Decivye's OFFICIAL sound track was made by my good friend John Camara!
John Camara's channel: / johncamara29
Engine startup- 2:05
Flight deck tour and basic instruments- 6:15
Pre-taxi settings, Flaps, Autopilot setup- 9:35
Take off and controlling autopilot during flight- 13:23
Landing (Final Approach)- 22:47
For sure not my best landing kinda embarrassed by it but, it is what it is, it's very difficult to control the plane with a keyboard once autopilot is switched off! I will continue to work on this until I master landing with a keyboard!!
Just so you know, the computer will tell you what your V1 speed is on takeoff, aka your rotate speed. I wouldn't advise just hitting 150knots every time, check with your weight and balance.
FYI you are incorrect V1 is not the speed at which you rotate the aircraft that speed is actually called Vr. V1 is your decision speed weather or not you continue your take off or abort it for whatever reason being engine failure or whatever. Just because you hear pilots say rotate after the V1 call out does not make it your rotate speed, it just so happens the Vr speed comes shortly after V1. Also as you can see I did not set up anything on the FMC so the "computer" would not have been telling me what my appropriate rotate speed was. Also I was light here so I knew 150 would be enough for this video :)
@@Decivye Ahh yeah good call. In v1/vr. However, (and I'm not sure if the a320 does), the FMC calculates your V1/V2 values based on the weight of the aircraft, and some even give you proper engine percentage, as whenever I've flown as an engineer in flight test, I've never seen people firewall the throttle to 100% for normal takeoff.
Is there a PERF page that lists that on the 320?
@@rickmaff Yes there is a way to set all of this up on the FMC at this point in time still trying to learn the more advanced ways to set up the FMC.
For take off a320 pilot either set it to TOGA or FLEX depending on how much power they need and obviously that will depend on the weight of the aircraft and runway length. The shorter the runway and the heavier you are may mean you will need to use TOGA. I do admit that for my run I could have went with FLEX.
Yeah since im still working my way to flying the a320 in real life I am still in the learning process of fully setting up the FMC for a full flight procedure. :)
@@Decivye I checked in game, and it does work pretty much automatically to determine your V1/VR/V2 speeds, but it depends on your configuration before loading into the game. I included a screenshot that shows a near MTOW aircraft speeds vs one barely above OEW. The game makes it easy for ya, just check out PERF. Enjoy the quest to fly the A320. I found slow and low to be good enough for me, and somewhat more affordable lmao imgur.com/uv8ji5g
@@rickmaff just to clear things up ...
The MCDU (fmc in Boeing/ mcdu airbus) inserts the V Speeds into the speed bar (PFD). But only after you already calculated and inserted it in the mcdu first.
Calculations are made manually or with standard apps every airline nowaday uses.
The real airbus needs accurate weight, runway, temperature data etc - the one in msfs2020 is not a study level AC and simplified a lot
I have been looking at all videos on how to fly the airbus a320 and they were very confusing. After watching your video I set it up and flew from Orlando to Myrtle Beach airport with no problems. I even landed using the ILS and auto pilot. Keep making these videos. I love them!!!!!
Finally!! I couldnt understand shit but it looked all so interesting... finally someone who explains what the buttons do and how to use them in combination :D
thank you!!!
No worries! Happy flying! :)
finally someone who is able to explain things easyy, THANK YOU😍
Glad you liked it! :)
Hello i fly in vatsim for about a year now but for the beginners this video is gold you explained everything (correctly) without using hard works you shown everything location usages and everything. Amazing video i liked to watch it😊
One quick thing for making the knobs move quicker, also works for certain toggle switches, and for trim wheels. Hover over the knob, or whatever else, and use the scroll wheel. Love the vids, your ILS vid got me through my first IFR flight from KMFR to KPDX
Thank you for this! Yeah someone did mention to me about the knob using the scroll wheel im going to try it out for the next flight I have. I am super thrilled that I was able to help you out! Happy flying and thank you for the support! :)
38 dislikes are the people who haven't understood your simple tutorial
hahahaha it is what it is! They wouldnt have clicked on my video if they knew what they were doing haha
bc the video is fucking 30 mins and the intro is 3 minutes long fuck me
@@Decivye man my plane keeps going down when i activate ap
it does the complete opposite
Thanks! I'm new in this game and the video is very helpful. Greetings from Poland!
