Learning as I go and your channel is awesome! I just changed out my (rusted original) lighter for one like yours. I tested it before putting dash all back together and it worked (I didn’t know there were lights inside it, but there are and they lit up). Modified the dash hole for it, like you, put it all together but now the radio doesn’t work and neither does the lighter. Fuses are all good, no wires seem pinched anywhere, what should I check now?
If everything was working fine before putting it together I’d take it off again and test all things. Maybe a cable got pulled/unplugged while putting it back. I’d test your radio after unplugging the usb component as well. Maybe a ground somewhere got unplugged
Couple years late but I’m having an issue installing a 12v plug on my b2200, it’s just a normal 12v plug, not the one you are using in this video just the normal cigarette one and I tried replacing it and the install went well until I plugged in a charger to test it and it fried the charger making it smoke and get hot, tried 3 other ones and the same issue. Would you know why it keeps blowing up my charging blocks when I put them in there? It’s not blowing fuses on the truck either and I’m really confused
I'd double check your power and ground wires. Make sure you don't have them mixed up inside somehow and if all looks good, maybe test for voltage to see what you are getting.
You could just buy some wire at your local auto parts store and fit it with that or I'd recommend reaching out to amazon to exchange it or get that cable from them if you can
