Ho do I go about ordering you conversion kit. I just bought one at Harbor Freight and I see a lot of guys dousing this. I haven’t gotten mine yet. I will be using mine to machine down lead weights in HO and N Scale locomotives for DCC so that’s DCC Board and speaker enclosure can be added. I would like to order this kit from you.

Nice solution to get rid of at least SOME of those miserable plastic gears!

hi Roger nice video, keep up the good work,i have a minor suggestion, on the 9 mil bottom plate, what i ended up doing to my milling machine.was to get a large enough collar and place it on the very edge at the bottom of the spindle .and what i did was split the collar with a small saw,and then drill and tapped a 1/4 20 tread
to compress the collar, and then i drilled the collar to insert a 3/8 hardened steel to hold the spindle when changing the drill bits or to change the tooling...well i just thought i'd pass this on.

Why do no one who makes the conversions give a link in their description Where to get them?

if you replace the small shaft with a tapered shaft and a liner bearing. this will make contact at a 90 deg angle(with a spring to disengage the lock). you could use the speed select lever to lock the system for tool change.

Nice work, proof is in the pudding etc.........as this vid is 3 years old and I don't see any reference to a kit, and as I might possibly be indulging in one of these mills, basically all it consists of is a piece of 12 mm plate with 4 holes and one a lot bigger for the pulley and a couple of stand offs for the motor mount...........add another one for the motor mount and a couple of pulleys and Bob's your uncle etc. I suppose practically anyone with access to another mill.....OK, so without a mill you "could" manually hack one out of a bit of ally plate and get to the same ending.
The main thing is it's totally doable if you put your mind to it, the kit would be more user friendly for those without the know how to bang metal about.

Why do all the kits I see only have 2 brackets holding the motor up why not add a 3rd? It just seems with such great ingenuity you would add a third for more support of the motor.