Shout outs to my viewers from Poland! Glad this helped you out! :)
Thought the landing looked a bit loose, but then when you mentioned "it's difficult on a KEYBOARD" I thought fair play hats off for doing it that well with key presses! I notice this video is a couple years old and assume you have some kind of joystick/yoke setup now. I'll have a look at your other videos and see how things have moved on.
Perfect dude, if you possible can you bring, Advanced controls and how to landing with ILS. Thanks, huge from BRAZIL
Thanks for your comment! Shout out to my viewers from Brazil! I have an ILS video up on the channel you can check that out. More flight videos are coming with full flights so stay tuned!
VAI BRASIL!!
Thanks a lot dude. Love your way of explaining things. You make it easy to understand all the difficult parts, even for a foreigner. Hi from Denmark/europe
Thank you so much I am glad you enjoyed it and found it helpful! Much love to my viewers from Denmark/Europe!
Thank you for the video and amazing guides!!
Fanatics job mate , it's so helpful, thanks ❤️
Thanks a lot man you taught me the whole game I was frustrated at first I wasn't able to fly but now I flew the plane on my own will practice more and will correctly get the accurate
Glad to hear that buddy! Happy flying! :)
This video helped a lot! Thank you very much.
Helpful thanks you keep it clear and simple, appreciated.
Beautiful Tutorial. Simple and to the point. Keep up the good work
Thank you glad you enjoyed it! :)
Yo everytime I engage auto pilot it just spirals me to the ground. Even when I have everything else engaged as well.
I have it to, did you solve it ? If you did please let me know how you solved it.
@@Simon-sm7iz Did you set your heading?
@@tomvennings6170 how do you set a heading?

Wow I really needed this thank you so much.
no worries! :)
Perfect! I've been flying the good old 737 on fsx and I'm new to Airbus. Your video really helped me, thank you.
I am glad that it did buddy! Happy flying!

I love your videos. Very happy I subscribed. I’m playing this on Xbox Series x. And this game was definitely a mouthful. But your videos helped me to successfully understand everything. Thank you for all your work. Cheers from Denmark 🇩🇰
cheers mate! I am really glad I helped you out! Happy flying! :)
This was very helpfull. Thank you for the video
Perfect video man. Exactly what I needed. U got a subscriber. A same video about the 747 would be awesome. Love from India
Thanks for the support! 747 videos should be coming up soon as well some time down the line!
Perfect picture quality, unlike many others. very useful, thanks.

Thanks a lot. I thought this game was broken but watching your video really helped me understand kt
Glad to hear it!
I love this, thanks so much for your clear instructions, continue your good job!
Thank you so much glad it helped you out! :)
Great video! Loved it. Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it! :)
@@Decivye A quick question. WIll you be showing how to use the ATC thing in detail?
@@prekshitbafna Yes in future videos I will. Normally when I do my flights on the simulator I like being free without having to go through ATC clearances and such. I will do some videos with them too tho so stay tuned :)
Thanks for the help! I’ve been a flight sim Boeing pilot for a long time and they don’t have a 737 yet so I am getting used to flying the A320.
Glad I was able to help you out! Cheers!
They have it but it sucks in comparison.
This is the best tutorial on youtube. So easy and straightfoward. Good job and keep doing what you do ❤
Thank you from middle of Sweden. I really enjoy the videos. Hopes you will keep on doing videos inside a320neo for a long time.
Thank you and shout outs to my viewers from Sweden! I will be continuing to make a320 videos! :)
Make sure to turn on both FD (flight directors) before you fly and the auto thrust should come on automatically when you push the thrust to the CL (climb) detent. No need to deselect the autothrust unless you want to fly with it off.
Thank you for sharing!
Do you set the speed before takeoff? I’m a beginner and don’t know shit.
Thanks for the video it has help me alot with flight simulator
Thank you so much! So clear and informative! Just what I was looking for! Thanks!!!
youre welcome :)
Thats the video i was searching.Thx !
