a supergroup of amazing talent. All of them. In one band. We lost our bass player last year. We all cried about it. New bass player will be announced any day now. Wolfpack has already picked her, but we are not sure she's locked-in yet. When they announce her..... wolfpack is going to explode.
Glad you enjoyed that appetizer from LOVEBITES and that you picked out Haruna (drums) for praise. Most get blown away by the guitars (understandably) but what Haruna does with her drums is equally awesome. Hope to join you for the main courses. 🤘🤘🤘🤘
That drummer (Haruna) can take the same pace all over a 3 hours concert! Thanks for your reaction and welcome to the Wolfpack!! 🐺🤘🏻 Try with “Holy War” live next m.th-cam.com/video/bgAxpEpEcno/w-d-xo.html

Haruna (the drums) it's not a humain she is surely imported from another planet she is FANTASTIC and fantastic it's a poor word , and ALL THE BAND ARE AMAZING Asami Miho Mjihaco Midori are so great and so professional, i keep having so much fun to see the talent they have all of them . Long live to Lovebites
Thus song was my gateway to J metal. This is metal perfection. Best pure metal band on the planet right now. Old school influence with modern sound. Holy Wars live is a must.
Welcome to the best new metal band to come along in decades. In their five years of existence as a band, they set a standard that easily puts them on a par with the greatest bands of metal’s golden age. Other reviewers have described them as alien superheroes disguised as young women, angels sent to save us, princesses of metal, and angry bridesmaids. Whatever the description, I think one can say they have given metal a badly needed makeover and maybe a new lease on life. They have themselves said that part of their mission is to save heavy metal from darkness and obscurity. Some background: They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief headbanger and soul of the band) had a vision of a new band in the style of the greatest European bands of the golden age of metal. She recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" “pocket nuclear reactor”); they needed two world-class guitarists, and so they went and found Midori and Miyako, who were with other bands. The whole group then found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time (she also trained in ballet). Miyako has composed most of their music, with Miho composing a lot of their thrashier songs in collaboration with Mao, the lead composer of another band called Lightbringer. Midori has also been getting into the act, and they regularly perform a song written by Haruna as well. Asami writes most of the lyrics. They studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Helloween, Slayer etc. They toured with Dragonforce in 2019, and word from those in attendance is that next time around, it will be the ladies headlining. They have incorporated some of the best of each of those bands into their arsenal, and have created a sound that is fresh and cutting edge while paying tribute to the old masters. This is one of their usual first songs for reactors, and rightly so--you get a good sense of the band. It is also the one that really blew up and brought them to the world. They do everything from soulful power ballads to heavy thrash. Almost every song includes face-melting solos by Miyako and Midori. The two guitarists are quite different in style and tone. Midori (blonde ponytail) is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel (though she can also shred like a demon). Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The contrast makes their duets rich and dynamic. It doesn’t hurt that either one can smoke most of the shredders in the classic metal bands. As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band." Here are more clips you should check out: Their most recently posted live clips, “Set the World on Fire” th-cam.com/video/99zsH6iG_6c/w-d-xo.html and “Don’t Bite the Dust” th-cam.com/video/oHnKGEj1CMc/w-d-xo.html, which are both from their recently released concert DVD “Heavy Metal Never Dies”. "Edge of the World" and "We the United", back to back: th-cam.com/video/sl0-U-ykJCU/w-d-xo.html They form an incredible journey from darkness and despair to light and hope. Also, “Empty Daydream”, which starts as a ballad and becomes a real rocker: th-cam.com/video/lXh_uMM94jU/w-d-xo.html; “Holy War”: th-cam.com/video/bgAxpEpEcno/w-d-xo.html Miyako is also a professional-level concert pianist, and was headed for a career in classical music, before picking up the guitar. If you want to see what she can do on the piano, watch “Swan Song” WITH the prelude, which is Chopin’s “Revolutionary Etude” (official name Étude Opus 10, No. 12 in C minor). Miyako