I took a test ride today on the new Himalayan 450. The engine truly stood out; it's noticeably smoother and more powerful, especially in terms of torque, with a distinct pumping sensation at initial RPMs. The suspension feels comfortable, and the brakes are significantly improved compared to the 411. Additionally, it's much friendlier for shorter riders like me (165cm). I had the opportunity to ride a machine that's continually used for testing, and amazingly, no heating issues were found. I consider the price reasonable, although I'm eagerly anticipating the tubeless version."

My brother is also hooked to your motorcycle videos, Shumi. 😊 We are not planning on any upgrades/mods yet, neither to go with the tubeless tyres. What’s your opinion on the “puncture resistant slime/resin” to go with the tubed tyres? Thanks!
When i saw that 1hr long video, my feeling at the end of it was that it's a 4 min video stretched into a 1hr long expression of feelings. And this one makes me feel good about my initial thoughts 😀 I still feel 20-30min is an apt duration for sharing most thoughts/feelings. Or may be for every hour long discussion (or anything over 40min), there can be a similar follow up video which could be 10min or so with the most imp details from the longer one.

1. How hard is the clutch, does it require one to sweat it in the gym to be able to use this clutch on long tours like the older one? 2. how is the top speed and the vibration, at what speed does the vibration start to make your hands feel numb?
I think the motorinc reviews and shorts are good enough for the people looking for shorter content. I've been consuming motorinc firsts through Spotify(audio only). I personally don't get a lot of value from this format, because the long drawn out discussions is what I find appealing about the firsts. Love the videos, keep up the great work🎉
For a long terms purchase AD, we suggest you get a test ride so you know what they’re like… and then do nothing till say April next year by when more about their reliability will also be known.
Took a test ride today of the Himalayan, low and mid range is quite good, topend performance is ok. I felt that the engine is not stressed to make the 40bhp power. I ride a KTM duke390 second gen and I'm spoiled by the topend rush. Do you think a piggyback ECU might add some more fun on the top end? Should I wait for upcoming 390 Adventure and the Adv based on Aprilla RS457 to make a decision?
Considering the touring aspect and that the Himalayan is also meant for foreign market, will it be able to do a 140 kmph Cruze for a continuous period of time?
Nice job! I continue to look forward to and watch the long versions, and now will look for the short-version summary too. NOTE: I like that bite of sarcasm? at the end 'thank you for staying with us all to the end' of this short version summation. 😂
Never had a channel like this before, Iam no bike or car enthusiast, but I love design, engineering and technology,so i understand the tech aspect of it. I can tell one thing i love the reviews and the presentation in english
I have the Himalayan 450, but I find the seat to be a bit uncomfortable. It’s a bit of a ball crushing experience, if you know what I mean. Which seat should I get to fix this problem. The rally seat, the adventure seat, the low seat, or none of these (can’t be fixed).
Touring seat, if more on-road oriented, along with longer rides but also comfortable for moderate off-road on the way. Or else go for the rally seat if more oriented from moderate to hardcore off-road and for basically shorter rides as it's narrower. Also, with the rally seat you get as little space as MT15 along with pillion, and neither the pillion would be any comfortable there.
I think we need both formats, the summary and the analysis, not everyone has the time to listen to the whole thing, but the finer details usually come out in the analysis, which I personally prefer. I have ridden the OG for a very short distance and that was the BS3 and i liked it back then. This one I am totally in love with, since I havent really seen one in person let alone ride it, I really cant say how I would rate it. I am not planning to buy one, but really looking forward to atleast riding one. just over a day to go for the prices, I just hope its as low as they can logically price it. I hope this flies off the shelf (which is almost hard not to happen) just so that the competition takes notice and does something with their bike. I wish Hero also takes notice and may be provide a more potent competitor in the 400/440 guise.
As always, great short video with no facies. The Himalayan 452 is a great answer and a much awaited treat from RE to all the adventure riders out there. But to be honest, I hate to call it an "Adventure" tourer/bike, not even the old himalayan. Its 21" front directly puts it to the more aggressive class of Dual Sport and Enduro. There's no doubt RE has another "world bike" in their shelves.,and this one is much to the likes of the extremely versatile Suzuki DRZ400.