June 2022 ....Beginner here I am! ...........GOOD simple video....... will follow on your other ones. OH one more thing: I'm having trouble manipulating the auto pilot panel with my mouse on the screen.. Is there software or keyboard Keys to adjust autopilot altitude, speed, direction (from the keyboard). Hey, thanks!
Enjoyed the video, thanks for bringing us the tutorial!
Glad you enjoyed it! Happy flying!
Thank you very helpful. I've subscribed to your channel. I'm new to fs 2020
I appreciate the support glad my video helped you out :)
Awesome helpfull video mate❤️
Cheers mate!
thanks alot mate, great guides 👏👏👏
Thanks mate glad you enjoyed!
thank you! this is really detailed and helpful!
glad it helped! Cheers!
Very good detail training, I did not know that you could control the AP without using the FMC configuration. Next question is ofcourse, when you fly on both AP and FMC how you override the FMC etc. But I assume that’s explained in your next videos, Big thanks for help.
Glad you found this video helpful. I have some full flight videos up where I set up a basic flight plan using the FMC. You can check those out :)
You can use the mouse scroll wheel to faster select the desired speed and heading :))) Nice video btw :D
Yeah ive been told hahaha! Thank you for watching :)
A few tips:
1. Use your mouse scroll wheel when on a dial to rotate through it instead of clicking
2. Click FD (under the 2992 in front of you) to see what autopilot wants to do
3. Turn off autopilot before active pausing during climb or descent... if you don't you'll either nosedive or shoot upwards when you unpause, and your trim will make it really hard to recover..
Thank you for sharing your tips this will better my experience and everyone who reads your comment :)
Excelent!!! Now i will try to put these in my Citation Longitude
Happy flying :)
Man this helped out so much
I am glad it did!
Recently I installed msfs and I have a lot of experience with flight sim but on keyboard it is harder, fortunately I just bought a Thrustmaster Joystick
first 3 seconds of the video are the best
10:00 for autopilot, np
Thank you :)
learned a few things will be working on following waypoints and achieving the desired altitude
Thats great to hear! Happy flying! :)
Hey there, Decivye. it is a fairly interesting video. thanks. :)
Thank you glad you enjoyed
Thx alot, this tutorial really helped me
Glad it helped you out!
Please make a video for full ILS landing and FMC programing seperately
Nice and very informative. I'm trying to learn how to get better using FLT 2020. Maybe you have a similar video describing the navigation in ILS, and can advise me. Thank's
New to flight sims. Been trying to figure out how to use auto pilot and this helped a lot. Thank you for making this video.
Youre welcome! Happy flying mate!
wtf you only got 91 subs? man you gonna grow like mad
he for sure is. he is the only one i can find that posts how to and help videos. I've been playing since the release. i played all of the training but those are just for the Cessna. I am completely lost in the planes like these. the game gives zero help for simple things like this.
Yeah im pretty small actually hoping to build up the channel!
Thank you for the support and kind words! Much appreciated!
Yea, he will grow fast. Amazing channel. I will buy him a joystick if he hit the 1000 subs 😂😛

Youre welcome! :)
THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCHHHH❤
Thanks young fella!!😊
No worries!
Great video !
Thank you!
Hi there, great videos! I got couple of questions. 1 I followed your instructions step by step, however my instruments appear to have a mind of their own. The FL, does not Expedite to what I set it; instead it does set itself to another FL which I dont know where it comes from? This also happens with the speed and heading settings? This is very frustrating. With fx I had no problems, all the planes and their instruments respond correctly and instantly? The other question is, how do you set up the instruments labels when you click on a switch, so they can describe their purpose. For example I notice that when you click on the heading button, the lable shows you the heading numbers as you turn it? I only get this huge labels which tells you nothing, like "INNOPERATIVE" for example.
Thank you, keep the good work.
how do I get the A320 can I make full flights?????
Awesome tutorial bro, I new nothing at the beginning now I feel much more satisfied!!! Awesome!
Glad this helped you out Lasse! Thank you for the kind words!
amazing video
Thank You pilot for helping me out!
Youre welcome glad I can help!