wrote “Swan Song” using elements from several classical pieces including the Etude. This link should work: th-cam.com/video/WBhtqgiXEA4/w-d-xo.html. For a thrasher with heavy Slayer and Metallica vibes, “Break the Wall” th-cam.com/video/G021aP2ao6Y/w-d-xo.html includes two gorgeous and completely contrasting solos by M&M. For a heart-stopping ballad, “Epilogue” th-cam.com/video/1ynnXDfEnnY/w-d-xo.html (this includes a second song, your choice whether or not to react to both) Finally, while you will sometimes hear you should only react to live clips, actually their MV’s are epic and worth seeing. Here are three more of the most spectacular: "When Destinies Align" th-cam.com/video/hLFelI93VkM/w-d-xo.html "Glory to the World" th-cam.com/video/-wJtD2XEXH4/w-d-xo.html "Winds of Transylvania" th-cam.com/video/HsE4Ub_Pjh8/w-d-xo.html. You'll get lots of suggestions, just one thing: don't bother with Bloodstock footage, the sound quality is poor. Best to take suggestions with actual links. Also, you can’t go wrong with any of their official clips. Welcome to the Wolf-Pack!
I always look forward to reading your comment to a new Lovebites reactor. I will say though that I would not be surprised that in the near future MIyako, as a side project, releases an album of her playing the music of her favorite classical piano composers. There still might be a part-time career for her in classical music. She has expressed that desire herself.
Lovebites only know one speed...FAST!!!! I don't recall ever hearing a slow song from them but I don't think I've heard their entire discography yet. They really do kick ass and take no prisoners. All of these ladies can play their instruments extremely well (that may be an understatement haha!). I love that twin guitar attack with the duelling solos! I wouldn't call them symphonic metal though, since there are no strings...they're more power/heavy metal than anything IMO. For my suggestion, I'm gonna slow things down a bit with a very Sabbath-inspired female-fronted band called Lucifer with their retro sounding song Midnight Phantom (th-cam.com/video/SwAF-9m12Ms/w-d-xo.html). Cheers! 🤘😆🤘 Edit...Are the Bengals gonna win the Superbowl this year? They came close to going to the big dance last year...should be an interesting season. 🏈🏈🏈🏈
Can you please react to Matt Corby “Brother- Live for like a version” it’s absolutely incredible and guarantee you will go down the Matt Corby rabbit hole- most unbelievable singer out there and this performance is INSANE!
Chaz, you are not ready for Break the wall or Hammer of wrath.. If you feel you are, make sure there is first aid on had.. lol Great reaction as always.. I have another one for you... Hagane with Super villan use this link.. th-cam.com/video/MCqzm0nUxbM/w-d-xo.html It's almost 7 minutes long and it's going to blow you away... Best wishes from France
Although they play pretty much of power/thrash/speed metal, they still play all kinds of metal and even ballads and hard rock. They are so versatile, they sometimes write and play songs based on classic music. The guitarist with a white guitar who played the first solo is about 5 foot tall and has small hands but her fingers work like a spider. And the drummer, she has power of grizzly and stamina of nuke power station but only 4'9" tall. Try their live performances. Edge of the World th-cam.com/video/UZjxMjBop7w/w-d-xo.html. BTW, the blond guitarist in the clip is the one with the fingers of the spider in Shadowmaker MV.
sadly not symph metal (they have all the skill and knowledge to do that on high level but it's not popular in Japan), it is powermetal (bands like Helloween, Dragonforce, Rhapsody aso) so super fast instrumentation, uplifting music and lyrics (great music to slay some dragons with emerald sword :D )
@@chasalbert5113 There is no reason to try and categorize their music because even though the majority of their music is similar to power metal these ladies combine so many different metal genres into all their songs. @@chasalbert5113 A lot of reactors put the power metal label on Lovebites because the first song they hear is one called Holy War. It is one of the few songs not written by a member of Lovebites. It was written by a keyboardist/songwriter named named Mao who was in a very good Japanese power metal band called Lightbringer that ended in 2014. He collaborates with Miho, Asami and Midori in songwriting (Miyako has yet to work with Mao) and has written 5 of their songs solo. To me they are just a great heavy metal band in the old school sense. Miho wanted a NWOBHM type band and that is exactly what she created. As Asami always very emphatically yells at shows - "We are Lovebites and we play HEAVY METAL". Boy do they ever.