The summary is 10/10. I mentioned it before as well, I purchased RE Meteor 350 after seeing your reviews on your previous channels. Now, I wish to upgrade from my bike to either of these RE Himalayan 450 or RE Int. Bear 650. Waiting for your videos on RE Bear 650😊🙏
This is like a serious one with all the fun elements removed from th MotorInc First of the Himalayan 🤭 You guys might have got a harder time doing this than recording one with Shumi & Karthikeya You're always amazing 🤘
Displaying numbers on the screen when you talk about rpm , torque or speed would help make it intuitive and retain attention even in short video format and a long one too Kudos to you for trying something new :)
Switchin from a 125cc, Honda SP 125. Should I go for Himalayan ? Took a test ride, did not feel it's too heavy or anything. Loved it, but can't decide between this and Triumph 400X
From a ~10bhp bike to a 40bhp bike is a HUGE jump Satyajit! Be super super cautious! We think the 400X is better in the city and the Himalayan is the better bike of the two overall.
Hey MS! The linked monoshock - when designed properly can provide better comfort in different conditions - good/bad roads or with/out pillion than a directly mounted monoshock. The links create a non-linear lever effect - tuning that provides a wider range in which the shock is in its “sweet spot”. Hope that helps.
Brilliant...! Summary: 9/10. This format is particularly useful to share this with some friends of mine who have an attention span less than golden retriever puppies 😅😂
I’m a student and currently have an OLA s1 pro as my daily commuter but I love ICE bikes more Will it be fine if I buy a BS3 Rc390 at around 85-90krs???

Loved the summary ...9/10 ..!! Only one thing viable alternatives and some thing for us noobs . How do you think it stands in terms of value with competitiors in class if any
My 99% cummute is on broken concrete road 1% on paver blocks and planning to go on long ride once in a month, Which bike i should choose Scrambler 400x or new Himalayan.
Hi Shumi! I have been planning to buy a 400+CC bike. I have narrowed down to the Himalayan, but I have one concern. The chassis breakage issue due to apparently due to aftermarket fastners or guard. Even though I always give any of my vehicles to dealership service, I have seen that few aftermarket parts get into dealership service too after few months or years. So will it be prudent to from safety point of view? I am always a cautious buyer. The only gamble I took was buying an Ather 450 1st Gen when it just came into the market in 2018.
Absolutely 10/10 for the summary and review. Like the lenght of thr video. The format is very interesting and gives a bird eyed view. So thank you for this. @shumi sir I dont know if you would answer this for me, Im an existing 411 owner and i love the idea of having this bike in my garage mainly because of its enhanced touring capacity and the tubeless wheels, not to mention all the bells and whistles that it comes with. If I sell the 411 and buy the new one I will have to invest another 150k minimum. Then I question my choice and wonder would it be wise to invest in the new one because of the hype and marketing or shall I invest that much money in fuel and tour on my current 411 OG Himalayan, someone please answer this for me.
Wonderful 'Shu-mmary'. May I request for a comparison between The Himalayan, Triumph Scrambler 400 (obviously) and Hero Xpulse 200 4V (the underdog)? Thank you.
Well Sir I have got a question that is regardless the off roading capability…how’s it gonna feel or perform ON road i.e., on Turmac daily city touring roads ???
Hey MotorInc, whats your take on the flex fuel. Seems that its going to enter the market sooner than later. Though I agree with all the environment friendly reasons, I am equally concerned about my vehicle's engine. I am not so sure with the fuel having a blend of methanol or ethanol would be really good for my bike's over all lifespan.
Traction control can be helpful in slippery conditions @supbrahstar8883, cruise control on the other hand, can be helpful for a very long ride but not exactly essential.
Hey guys, I got a question. Is it possible for the Himalayan ‘452’ to get upgrades like traction control and cruise control later on or does those things need to be built at the factory stage?
I love the new format like a clear explanation as to what the bike actually is v/s the spec sheet i wouldve liked just some additional info on how it behaves in city traffic on open roads twisties and offroad for example is the bike tractable

For a long terms purchase AD, we suggest you get a test ride so you know what they’re like… and then do nothing till say April next year by when more about their reliability will also be known.
Himalayan is the better all rounder. The Scrambler is a more fun city bike.
As its not officially available on stores for a quick demo or view. I would say 10/10 for the info to consider re 450 himalayan
Thanks!
10/10 Summary. Looking forward to more of these.
Thanks for the feedback!
