If he can't handle any of the fast runs then at least land the correct bends or other parts that don't require much speed and technique and do his iwn thing in between... And if you believe that he should be allowed to do his own style then at least play notes in the right key. So many out of key notes
@@johankeller764 he rejoined in 2020 where he immediately had to write and record new material for an upcoming album. That right there is already a year’s worth of work right there. He was absent for 2 albums meaning he had to learn how many songs? And these aren’t easy songs even you are at his skill level. Not to mention he has many other projects he’s involved in. Yeah I don’t think he had much time.

Christian is great, so don’t get your panties in a bunch when I say this. No one goes to a official bands show to see a different version of the song. How would you feel if every new member( which is everyone except Stephen ) just did theirs own lines instead of the song. The solo to akroasis ( dare I say ) is the most iconic obscura solo since christians original solos himself. Tom killed it on akroasis. Rafael eventually learned it note for note too. And before you go all ‘ focal dystonia ‘ I’m sure he’s playing a pretty exact version of his original solos. This solo was written in christians style. Christian’s a monster. There’s always a way.
yeah, i was disappointed too, maybe he will learn it for later tours, he definitely is skilled enough to learn it. the original arpeggio section might be more challenging because he probably cant do some finger combinations required in those sweeps
however i really dont know why they even chose Akroasis on the setlist because the leads are what makes that song good. they could have chosen riffier track like the monist for example

Why the guitarrist is playing random notes on the arpeggios, improvising on the most iconic solo of the band, playing with the most ugly tone he find and PLAYING OUT OF TUNE??? Most important, where in the timeline Obscura started to sound like a cover band of themselves?

To everyone who doubts Muenzner's chops, feel free to learn any of his originals... Fountainhead is a beast clearly, he too can play a lot of Muenzner's stuff. It's not a competition. Plus learning all old songs of a band in a short time while making new songs is too much to ask for.

My guess is he couldn’t learn it in time since he only join the band recently again so I guess he had to do it his own way