Thank D G for the comment..I will react to another Lovebites for sure..right now I do photography work on the side and am really busy because of the holidays. I went from doing a video a day to a video a week. This is my first time being this busy with my photography so I am struggling to keep up😅😄. Thanks for the support And I will get to the videos soon 💪🏻🔥💪🏻
A video that breaks up the song inappropriately and doesn't convey its charm. If you stop the solo in the middle, it will be ruined. Don't you know it's a song with a precise structure?
What's with the habit of interrupting a song and commenting so many times? 🤔 Maybe first listen and watch the video to the end, and only then share your impressions ?! When the reactor interrupts the solo, this is an indicator that he does not understand music well. Interrupting a solo several times is generally a crime. 🤫The fewer times you stop a song, the better you feel and understand it. But for some reason, many run ahead of the engine, expressing their opinion before they fully listened (watched) the song.
This is not symphonic metal and nightwish only wish they could be this good, genre or no genre comparison. Asami is not an operatic singer and compared to the ladies of nightwish she will blow them off stage. This is barely your first song judge afterward when you are maybe 3 songs in and notice the huge difference, on a side note Haruna the drummer can keep that same pace for 2 hours, 19 straight songs, and not break a sweat. The members of the band call her "The little big engine", many of these guys will always steer you to do the songs that are more popular and that are being used as mainstream media (Holy War, Set the World on Fire) I say go a different route down your journey with Lovebites. Start with their first album or second EP 1st album The Awakening/Hammer of Wrath th-cam.com/video/otJZPUCwyOM/w-d-xo.html 2nd EP Break the Wall th-cam.com/video/5Pc0XK0lNmU/w-d-xo.html
I appreciate your passion for Lovebites. I am a huge fan also. I also agree they are not symphonic metal and Asami is not an operatic singer. What I don't understand is your unnecessary and bizarre bashing of Nightwish. Nightwish is a great band and Tuomas and Miyako have a lot in common. In fact, I would love the two of them to compose a song together someday. Asami is a great singer but she would not blow Floor Jansen off the stage. That is pure silly. I can't think of a singer that could blow her off the stage. Likely Asami would look at you like you were crazy for that claim. My advice, write your comments with the same grace as the ladies of Lovebites that you so understandably adore. Fans like you do them no favors. Dial down the passion and dial up the common sense. I do agree with your recommendation of Break The Wall, the only song likely to ever be cowritten by Miho and Miyako.
@@danw6048 There is nothing in common between Nightwish and Lovebites, Tuomas and Miyako. Nightwish is a group promoted by teenagers, Lovebites is appreciated by people who are sophisticated and versed in music, music lovers with experience. In Lovebites, virtuoso musicians, in Nightwish, former schoolchildren from a remote Finnish village, barely coping with their instruments. Miyako is a classically trained pianist and an outstanding guitarist. Tuomas' proficiency with the instrument is so low that it is not shown on video. And he has no musical education, as, indeed, the rest of the band members, with the exception of the first vocalist Tarja. Thanks to Tarja, they gained fame and commercial success. Lovebites have complex rich music, Nightwish has simple pop melodies, simple arrangements that are accessible to the perception of teenagers.
@@dymyavalor6135 I am not going to talk about your opinion of their musical ability. The people who have heard Nightwish are perfectly capable of making up their own mind. What you or I say really means nothing on something so subjective. I will discuss some of the "facts" you spout in your comment. First, the three original core of Nightwish are from Kitee, Finland. The population is about 10,000 which is not huge but it is definitely not a "remote Finnish village". In fact it is the 3rd largest city in all of North Karelia, a very large region of eastern Finland. Besides, the entire population of Finland is less than 6 million. As far as music education, I guess you don't know that Tuomas started on the piano and has never stopped, learned to play both the sax and clarinet, attended the Savonlinna Academy of Music for at least 11 years, has been taught and mentored by Plamen Dimov since he was 18, and played in at least 4 bands before starting what became Nightwish. Floor Jansen was a musical theatre kid in high school (like one of my children), was part of the inaugural class of the Rock Academy in Tilburg where she studied for 3 years before moving on to the Conservatorium. and she was a voice teacher for several years. I do agree that Tarja had much to do with their early success but so did the musicianship and certainly the song writing. I was one of those who stopped listening to Nightwish when Tarja was no longer part of the band. I didn't return to Nightwish until Endless Forms came out. In my opinion Nightwish became one of the best live bands in the world during the Floor/Marco years.
@@TheCyberMantis I also started listening to Nightwish when Tarja was with them and stopped listening to them when she was not. I listened to no Nightwish for 10 years. I was back on board when I heard Endless Forms and the voice of Floor Jansen. I have to agree with your assessment of Emppu. He is a good guitar player but his limitations is one of the reasons Marco was so important and probably why Troy is with them. I am afraid their glory days as a live band began with Floor joining but ended when Marco left.
welcome to the world of Lovebites the world of beautiful ballads, heavy, power, speed, thrash metal.

