I actually recommend not changing the brackets if your gonna put up the same fan. I say this because I have messed up the bolts holding it to the ceiling. Especially on older cheap boxes where the bolt strips easily. But watching someone do it different is perfectly fine as well!! Thank you Lex

Hey lex do you have any solutions for when someone tears the sheet rock up for a ceiling fan mounting bracket?
I'm working a new construction property and none of these jackasses installed the ceiling fan right damn near everyone of them was over tightened with a drill and pushed the ceiling fan mounting bracket up into the ceiling
Yikes! You can try to shim it with wood shims and hopefully the wire cover will cover it. Other than that, I got no tricks for that as I've never encountered that kind of mess. 🤦🏼♂️ Sorry to hear what you're dealing with.
Lol I hate shimming but that's what you gotta do I just figured as many times as I've seen this issue they would have came out with a repair kit by now
The long wire was placed there in case if you are installing it on a tall ceiling.

You are lucky they used 14-3 Romex and put it on two switches such that you have a light and a fan switch. Most places have only black, white, and ground. In that case, it goes black to black, and black to blue. The resident then has a master switch to turn everything on and off, but he or she has a pull chain on the light kit to control the light.

I actually had the same, white Ellington (exact same as Kitchler) last at least 6 years at 8 hours per night. Ran extremely smooth to the point when I left that apartment, I decided to take the fan, lol.

Why didn't you put the plate that goes before the braket? I thought that helped prevent the wobbly fans.

@@LexVance yeah sorry its just the fans that i install come with the plate. The maintence guys tell me thats what helps prevent the wobbly fan but idk im still learning i just wanna make sure
surprised the fan still has screws and fiber washer for the blades, most now are quick snap in junk

Snapon blades is actually a whole lot worse than the screw blades since it is way more unstable
