I don’t have the sort of patience. I rarely cooked with my mother and she called me from play to set the table which I hated to do because it was never right. (My grandmother lived with us) mealtime wasn’t as fun as yours either. I couldn’t stand the noise. I don’t see my great- grand children because the grown ups know I wouldn’t stay long. Kids voices really annoy me at a deep level. I know I’ll hear crap here but I raised four children with my husband’s help and looking back I don’t know how I did it.

God and family first, from scratch cooking, finding beauty in simplicity, working with your hands brings great fulfillment in you life. And demonizing those who are more financially wealthy does nothing but get us stuck in a mindset that glorifies the struggle of the poor. I've been poor, I don't want that for my children. So if I desired to advance my financial position, who should I seek advice from? Other poor people or from the wealthy who actively work for what they earn? I say the latter.

I've raised a house full of kids. Your doing a great job mom. Ours grow their foods n real home made food. Both are wonderful cooks, hard workers, take great care of their homes and are kind generous people of faith. Beans n certain veggies do give them gas.