LOVEBITES - Shadowmaker lyrics:
Caught in the noise, my thoughts are destroyed
Trapped in the silence, it's so hard to breathe
But still I go on, my hunger is strong
Hoping that someone will grab my hand
Stranded by moonlight I realize the cold of this world
Maybe it's too late?
No one can save me
From all of the darkness and solitude
Cry, like shadows of the night
I carry all the pain inside to justify why I'm alive
Despite going through this hell
Cause still my heart has hope
No matter if I'm torn apart, I'll play my part
Before I drown with secret thoughts of my heart
Reckless and fast, how long will I last?
Dancing like puppets, I'm empty inside
Fighting the fear, and grieving the dear
Hoping that someday I'll be repaid
Only my echoing heartbeats can prove that I'm here
Am I all alone?
Even a faint light is too bright for me, I can't see a thing
Hide, in shadows I reside
I tremble like a heartless soul, no place to go
In desolated land knowing no escape
But still I wish to live
Just waiting for a somebody to notice me
Before I fall down to depths of the abyss
Caught in the noise, my thoughts are destroyed
Trapped in the silence, it's so hard to breathe
But still I go on, my hunger is strong
Hoping that someone will grab my hand
Stranded by moonlight I realize the cold of this world
Maybe it's too late?
No one can save me from solitude
Cry, like shadows of the night
I tremble like a heartless soul, no place to go
In desolated land knowing no escape
But still I wish to live
Just waiting for a somebody to notice me
Before I fall down to depths of the abyss
Like shadows of the night
I carry all the pain inside to justify why I'm alive
Despite going through this hell
Cause still my heart has hope
No matter if I'm torn apart, I'll play my part
Before I drown with secret thoughts of my heart

Welcome to Lovebites and the wolfpack. These ladies kill it on every song, and as you already can tell their drummer is a beast. Their two lead guitarists are among the best ever. But to really experience them you need to see them perform live. Now do "Holy War" and use this link for the live show: th-cam.com/video/bgAxpEpEcno/w-d-xo.html

HARUNA !!! HARUNA !!! HARUNA !!! 🤘🐺🤘
Ok thanks AHODORI for the feedback and explaining their background 👍👍I love clarification on bands it helps me better understand their story!! 🔥🔥

and D G means all through tow hour full show.
Haruna is a machine!
I foresee a very successful US/European tour for Lovebites next year
Ladies are the best but live they are more than the best.

Glad you enjoyed that appetizer from LOVEBITES and that you picked out Haruna (drums) for praise. Most get blown away by the guitars (understandably) but what Haruna does with her drums is equally awesome. Hope to join you for the main courses. 🤘🤘🤘🤘

Some background:
They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981).
As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band." Here are more clips you should check out:
Their most recently posted live clips, “Set the World on Fire” th-cam.com/video/99zsH6iG_6c/w-d-xo.html and “Don’t Bite the Dust” th-cam.com/video/oHnKGEj1CMc/w-d-xo.html, which are both from their recently released concert DVD “Heavy Metal Never Dies”.
"Edge of the World" and "We the United", back to back: th-cam.com/video/sl0-U-ykJCU/w-d-xo.html They form an incredible journey from darkness and despair to light and hope.
Also, “Empty Daydream”, which starts as a ballad and becomes a real rocker: th-cam.com/video/lXh_uMM94jU/w-d-xo.html;
“Holy War”: th-cam.com/video/bgAxpEpEcno/w-d-xo.html
Miyako is also a professional-level concert pianist, and was headed for a career in classical music, before picking up the guitar.
For a heart-stopping ballad, “Epilogue” th-cam.com/video/1ynnXDfEnnY/w-d-xo.html (this includes a second song, your choice whether or not to react to both)
Finally, while you will sometimes hear you should only react to live clips, actually their MV’s are epic and worth seeing. Here are three more of the most spectacular:
"When Destinies Align" th-cam.com/video/hLFelI93VkM/w-d-xo.html
"Glory to the World" th-cam.com/video/-wJtD2XEXH4/w-d-xo.html
"Winds of Transylvania" th-cam.com/video/HsE4Ub_Pjh8/w-d-xo.html.
@@danw6048 That would be wonderful, of course.

Cheers! 🤘😆🤘

@@ChadTheDragonLord yeah they are mix of a different types of music…impossible to pin them down to a singular style!!💪🏻🔥🔥

Start with their first album or second EP
1st album The Awakening/Hammer of Wrath th-cam.com/video/otJZPUCwyOM/w-d-xo.html
2nd EP Break the Wall th-cam.com/video/5Pc0XK0lNmU/w-d-xo.html
I was into Nightwish back when they had Tarja on vocals. Nightwish weak link was always Emppu. He's not a shredder, but he can play some chunky riffs.