Thanks. I’m used to the 737NG and now trying the a320. Sadly the 737 is not available for fs2020 yet
No worries! Yeah I do hope it does become available in a future update!
@@Decivye This is the best tutorial on TH-cam! It’s clear and you explain things nicely ;)
@@v31.48 Thank you im glad you think so!
Hi, thanks so much for making this. Really well done and explained. What airport are you flying out of and landing in? I'd love to follow along.
No worries glad you find this helpful. This was done in Manila Philippines RPLL for the airport code.
Great tutorial ✌😎
Thank you! :)
I want to learn all secrets of flying Airbus. I hope to become real pilot so your help would be important at this moment.
Hi can you please tell me how to turn the knobs in the cockpit
use your mouse to click or your scroll wheel
@@Decivye thanks a lot ☺️
18:20 Hot take, just bring the TLA back to CL detent, or where ever it would be on your thrust levers, and your ATHR will go from armed to active. That way you want overspeed your managed speed of 250. I would also like to think the sim would give you an F speed and S speed to bring the flaps up on schedule instead of inducing toga lock on T/O. Also, you should be able to just pull heading on takeoff instead of preselecting on the ground. This sim is fucking spot on though
Good Video can you do a autopilot video on the 787-10 dreamliner too pls?
I would if I could :( I dont have access to the 787 right now. Maybe sometime down the line
Well played algorithm, well played!
Gid Gud!
What do you need to press to turn on autopilot after you take off?
Mine is set to Z
thx, now i can finally hijack this plane
have u got a video to show how to follow heading with auto pilot to destination and lining up to run way please sorry new to this on xbox never played before and loved this video helped massively thanks
Yes I do please check my IFR flight on the airbus a320 it should be included in the tutorial series :)
@@Decivye your legend thanks
@@gdhmunited6157 Much appreciated!
Wow legend thank you so much I was so stuck aha
No worries! Glad I can help!
Good video!
Great instructors
how to turn on:
1: put key into ignition
2: turn key and hold
3: wait for engine to start, turn on headlights
oh wait I got the wrong bus
17:05. "Turn on the autopilot". But you didn't press a button before you went over and activated the auto climb. Did I miss it, or do you activate the autopilot BY turning on either the autoclimb, autoheading, or auto throttle? THANKS
To turn autopilot on I had my keybind set to "Z" I think that is the default as well so you should be able to do the same :)
@@Decivye thanks. R u Canadian? Can't place the bits of accent I hear occasionally. None of my business though. Love your channel.
@@Robin-bk2lm hahaha its all good happy to answer this question. My dad is Canadian and my mum is filipina. I am currently working on my Canadian citizenship. :)
If i fly in my Kodiak 100 i have a map display, with a heading. Why don't airliners have this functionality?
How do you enable atc communication? They are mentally challenged and tell me to go around when I’m five feet from hitting the runway.
Your a LEGEND!!!!
Thank you thank you I do my best to be a legend!
Basically count? :p Good video thanks.
1000000 and thank you :))
Thanks. Suggestion: It's hard to follow along without first knowing the departure and arrival information (airports and runways).
Hi, I followed this tutorial but when going thru the checklists the instruments never turn on. Is this a bug in the x box? Please advise. It's driving me crazy
Thank you so much.
I dont get the arrow on the knob? Is it just a left click now in the latest version?
This is just perfect! This is my first serious take on a Flight Sim and i just did not know where to begin to fly this Airbus. This helps a lot! Do you also have a video on how to prepare and excecute an ILS approach? I just can't figure that last bit of the flight out...

Hi bro, how do you engage both airspeed & altitude mode at autopilot panel? I couldn't did it and only able to do the tuning
can you do a short full flight demo on the A320, thanks
Hi there! I have a bunch of full flight videos on the A320 on the channel you should check them out :)
11:00 Labeling on the ND mode selector Knob (second turn knob from left on the glare shield) is wrong, should be ILS not LS (labeling of pushbutton below altimeter baro setting)
i once forgot to pull up my landng gear and retract flaps and i was wondering why i was close to stall ADN so close to over speeding
How do i find the engage selected heading mode???