This summary is greater than all the reviews combined on the internet. 10/10 .
Glad to know it hit the spot!
Loved the old format, but loving the new one even more. Short and Precise.
👍🏽
This format is exacty what we need in this information overload age. And its as crisp as the show!
Kudos to motorinc team!!
Thanks!
Nice job! I continue to look forward to and watch the long versions, and now will look for the short-version summary too.
NOTE: I like that bite of sarcasm? at the end 'thank you for staying with us all to the end' of this short version summation. 😂
👍🏽
@Shumi which one is better for driving on a long route with pillion - Himalyan 452 or Triumph srambler 400x? The seat size and comfort wise..
Never had a channel like this before, Iam no bike or car enthusiast, but I love design, engineering and technology,so i understand the tech aspect of it. I can tell one thing i love the reviews and the presentation in english
Thank you very much!
Hello!
You covered everything which one needs to know before making a purchase! Perfect.
Thanks for the appreciation! 😁
Hey Sharad! Good point! The reason why we don't classify the Himalayan as a dual sport is because it doesn't have the aggression in its DNA at all
*12/10 for the SummaRap extra marks for the breathless/relentless rap 🥵*
Haha! Thanks!
The content was precise and to the point. Love the way you guys speak.
Thank you for being here!
For touring will you recommend Himalayan 450 or interceptor
Yay, my feedback was received and implemented 😍
Longer video is amazing but keep short summary as well for like quick reference point.
Appreciate the help!
Spot on summary 10/10 excellent 👏🏼
Thank you!
Rode the Himalayan 450 and thoroughly enjoyed it, the only doubt is to whether to wait for 2025 390 or just get the Himmy. How far is the KTM launch?
How good is Himalyan 452 for city use? Like channeling through traffic, maneuverability, heat management, fuel consumption?
We will find out soon when we get it for test at MotorInc HQ. But - it’s a good adbenture bike - and that should make it a great city bike too.
I love the idea of the detailed long version being supplemented by this TL;DR / exec summary version.
Thanks Akaxe!
Now the Himalayan is priced more can the new yezdi adv can replace the same...?
The summary is 10/10.
I mentioned it before as well, I purchased RE Meteor 350 after seeing your reviews on your previous channels.
Now, I wish to upgrade from my bike to either of these RE Himalayan 450 or RE Int. Bear 650.
Waiting for your videos on RE Bear 650😊🙏
Sir, Should I go for Himalayan 452 or Triumph scrambler x400. I am 6. 2 feet, looking for a comfy city and highway rider. eWill not do more offroading
This is like a serious one with all the fun elements removed from th MotorInc First of the Himalayan 🤭
You guys might have got a harder time doing this than recording one with Shumi & Karthikeya
You're always amazing 🤘
Hey Aravind! Glad to know you enjoyed it.
10/10
short, crisp, on point.
Thank you!
Displaying numbers on the screen when you talk about rpm , torque or speed would help make it intuitive and retain attention even in short video format and a long one too
Kudos to you for trying something new :)
Thanks for the recommendation!
Great point! Thanks RM!
The summary was 10/10 as always.. and you were so right about the pricing.. kudos
☺️
9.9 out of 10. very to the point as always. waiting for your ride review and any further update on bike since this video.
Thanks @gauravchauhan177. Please find our review here: th-cam.com/video/N8ff7xB1Ze8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=xl6Aq5lOBlHqEqh2
Missed a few weeks due to work. Now I have a number of videos to watch back to back. Haha :D
Great summary, but I would always want the long and engaging conversation that is the full episode of FIRST
What benefits does linked monoshock have compared to direct fitted on the swinger? Would love if you guys can answer this query? Summary is 10/10...
Now we are just thinking about doggies. There goes the afternoon. 😁
Love your content. On point and no backwas.
Fallen in love with motoinc team
Thank you for being with us!
Do vibrations creep in at any rpm range and refinement?? I would like to know that when u get to ride one. Apart from that 9/10 review.
Some faint buzz here and there, Kartikeya reports, nothing to complain/worry about
I’m a student and currently have an OLA s1 pro as my daily commuter but I love ICE bikes more
Will it be fine if I buy a BS3 Rc390 at around 85-90krs???
