I could not agree with you more. It's a warm fuzzy feeling. Beautifully tragic and haunting melodies male my heart sing.
That's such a perfect explanation. They always feel familiar and like home. Never boring though. This is probably the only band I have loved for 25 years without ever getting tired of them or being disappointed. I feel so lucky that they are still making incredible music so many years later, music I've been able to enjoy from my teens to my 30s and that will surely go into my 40s with me (I'm 38, not too far away). I also feel lucky to have discovered them growing up in the US, because they definitely weren't well known here. It's bizarre, really.

Oh, come on now. Saying EVERY song is a masterpiece is just sucking the bands cocks. Loud Like Love for example was a pretty poor album overall. Battle for the Sun wasn't the greatest either, but at least it had a few REALLY great tunes on it. Not that time makes one fan more of a fan than another, because it doesn't. But just for the record I've been a fan for 23 years.
@@needsmoreclipping I've been there since the beginning and while I don't think every song is a 'masterpiece' by any means, I actually really love the albums you mention- just coming at them after a bit of a hiatus with a totally open mind. They're not the same as the older stuff, but I certainly wouldn't call them bad albums.
Feels like it would have perfectly fit in the "Sleeping with Ghost". This just confirms how fucking great this band is.

I've been a fan of Placebo for a long time and got to know and love the band through the movie "Cruel Intentions" ❤️ Brian Molko's voice is unmistakable and leaves a lasting great impression every time! This song reminds me of the old style, a mix of "Black Market Music" and "Sleeping with Ghosts", I love it! So far I've seen them live four times and I hope for a 5th time soon! 🙏👍

Literally 11 seconds in when you hear that note - it's unmistakeably Placebo. I don't know how they do it. Years and years of being a fan and still they never get true mainstream recognition but I'm completely fine with that because yeah, not everyone is the same.

This is confirmation of what I suspected when I first heard "Beautiful James". A return to the kind of Electronica which flavoured much of "Sleeping With Ghosts". And I for one am extremely happy to hear this! I always wanted to see the band further explore Electronic music as not only am I an Electronic musician myself, but I have always felt that this particular sound fits Brian's voice like a dream! I look forward to hearing the full album next year! Placebo are comparable to Garbage. Another band who emerged in the mid-90's & like Placebo they've both survived the gutter press & transcended generations because their music, both old & new has remained consistently brilliant both in the studio & on the live stage!

My eyes picked out " Placebo are comparable to Garbage" before anything else. Haha. But yes, Placebo are great and their electronic edge has always worked well with his voice. Glad his voice is more restrained here too - I was getting a little tired of his loud=emotion style on BFTS and LLL, though I did love those albums too.

Every You, Every Me from that soundtrack was what got me, too, and hearing Pure Morning a lot on the radio around the same time. I still never looked into the rest of their music for a few years until I noticed their albums in a music store one day. I'll never regret buying Without You I'm Nothing. Might have taken some of us some time, but at least we all got here. Welcome aboard!

@@katerynanovodvorska1721 буквально дословно мои слова - про саундтек жизни. единственное, я использовал эту фразу в основном на англоязычных ресурсах в формулировке “most common soundtrack of my life”. забавно, что с выходом новых песен, я уже несколько раз видел эту фразу в отношении placebo. при этом разница в выборе слов для словосочетания - минимальна. примечательно, что не приходилось видеть подобных фраз в отношении других исполнителей.

I've pressed my cell's speaker inside my ear cuz I don't have earphones at hand..just wanna say DAMN!! this song is so unique ! The way he sings in a low octave..the lyrics which is literally like parts of our lives..the drum and bass part..this band doesn't get old for me. Since I was a teenager till now that I'm stepping into my mid age era. Brian you still have the most unique voice ever. 🤍