Sorry guys but I had this question since I heard the exhaust note qj srk 400 it's a parallel twin right I don't know 270° or 180°or 360° crankshaft angle cause no body in moto journalism at least on TH-cam had explained it, why this engine sound like a inline 4 ? Please do answer 🙏
Love the cut version haha
I recommend watching the full video also!
Perfecto!
Which bike should i buy scrambler 400 or Himalayan, i will mostly ride in the city and traffic
We have a Short on this topic @samarthraj1540, please look for one with the title "Are Your Crash Bars" on the channel.
When tubeless rim launch for himalayan what will be the price...
Absolutely 10/10 for the summary and review. Like the lenght of thr video. The format is very interesting and gives a bird eyed view. So thank you for this. Keep making these short videos and also incorporate a comparo if possible. At last thank you with heart filled with love and support as always. 🦾👊🏻❤
Thanks so much SS!
@@motorinc proud to be a part of the team. 👊🏻✌🏻
Please make a review video/short on Scram 411, if it is still relevant after Himalayan 450
Hi, your doing good job keep it up. Wanted to know which one you will suggest is it Himalaya or Triump Scrambler bit confused on it
Please allow us time to thoroughly test the Himalayan first… we’ll revert on this
If you have to compare the suspension and seat conformant for a long ride of the BMW G 310 GS, How will you rate Himalayan?
We'll comment on this after we test the bike thoroughly, if you don't mind?
Everything on point, no nonsense review, its a 110/100
Thank you!
How is it to saddle?? Pillion comfort?? Any idea if 650 himalayan is in the pipeline?? Thanks guys for maximum effort😊
Seat comfort and pillion comfort were good. We will share a final view on it after we ride it in Mumbai.
which one should i choose? I have shortlisted scrambler 400 ,HD 440,meteor 350,yezdi roadster,cb350 & himalayan. My rides will be mostly in city and occassional highway rides upto 200 kms.
We would ignore the Yezdi and the Honda straightaway. Not worth the effort, really. Of the rest, please do get test rides and ping us? We think the 400, 440, H and M350 can all manage your requirement but they feel quite different in feel and you should get a sense of it before we discuss it further with you
Hu shumi, Thanks for your swift response.I did a test ride for all the three.Meteor was a bit heavy and it was not easy to make u tuns in heavy chennai traffic and also the ergonomics was more suited for highway rides.HD X440 was also heavy but i felt more comfortable in heavy traffic.Even though looks were not that great and build quality was ok,once i rode the motorcycle,it made me forget these issues. It was heavy, but the weight distribution was good.Scrambler 400x was gorgeous to look at.It was comfortable in the heavy traffic. The seat height was on the higher side
but i was able to manage it.Iam 47 measuring 5'8 and weighing around 72kgs and trying yo get back to bikes after 8 years.Bit confused between scrambler 400 & 440.What will be your choice?
You're already 70:30 inclined towards scrambler 400 and it seems better fit for you and your requirements
Can please tell about the top end performance and vibrations as compared to triumph scrambler 400x .
The Himalayan can cruise better at higher speeds and has fewer vibrations than the 400X.
Wonderful 'Shu-mmary'. May I request for a comparison between The Himalayan, Triumph Scrambler 400 (obviously) and Hero Xpulse 200 4V (the underdog)? Thank you.
CAn do!
10/10, chasis reliablity and how reliable would be a ride by wire on RE ?
It’s not rocket science anymore and it will be sourced from a global supplier like Bosch or Continental. So, nothing to worry about.
At this price, can we compare Himalayan 450 and the Triumph Speed 400, my friend is thinking about Speed 400, what would be a better purchase
Well Sir I have got a question that is regardless the off roading capability…how’s it gonna feel or perform ON road i.e., on Turmac daily city touring roads ???
Should be good. Final opinion once we ride it here around MotorInc HQ!
Does traction control and cruise control matter for a new rider specifically and do they make a real difference in riding
There can be aftermarket solutions, from simple and cheap to sophisticated and expensive. But - factory fit is best.
I love the new format like a clear explanation as to what the bike actually is v/s the spec sheet i wouldve liked just some additional info on how it behaves in city traffic on open roads twisties and offroad for example is the bike tractable
👍🏽
Hello, I’m thinking to purchase Himalayan but want some info. Which one is better between touring & rally seat from both rider & Pillion and comfort perspective. Also I’m not hardcore off-roader so tubeless tire is good over traditional spoke ones?
